- The Walking Dead are upon us! Today Jay and I check out Mantic Games miniature skirmish based on Robert Kirkman's hit comic The Walking Dead (not to be confused with the show!). We break open the core game and run through the basic mission at 100pts, with myself taking command of Rick and Caurrlllll and Jay playing the Scavengers Derek, Sandra and Patrick!

When a walker starts its move already in contact with scenery, it will move around the secenery (Page 19 of the rulebook). And three walkers produce six red dice in melee. One for the first two for the second, ...

overrun rule. 1 zombie 1 dice. 2 zombies 3 dice. 3 zombies 5 dice. then ten and 15. the max is 5 zombies on one guy.
Hey I think that when Zombies bumped into a structure (car, bench, anything) the first time they stop but the next time they move they can circle it. Check it!
When it was on KS, I thought that the game didn't have nearly enough zombie minis in it. Then my copy arrived and what I learned very quickly is that you really don't want more than about 8 on the table at a time unless you want your survivors to be deader than A-line flares with pockets in the knees. Silencers and (Cross)bows are your friend!
Jay is easily the most hilarious opponent you play against! "Hacksaw Jim Duggan' it!"

That was extremely fun to watch. Makes me seriously consider purchasing the game. My only drawback in this is that I have absolutely no modern era terrain. But the small board makes me think I might be able to make enough.
Also if zombies pile up with more they roll alot more dice. 3 Zombies attacking one surviver roll 6 red dice. 1 zombie 1 dice , 2 zombies are 3 dice, 3 zombies are 6 dice and so on.
I was going to point same thing. He should be attacked with 6 dice not 3.

you always add 1+2+3+4+5 depending on ho many there are. 1 = 1 2 = 1+2 3= 1+2+3
The Walking dead!! I have been waiting for this in a year now, good to see a game, and good to see Jay again, it always fun when you two are together. A few mistakes, but we are getting used to that in lets play, cant wait for the next game.
I come here for the let's plays, but stay for the obscure references. Great video guys!
I didn't think much of it when I saw the KickStarter, but this one actually looks like a lot of fun, especially with the Threat Dial system!

I have really been enjoying this game. What scale (and/or brand) are those die-cast cars and bus? I have the plastic cars from Mantic but some more variance would be cool.

Ah cool i just finished painting all of the base game expansions and boosters :D even the latest expansion is painted. Only the KS exclusifes from the newest exp i dont have yet.

oke an other faulth :D if a zombie already bumped into a car or other scenery, next time he would have to walk he does move around the card or obstical for its full 6 inches.
