That's my problem with these NFL teams when you draft a rookie QB let them sit and learn from the Veteran QB ex: Patrick Mahomes learning from Alex Smith, Brady learning from Drew Bledsoe etc

I'm hoping Zach does well in the NFL, but going to the Jets is not ideal. He really needs to sit behind someone for at least a year. The Jets will have to be very patient with their situation, because putting a rookie in as your starter is not just a throw away year, it has the potential to do damage to this kid, physically and otherwise. People are putting an awful lot of pressure on Zach and I think he will be unfairly judged for not performing as well as Rogers and Mahomes currently are.

This is such a loaded question that depends on a lot of factors outside of the quarterbacks talent level and ability to play the position. He’s got a have the right type of coaching, that will know how to develop him, a system in place that is conducive to his skill set, and the right pieces around him to complement his skill set. People just think that it all comes down to talent and skill/will to play the position. But it’s so much more to it than that in determining how a quarterback is going to turn out. If you give a talented QB to a great offensive mind (Andy Reid, Sean Payton, Sean McVay etc.) Chances are he’s going to put up tremendous numbers and have success. If you give most talented QB’s to a poorly ran franchise who doesn’t know how to develop QB’s well (Chicago, Jets etc.) Chances are he’s not going to be very successful.
