We hit the Ellis Island Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada for our very first time and check out the whole casino. Then we have a delicious meal at The Village Pub! 3/2024
We loved the casino and the food at Village Pub. We are heading back to try the Front Yard and Metro Pizza so that will come out soon. Thanks so much for watching and saying hi, tnqfburton!
Good Overview of the Village Pub. Like the other commenter, I'm old school... been going 25+ years to vegas. Man, back in the day, Ellis Island was so so so sketch... from the neighborhood (which still can be) to the clientele, all the security guys, but we always came for the food. But having gone so many times, we've kind of burned out on it... but good to see new customers find such good deals.
Howdy Hungry Vegas. Been here to eat quite a few times. Koval Lane and Flamingo Road. The Maxim Hotel/Casino used to be on the other side of Flamingo Road. I enjoyed eating here. My wife liked the slots here. Nice casino. They were smaller back then and didn't have a craps table. They didn't have Metro Pizza back then either. Do they have Keno runners these days? Nevada isn't close to Texas. If a place rushes me to eat I won't go back. That Prime Rib looks like it was never cooked. Green Beans are very good. Am subscribed and hit the like button. He won 1,000 credits. Cash out.
The Maxim! That's where I was shooting craps when this well dressed guy comes walking in the front door, goes straight to the craps table & throws down $2,000. He puts a black chip on the boxcars. I had $5 on the pass line, so I lost that when I rolled the 12. He wants to parlay but the Maxim had a $2,000 limit, so they call upstairs. It was quickly approved, then sure enough, I throw another boxcars. He's $90,000 richer & I'm broke!
The prime rib looked delicious and was a nice size. There are two types of horseradish, the one you were describing is horseradish with whipped cream (no sugar) and the there's straight prepared horseradish.
@@gambla1823 It can be, I've had both. To be fair this one is probably sour cream, around the corner at Lawry's they use the whipped cream and some higher end buffets seem to use the whipped cream.
Maxim is where I was shooting craps, a well dressed guy comes in, throws $2,000 down & puts a black chip on boxcars which wins. I was the shooter so I lost my $5, with only one red chip left to my name, which I put on the pass line again. That guy wants to parlay, but the limit is $2,000, so they had to call upstairs. It was quickly approved & I threw another twelve. He was $90,000 richer, & I was broke!
I've lived in Vegas since 1978, I was 6 back then. I will never understand the allure of sitting at a machine for hours pushing a button. I just don't get it!
We agree! It seems so boring but some people love it obviously. We aren't into it and the thought of losing our money that way is not enjoyable. But we love eating! Lol. Thanks so much for watching!
@@hungryvegas I actually don't eat out often. Before the covid lockdowns I was an executive chef for MGM international. I retired early when the vaccine was mandated. Working 12-18 hours shifts 6 days a week for almost 3 decades has its perks of not spending much money. Lotus of Siam would have to be my favorite. If chef Andre still had Andre's or Alizay it would be a toss up between them.
Glad you guys made it to my favorite place . I have to get back there to try the fish and chips.
Jodi wants to try the fish and chips next time! We loved it there!
@hungryvegas I had the fish and chips at a different Village Pub, and it was very good.
The fish & chips you'll love!
Go back & tell us.

I haven't had a meal like that in years. The prime rib looks wonderful.
It was excellent! Thanks for watching, James!
9:00 beautiful looking piece of Prime Rib!
Possibly perfect! Thanks for watching!

I recommend the Prime Rib Loft at the Orleans. A bit pricier probably, but the ambiance is very nice.
Oh! We have never been to Orleans and want to try that! Thanks for letting us know!
I've been to EI a couple of times, and I truly enjoyed the split pea soup! Next time I visit, I'll try one of your selections!

Madog, thanks for explaining and thanks for watching! Definitely a great deal for a great prime rib!
Watching non gamblers, gamble is hilarious, enjoyed that!
We don't know how and it is scary! 😳
Two versions if it’s chilly, it has no beans if it’s chili beans it has beans😂
LOVE Village Pub. Don't miss the ribs & chicken at the bbq restaurant there - one of the best-kept secrets in town. 100 stars.
BrakRulesAll, we saw that spot and we can't wait to try it! It looked so good. We watched them cooking and it looked awesome! Thanks for watching!

Ellis island. Our place to go for a nice delicious meal at fair prices.fits our budget while in las vegas.👍
Agreed!
Prime Rib looked great
Matt's lucky day finding the dime to put him over $5
Haha! Yes, Jodi was very happy... She is a bit cheap! 😂

😆
I liked the food critique, but watching the debate over a one cent bet in a slot machine was painful.
Not as painful as it was for Jodi. She hates gambling! 😆

Don't act so naive, why do people gamble ?

For me it's the flashing lights and way to many people in what is typically a small area.
Good video, BTW!
