It's a brilliant show. I love how the time travel aspect is a necessity. Whatever happened in the show/manga is a necessity to ensure that everything will play out in the end ❤️

I like how horimiya actually shows what happens AFTER the confession. Most romance animes make most of their content about the buildup, but with horimiya I really like how heartfelt it feels when it shows the struggles of how difficult being in a relationship can be.

Okay but let me recommend Yona Of the Dawn if you like the fantasy romance. It has some pretty good fight scenes, but also the character development is ✨chefs kiss✨

I finished watching kamisama kiss 3 days ago and i cry whenever i think or see tomoe and nanami. Its so good and im attached to it. my anime standards just increased so high, no anime can fulfill the void in my heart rn and that makes me feel even worse bcs ill have to deal with it and move on but i dont want to, its so underrated and not a lot of people have watched it so there isnt a lot of kamisama kiss videos and most of them are around 2-7 years ago. NOT ONLY THAT ROMANCE ANIMES ARE SO BAD THESE YEARS ITS SO HARD TO FIND A GOOD ONE PLEASE BRING BACK THE ROMANCE ANIMES DURING
If you haven't watched blue spring ride that can def help. I love kamasama kiss as well and be having it on repeat but blue spring ride i love even more. Oh and you can try out toilet bound hanoka kun, love is war, and devils line.

And it's been 8 years like I'm so confused. I wished someone would tell me if the MCs end up together before watching romance animes bc it's annoying when just nothing happens at the end, all that anticipation and for what. It's not like the plot is all that interesting
I feel that people seem to overlook many interesting aspects of Kamisama Kiss. It seems that people focus on the lovey-dovey and comedic elements and not on things like themes, characterization, etc.
A big reason why I really like KK is that to me, it is a story of one persevering through doubt and vulnerability (emotional and physical). The lead heroine, Nanami, is an ordinary human who finds herself dealing in supernatural matters that are way over her head. She can't handle physical things straight on because of her low power level, she has limited experience with the supernatural, she is susceptible to despair at times, and is constantly doubted upon by everyone for her weakness. And yet, rather than give up and bawl, she presses on, uses her wits, and finds a way to get around her situation (like figuring out how to use her ofuda in creative ways such as manipulating wind to knock an enemy off their feet). Sometimes, she needs some help from others like her love interest, which is perfectly normal for anyone, but unlike many female characters who just let guys do everything for them, she always strives to do something.
While many anime and manga have themes of perseverance, they tend to have characters who unrealistically soak up damage that makes Batman's recovery from Bane's beating look tame. With Nanami, I can easily relate to her and be inspired to press on through tough times.
Kamisama kiss is so good thank you for bringing more attention to it 😭 romance anime has such a special place in my heart. I can always use more romance recommendations. For rental girlfriend I hope you watched it once and didn’t think about it too much, because when you think about the actual themes for two seconds the whole thing falls apart and you realize what it truly is. Rental girlfriend’s concept deserves a better writer.

I was waiting for love is hard for otaku because it literally is such a good romance because the romance actually exists past just them flirting with each other, they get together in the first ep and address like actual adult issues in relationships, it's super funny and cute.

I recently started watching anime and I have never in all my time alive had so many shows that I want to watch. I have 90 anime that I want to watch and I don't have the time. Anime is one of the only things that I wish I got into earlier in life because now I have a backlog of what everyone says are 10/10 shows and only now am I beginning to experience them. My favs out of all these animes so far is kamisama kiss. This is the type of anime that i want sooo much but i'm sad it didn't end in them actually officially being together ?? If we don't count the ending of the OVAs (which were amazing btw, especially plot wise, i even cried it was so good, probably my favorite episodes out of all)
I recommend 3D Real Girl for your classic high school romance where the main leads get together on the first episode! Also Devil’s line for a vampire romance.
I've seen Plastic Memories and I cried.

Watched the 1st two series you mentioned. It's probably my least watched genre of anime. Idk if Stein's Gate counts as a Romantic Anime, it has elements of it.
I wish Horimiya was longer. I loved Kyoko's parents, especially the scene when the dad Kyoske meets Izumi for the 1st time.

Steins;Gate could count as a romance, especially as Okabe’s motivation in the visual novels is essentially how he can change history to end up with each of the women as separate alternate endings. The anime is definitely Okabe’s love for Mayushi, then more professionally inspired desire for Kurisu as motivators for his actions. Such a monumentally stressful rollercoaster ride to get the girl, though, holy smokes!

Horimiya & Snow White With The Red Hair are awesome!!!!! Many episodes heI do love the waiting mainly til the end to sob anime, but... I'm mainly into A Silent Voice, Your Name, A Whisker Away even something like Toradora. I love how all 4 have me sobbing from beginning to end (mainly A Silent Voice). I know A Silent Voice doesn't end like novel, but ending still gets me sobbing even more. Can we be friends from MC making Shoko cry makes me cry. That movie has a special place in my heart. Your Name is also special. Love the laughs to the ending scene that gets me crying. Komi Can't Communicate, Your Lie In April, etc. Also... I prefer dubs over subs & I'm tired of getting mocked for that with not being a true anime fan. I had an accident at 13 days ild that made me disabled. That accident messed up the side of the brain for memory & reading. I love reading, but can't read fast & keep up with the show, unless ppl prefer I pause 5 seconds in, read, unpause, let it change, pause to read again, etc. A 30 min show will become a 1-2 hour thing & lose the excitement if I do. So dubs. Ppl need to deal with it. It's my eyes & my choice. It's why I've been waiting for years for Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai to be dubbed. Heck... I'm a Nerdcore fan, too. I listen to anime rap daily. #1 amime raps I listen to are the A Silent Voice raps. Mainly "To Live - EpicDiamondX" (Like the movie... Shows how lonely I am, sadness, me hiding behind the mask, etc. & it uses the famous A Silent Voice beat), "Hate Me! - MASN" (while all gets me, chorus is catchy & understands), "Fall Apart - Reyny Daze", "You - Divide Music Ft. Golden EMP", "Fake - S.S Rap x Foxy", "Stuck - S.S Rap X BlackFrost Hee Ho (weird name, but he's good!!!!!) & more plus AMVs.

And I love that it kind of breaks the trend of romance animes with couples that build up to the confession and kiss at the final episode, not saying that trope is a bad thing!! It’s just that it was very unique! Like they slept together in like the 3rd episode or something like that! You don’t see that every day!
another good one is tsundere children (i swear the title isnt what it seems) you're basically just saying "GET TOGETHER ALREADY!!!" the entire time😀 but yea its about multiple couples which i think is really cool bc then u can pick your fav 2 ppl :)

The best romance anime ever is “say I love you” I don’t care what anyone says it’s just too perfect and it hits my heart, as a hikikomori I’ve watched 100’s of anime’s and none can top it, I would say Horimiya comes close but because he cut his hair off it put me off😂

If you like Rent A Girlfriend, you'll love Yamada Kun And The Seven Witches. It's funny and downright amazing! Yes it's a harem, but it's not your stereotypical harem. Yes there are a ton of girls, but the main character is only focused on one. The pacing is good and so is the story, and I highly recommend it. 🥰

Okay so I just watched Watakoi and will say that while the show has two couples in it, there's actually very little romance in it. I was kind of expecting more progression but I would say that it focuses more on the friend group and Otaku culture than romance. It's still a good show, but I almost wouldn't really call it a romance anime

Silver spoon and monthly girl nozaki kun. The former isn’t a full romance but the romance is great. If you want a nice farm anime highly reccomend. The later is the king of comedy anime. Laugh out loud funny, at least for me. Oh, and baby steps, if you like haikyuu and romance anime it’s that but with tennis. One of the all time greats.
