  • This is a hearty dish, if your on a budget, to use old vegetable up, i am using a gammon joint, but this can be made vegetarian and vegan, should you wish, by using stock cubes that are vegan, instead of the gammon joint i have used, these didhes were popular around october, as the vegetable growing season came to an end, also during the war, vegetables were not rationed, and its a dish, that can be done many different ways to suit, your budget as you will see in video 3,
