Lmao Cody said the same thing I did when me and my boyfriend watched this. I turned to him and said "her sister drove this whole way for nothing" and he busted out laughing at me.
It was fun in the sense of "how far can we go?"; however, they did a fantastic job of making Art creepy. Honestly, I can't decide if the actor for Art, the director, the cinematographer, or the makeup artist carried this the hardest.
I think it's safe to say that they all held their own in this movie. holy, am I traumatized
The director is also the makeup artist so I guess him? Damien Leone and David Howard Thornton (Art) absolutely nailed it
Lordy. I wasn't sure what to expect, randomly seeing this movie on netflix. But by halfway through... God damn. Wasn't expecting THAT.
Yeah and the sequel to this movie is supposed to be releasing in a few months lol

To be fair, pennywise would have no problem with being just as gory as art. It's not like he would get queasy being that brutal. It's just that he doesn't care to be THAT gory.
and pennywise doesnt even use any tools or surgical instruments to kill because he can shapeshift

Terrifier is great! This is the beauty of the genre. Creative, disturbing, horrifying, the movie set out what it was intended to do. Art the Clown is a great character, his silence adds to the horror. I hope they never make him speak. Keep the horror coming!

I liked the movie too, I just dunno, never see the appeal of what others say is appealing, that things are never explained. Why is he doing it, who is he, how is he reanimating? I'd like to know, instead of "it is trusted to my imagination". Well maybe in Terrifier 2... That is why I liked Freddy Krueger a bit better, he had a backstory, and an explaination even if magic/demons.

@@richardkutsera4992some characters don't need a back story. Sometimes things can get over explained and just create holes in the logic such as Freddy Keuger. Started off as a child killer back from the grave to a family man serial killer/molester that made deals with worm demons and collects souls. They were doing too much.

the "prequel" you mentioned (All Hallow's Eve) actually takes place somewhere after Terrifier 2 , and goes most into the supernatural aspects.
It was confirmed that Art didn't even know he would come back from the dead in this one .

You don't need to watch the "All Hallows Eve" prequel for the first Terrifier film, however I would suggest watching it before checking out the 2nd Terrifier film. Without giving any spoilers away, the first segment in the anthology shows Art's connection to a entity which helps to explain some of the things which occur in the later half of the Terrifier 2 film.

Why is this exactly what I was thinking? I'm a massive Terrifier fan who is always watching people's reactions to my fave and I sort of clocked some LGBT camaraderie here and then when they made it explicit they were together I was like yesssss so freaking cute. This skyrocketed to one of my favorite reactions because even though they were a bit icked by the gore at first they both gave it a fair shot and you can tell they were really watching the movie! Plus I love a good gay couple. Super cute and earned my subscribe.

I just watched this film for the first time a couple days ago. Holy cow, I was not expecting this film to be what it was! I laughed watching this when you talked about how the sister had driven down there for nothing. When both girls died I thought the same thing. "Damn she came down here for nothing and she had to be up for a test in a few hours."

The second one has such a higher production value but this first one is so much creepier to me. I heard the director say he's gonna make the 3rd one more scary and less silly.

Staring Steven Yen and Samara Weaving, it can be found for free on shudder. It is one of my favorite go to flicks. I highly recommend this film.

OMG! I love y’all! I’m a new subscriber! A really good movie that I enjoy is Martyrs (specifically the French version)! You fall for the characters, everything is explained, and the story line… THE STORY LINE!! God such a good movie! It isn’t a typical horror movie! @@thehorrorbandwagon He is most assuredly not. That movie stays with you in the most disturbing and torturous themes. I’m a fan of it, as the end result is really powerful, but damn will that film leave you with utter disdain for humanity.

I actually have to agree with Cody (17:10). I wouldn't recommend this to anyone,. unless they expressively love gore and nonsense. I watched this one by myself, buying into the hype.. and I personally just found it boring. Gore doesn't make a good movie to me, personally. Art is.. interesting? I guess..

All Hallow's Eve and Terrifier both stand on their own without being trope-heavy or campy, but Terrifier 2 *definitely* gives all kinds of nods to horror trope and elements of horror and the slasher genre as a whole. It's a fantastic film in that regard and a great series. Halloween Ends did not deserve the money that it got in comparison to Terrifier 2, which as a Halloween fan first and foremost... is a tough thing to say.

You guys should watch the prequel and introduction to Art the Clown. The movie called All Hallows' Eve which is a anthology horror movie and he awesome in it.
Why did the bug guy go outside for a smoke and later on he is smoking inside while working. The writing and acting lacked a bit in this movie but the clown is scary af and the gore on point

I heard all the buzz around part 2 and i had to watch the original first. i expected to be bored and un interested but i ended up loving it
It looks like an independent movie because it is an independent movie. This movie was completely funded by donations like GoFundMe and private donators. I agree with the 22% this movie is not for beginners in the audio commentary for the movie. They openly admit it was made for hardcore horror and slasher movie fans. So they held nothing back when it came to the kills. This is why I do not recommend this movie to people on CZcams that are not used to hardcore horror. Then if I mention it to reference something I give a good warning about how Bloody, gory and brutal this movie is. To the point its ridiculous I mean I make sure I mention how Bloody and gory it is a few times. That why if they decide to watch it they cannot say they were not warned.
Bad acting lots of gore. That's what this movie is. If you think Sinister (2012) is lacking something and this movie is great then something is wrong with you
This plays like a short film whose creators didn't know when to end it. It just goes on and on and on. With no reason to stick around once the two girls die. A lot of weird people jacked off to the gory bits and that earned enough recognition to continue aye. Just an awful movie. Good effects. Bad everything else.
Definitely don't recommend. Let's hope more of this low tier trash doesn't get made.
