They really didn't do their research on the Panthers. The o-line is really good, Miles Sanders was Pro Bowl RB last year, Hayden Hurst is a solid TE, and while there aren't any stand-out WRs, Thielen, Chark, and TMJ is a serviceable receiving corps. Definitely a good situation for a rookie year.
Bruh, it could be much better. Depends on what the team drafts tonight and tomorrow. The receiving corps looks mid or mid minus, O line is good, TE is okay but could yograde for sure

levis declined because he has a trash OC in which we fired immediately after our season, trash OL and mediocre receivers with freshman because the others got drafted. the defense kept him in most of the games sure but changing schemes midway after being successful with the first OC is a hard change

As a bears fan I'm happy that the panthers gave us a good overhaul for that pivk. They also went in free agency and picked up Adam theilen and dj chark at wr, Hayden Hurst at te and miles sanders at hb whike still having a good young defensive core. They are on the right track to be a great team

I rock with Shannon but I hate when the national media doesn’t do their research. They had a top O line last year and they added Sanders, Chark, Thielen and Marshall is coming along! This team is build for a rookie QB.
None of those guys are WR1s. Sanders will struggle without the Eagles Oline
If Chark is good coming back from injury or they make a trade for a good WR1 who they can bring in. This team looks bright.

As an NFL fan I’m happy they got Young. I’m also happy with the pieces they have picked up so far in the offseason on offense. Only thing I’m not sold on is their new OC. I’m honestly not expecting a lot in Young’s first season but the division is weak and very winnable so who knows. Should be an interesting season.

All star coaching staff, one of the best young defenses.
They also traded for this pick so obviously not the worst team, and last but not least they won 7 games with a worst team and was one game away from along the playoffs with darnold and mayfield on the team.
Bryce by far went to the beat situation. Just because we don’t have Jerry rice and randy moss and Gronk and Barry sanders on our team doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any weapons 😂
We have pretty good offensive pieces and Thelin was more productive than more with touchdowns and Chark was a pro bowler and miles sanders was a pro bowler and hurst was good with the bengals.
But because they came to Carolina there all of a sudden horrible and mid, but I guarantee if someone like the cheifs or cowboys signed them or anyone else, they would be considered good pickups.

Bryce Young is good. He’s been there and done it multiple times. He plays in the SEC, literally played against some future NFL picks, and cooked UGA in the SEC Chip in 2021. Obviously yes they lost the National Championship.

@@jaredhill4425 Panthers were two games from winning their division, with Darnold and Baker playing almost the entire season. They also got a great offensive staff, good OL, and one of the best DCs in the NFL to coach a really good young D.

I really do not get going after the QBs from the top end schools that always have elite weapons. They rarely pan out because they get by on having WR and RB who basically always win their matchups. How many have dominated at the NFL level? Tua might have but he had injury concerns coming out.

Carolina compared to the rest of league is pretty low on talent and have no true start power so it makes sense for someone to say they can’t name anyone on the team even if they know the people. I remember when this was Baker and other number 1 picks at qb. The expectation are too high this isn't tennis or any other one on one sport . A lot goes into building a Superbowl team . The young man at Alabama had a advantage Alabama. The NCAA is catching up to Alabama. He goes into this season with a o line in year 2 of a rebuild and chemistry. They traded away a number 1 receiver to get him to a team with a quarterback with similar attributes. Height same as Baker Mayfield will his balls be batted down as well ? On paper this looks good the game isn't played on paper . What is the game plan to make him successful. How much of a learning curve will you give this young man . The bar is set high that is a lot to put on the shoulders of a 21 yr old . I love the pick but bring him along slowly. Let him catch up to the speed of the game at the pro level. He might have to sit a year and run the practice squad. He doesn't have Cam size to take and dish out punishment. The guys on the other teams on the other side of the ball get paid to knock out qbs remember that. This is a project with tremendous upside if properly managed . If not this has the potential to go down hill fast and he take the blame . New headed coach new defensive coordinator there is to many new variables in the mix here. Aaron Rogers sat how long before he was called for duty learning under who hall of famer Brett Favre , Steve Young ,Joe Montana, he needs a journy QB to teach him the ropes until he is ready but who ? Someone with a similar style if play like a QB groomer Warren Moon , journeyman QB player coach perhaps a Tyrod Taylor as the transition QB . I'm just saying. He has been in the league awhile similar style and size .

Bryce should be fine. People seem to forget that in Cam's rookie year, his WR were Steve smith, Legedu Naanee, and David Gettis (both out the league by 2012). He also threw for the most yards by a rookie (at that time) with a shaky Oline and a struggling rookie Byron Bell at RT. This was also when Cam couldn't throw a decent checkdown pass to save his life, he would literally throw missiles from 5 yards out lol. What matters the most is scheme fit. Cam had Rob Chudzinski as an OC that year and they played to his strengths running a college style offense. With the changes we made at head coach and OC, i just dont see Bryce struggling as much with this WR core.
They definitely haven’t researched their off season moves the Panthers aren’t finished either!

Now all of a sudden everyone loves small qbs for the same reasons they objected before. Flavor of the year.
I'm going to need to see it to believe it... no doubt the best pick but if we could have gotten the 2nd pick instead and not lost DJ Moore or something like that it would be much better. We have a young injury prone offensive line, we have a shallow injury-prone running back core, we have 3 receivers who are all second options on other teams. Now add to the mix a short QB and a brand new coaching staff - there is so much work to be done.

Crazy thing is that they’re talking about needing to surround him with talent like burrow but when cam was drafted he had no one. A old Steve smith, Ted ginn and later Greg Olsen. He took that team on his back to a championship without a top receiver
In Cams rookie year, his WR 2 & 3 was Legedu Naanee and David Gettis, not Tedd Ginn (both out of the league by 2012). He also had the most yards thrown by a rookie (at that time) due to Rob Chudzinski being the OC. They ran more of a college style offense and it helped Cam tremendously. All of saying is if they play to Bryce's strengths, I don't see him struggling with the weapons he has or the oline. People seem to forget that but REAL panthers fans don't 💯👌
Being in Charlotte for years, i will FINALLY have an interest in watchi the Panthers, give Bryce some good WR'S and a good OL and running back. then the Panthers will be a playoff team year and year out with a Super Bowl in the future. RTR !!!!
