I like them! They give extra texture to the story.
I think they add a nice touch. I would prefer more to be honest; maybe replacing onomatopoeia with the corresponding sound effects instead of just reading the word
I enjoyed them. You read so well you don't need them, though. I enjoy listening to your stories either way.

I liked the human narration ten times more than the AI narration of stories. The inflections, speed, and emotion resonates the story far better.

He got the story from AI, then gave it a voice. Good for him, but too similar to 100's of AI voice stories. The stories are always the same.
@@russellbradley2144Eh at least those pesky Zorgans and Zoltrans haven't made an appearance in this HFY universe yet and he edits the stories to be mostly coherent with minor forgivable mistakes unlike those 100s of AI generated and AI voiced "stories" that make no sense.
The ending to the story was a little trite but the actual human voice was a big plus

War is hell. One of the greatest quotes I've ever heard on the subject is from General George S Patton: "War isn't about dying for your country. It's about making some other poor sonovabitch die for his!"
Plus, my favorite, "War... War never changes."

"War never changes" just means it is the same mechanism behind it today as was at the start:
One party kills another party in the name of a future peace. Everyone's got their own ideas of how to make peace, nobody agrees, everyone fights and kills and eventually one party doesn't die. The write the glorious history.

Human: my kind have killed each other since time emimorial and we've gotten really good at it, human blood has shed in every square inch of my home world of Earth. This alone should be more than qualify me to take such a role.
I never knew how amazing a story could be told when said with actual human voice and not by AI.

The Bible says the “meek” shall inherit the earth. The translation is not correct. It should read “ those who possess swords, but keep them sheathed” shall inherit the Earth. This story reflects that philosophy.
Meekness is power under self-control. Meekness never meant weakness.
Neat idea, but where are you getting this translation from? Neither the Hebrew verse from Psalms 37 nor the Greek from the Sermon in Matthew 5 says anything like what you claim. They pretty much say "meek" or "gentle" or maybe "one acknowledging his need" - nothing about swords.

I think @skydivingcomrad1648 has an accurate representation of the word. 2 Corinthians 10 uses meekness and gentleness in the same sentence. In that context humility seems to be the most appropriate synonym. Again, it has little to nothing to do with power or ability. The picture I have heard used to illustrate the word is a horse with a bit in it's mouth, the power of the horse is controlled by the bit (ideally anyway). In the OT the word is used in relation to humility and submission in regard to God in a lot of cases. In the minds of the people penning those words the power of God is absolute and immutable. The idea is letting God do the heavy lifting, that is very far from a lack of power. It also is acknowledging that it is not the place of the people to try to assume the role of determining what God does. It is a really interesting word when you look into it. I think I could spend a week lecturing on the philosophical entailments of 'meek' in the Theological context of the Bible.

The council forgot one of the oldest rules - ''If you want peace prepare for WAR'' - they were ill prepared - Humanity has been preparing for war for 100,000 years, forever honing and adapting their tactic's.
Let me tell you something about humons, nephew. They’re a wonderful, friendly people, as long as their bellies are full, and their holosuites are working. But take away their creature comforts, deprive them of food, sleep, sonic showers, put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time, and those same friendly, Intelligent, wonderful people will become as nasty and as violent as the most bloodthirsty Klingon.

Wow that was the first time I'd ever heard a Sci-Fi narrated. I can usually handle Sci-Fi movies but sci-fi books and stories have a tendency to bore me. I actually enjoyed this. And the narration was very good as well

One thing, humans do best is fight. Peace is only the silence before a war no matter what there will always be a conflict big or small humans are never truly at peace.

That it is sometimes necessary to do monstrous things to survive, it does not mean we have to become monsters.
You are correct - you become a monster, if after ''winning'' you continue to do so. The General was correct in turning down Ruling, The Council shall always rule, but humanity will be the spear if ever required again.
Power should never be sought after(and those that seek it, should never obtain it), but gifted upon those best suited to wield it in defence.

I like how the rest of the races might seem as the most unhinged protectors. “What do you mean if even a single human remains they will fight until death? No race fights as individuals, that might even fight amongst themselves if they have no other race to fight” is just… a fascinating concept

I love it. I've read a lot of stories the last few days about the same theme of Earth and the Galactic council each slightly different but very similar and obviously written by different writers following some sort of guidance that can best be described as a TikTok or Reddit trend. The stories are repetitious and can give you a nasty disorienting sense of Deja Vu. Call me stupid but I seem to like them all except the 2 / 3 hour long stories. Don't have the attention span for it. I love best the stories about abandoned and distressed alien children saved by brave earth warriors when no one among the galactic worlds would lift a finger. If I ever happen on a a half a billion dollars, I'd make these stories into tv shows and movies.
I like falling asleep to the long form versions. I tend to have some interesting dreams letting them play.
