The idea that this blade is a sort of live-wire, and that holding it in two hands completes the circuit and activates its power is an interesting one. I also like that just allowing that power to channel through you is what is hard, and what causes Arthur to breathe so heavy at the end here.

I have seen images that incline that such swords have been used in battle using electric power centuries ago. - I personally rather refuse to belive it, but it's interesting to see a similar concept here.
