  • Traditional GSB curry prepared with tender jackfruit or kadgi.
    Ingredients for kadge chakko -
    Tender kadgi (Jackfruit)
    grated coconut, 3 red chilies,
    small lemon sized tamarind
    1tsp urad dal 2tsp coriander seeds.
    For seasoning - 4 tsp coconut oil,
    mustard seeds and curry leaves.
    Procedure
    Cook the kadgi pieces in the cooker
    adding salt and little jaggery. Cook just for one whistle. Coarsely grind grated coconut,
    3 red chilies, tamarind along with fried urad dal and coriander. Slightly mash the cooked kadgi pieces. Add the ground masala to the mashed kadgi. Heat 4 tsp coconut oil in a kadai, put mustard and curry leaves. Once they splutter add the mashed kadgi. Add little water to it. Cook on a low flame for 5 minutes.Kadgi chakko is ready.
