Managed to do it without any major issues. My only issue was a clip coming off the right circuit board but the replacement was 6£ so I’ll call that a win 😊

So if I wanted to change out my back plate and front plate I would need to have oem parts?
For the backplate I dont think so. Its just a touchpad. The front plate however is glued together with the screen and frame as a one unit so I am not sure. But if you want to keep the beautiful OLED display I would advise to buy OEM parts.

Yes it is the original screen. No difference.

Yea but remember this was back in 2012 so like the first generations of oled displays and it was a very brave step from Sony to put oled on a Vita. Not many devices could flex a display like that 10 years ago!
