Constance was my Teacher when I was studying at the Royal Academy in London. You could not have had a more supportive and encouraging teacher. A lovely lady - I miss her tremendously !
I remember Constance very well, I studied with her privately in the 1980's. What a wonderful rich voice she had. She was a true lady. I remember at the time she only had two male students and it was refreshing for her to listen to me a baritone and the other student a tenor. It was also a relief for her pianist to play something different! She was certainly and inspiration. God Bless her xxx Andrew
I was lucky enough to grow up having Constance in my life, knowing her was a pleasure, our visits to her and my aunt, Jean Tredaway, were filled with such fun and excitement. I miss them tremendously but to see this on youtube is wonderful.
I studied with Connie at the RAM from 1983-84, when I was in my first year. I was really homesick, and she always started and ended each lesson with a hug. Such a wonderful wonderful lady.
What a wonderful LADY ... All that she says is also true for classical dancers .. I know because I was classical dancer .. A dancer has to "find his body", just like a singer needs to "find his voice"..... Man must mentally train, not only physical and the dance never disappear from the body .... Because it is also inborn ... I listen to her very carefully .. Great person ..Really GREAT !
Lovely to see and hear that beautiful Lady! No one has yet come close to her singing at The Last Night of the Proms! Truly a Grand British Treasure! Too bad there are no uploads of her singing at The Proms! Please can someone post her singing at any of The Last Nights!

I do have her singing at the last night on DVD in 1950's. A good friend of mine was very close to her Brian Court Mappin. Im not sure how to put it on youtube.

What a fabulous voice, and a wonderful lady.
Love this! Thank you.
A true spirit: dignified, warm, honest. Thank you for awarding me first place at the Player Wills Bursary!
