My dad bought me an MP3 for my 12th birthday and loaded it with songs and artists he liked. One of those artists was Van Halen. They were one of the first bands where I actually took time to learn the names of the members. Eddie and the rest will always have a special place in my heart. RIP Eddie 🤘

Eddie was the first guitarist that I really looked up to as a kid and is still one of my guitar heroes and I still credit a lot of my playing style to him, it seriously sucks that we lost him but I’m still thankful for the songs he’s given us over the years and for inspiring me (and every guitarist in some way) to pick up the instrument back when I was 10 years old, and I think it’s time for heaven to experience an Eruption if its own

I was listening to running with the devil the second my friend told me he passed.

L HGonzo of course I’ve heard eruption and others tons of times. I just personally am not a fan of that kind of virtuoso shredding style, though I admire the talent of it tremendously

Even though I wasn't a big fan of Van Halen, I liked their stuff but not my favorite, I will say that he was a big influence on a ton of musicians and did a lot for the music community. I'm glad he was alive to make thousands of people pick up their first guitar and start to learn. I hope his passing will make younger kids start listening to them and start playing too. He was one of the best players and will be miss greatly.

@@CAMBIT very good guitar I have the 256 it’s around $480-$499 the stock pickups are really good I still ended up swapping them out with a set of emgs thought but great guitar I love it for rhythm stuff the only problem I have with it is it’s kinda hard for me to play any high notes from 19 and up

@@RiffRepeater i wanted to, but i dont even have a computer (or whatever console it may be on) to run it...or at least, im Pretty Sure they dont have a Switch version yet...i definitely dig the "More-Realistic" nature of it, compared to, say, GuitarHero or RockBand, but its still an investment i just cant afford to make these days...
