Joying 8.8" Android Screen is a perfect sized single-din for Honda S2000 no cutting necessary and the result is awesome! Link to Joying 8.8" Android Screen: amzn.to/3ia1SGb
@@allthingsmotored would you mind posting the link to that kit please? I just ordered the joying 8.8 and just wanna make sure I have everything else ready when it gets here!
I would have mounted the screen, using the extension cable, somewhere on the dashboard. Extendablity is one of the major features of this Head Unit which I think most people are overlooking.
@@kingkong2598 you have lot of room to work with I see. Definitely more double din are used in 9-5 it seems. Maybe go with something like this one? www.joyingauto.com/joying-8-inch-double-din-touch-screen-car-multiplayer-carplay-android-auto.html
By any chance are you in Cali LA? if so I would like to get this installed in my S. Since I don’t know wnaything about this. Just lmk Howmuch and if your local. Thanks
If you are replacing stock, youd need to get a aftermarket harness so you dont have to cut stock wiring. If you have aftermarket already, you just need to wire them up. Its pretty much color matching, once you connect positive, ground and accessory, rest is very simple. Joying comes with wiring instruction also :)
With carplay, probably not supported. But I believe you can use it directly from the head unit to the device. I'll be trying obd2 with torque next week
You press the volume on the screen and pop up slider comes up :) new video uploading today will show that, also Android auto & Apple carplay connection. So make sure to subscribe!
Just got mine today, Installing tomorrow.
Nice! Let me know if you have any questions :)
@@allthingsmotored was there any wires you spliced and connected?
@@Conquieftador I had to cut existing aftermarket harness on the car side and also black connector off on joying harness
@@allthingsmotored do you have pictures of what to cut and so on to use the cables it came with? Also would any AHD camera work with this?
@@Conquieftador please pm me on Instagram @awdrift123
This is awesome thank you I will be ordering next week
Awesome! I'm sure you'll like it!
I'm ordering this weekend! 👌
Awesome! It is a fairly easy process, as long as your wiring is norm. Let me know if you have any questions during install
Awesome job! Did you fabricate the frame on 7:45? Or can be found easily as a separate purchase?
Yes would love to know !
It is a trim plate that I had from previous installs, a piece from "single din universal multi kit". They are pretty cheap for the whole kit :)

that is very good point! Technically it can be mounted anywhere :)

네 맞습니다 ㅎㅎ
Nice video!! Are you able to use the Factory button to control your colume?
It does have that option within the head unit. But I use my apple watch for control ;)
Hey bro im thinking to install this on my 2003 saab 9-5. Would it be funny and ugly if I install this single din head unit on my car?
I'm not quite sure how it would look but I'd say it's a great addition to any car! :)
They also make many different sizes
@@allthingsmotored cuz if you google 2003 saab 9-5, you will be able to see what I'm asking you....

@@allthingsmotored I’ll just wait till I find someone to do it for me. Thanks I appreciate the reply 🙏🏼
How much modifying did you have to do to the wires? looks like a doable install but I am just terrible when it comes to electrical work

@@allthingsmotored oh okok
Wiring harness? Did you wire it yourself or did you buy a harness kit?
I had wired them myself, harness included and original Sony harness had different connectors as shown in video
All I ever want to know is if Hondata is useable with Apple carplay and no one ever knows
With carplay, probably not supported. But I believe you can use it directly from the head unit to the device. I'll be trying obd2 with torque next week
were you able to get the steering wheel controls to work?
Maybe if I happen to take it apart. But honestly I rather hear the car more ;)
How is it with the top down under the sun ? ! Looks clean !
I have not tried since it's been raining and have not removed the hardtop yet. But soon!
Do you have the sku/model number? I only see a universal one on joying site. Thanks
It is a universal 8.8 inch :) google "JOYING 8.8" Android 10 Single Din Car Stereo with Android Auto Car Play 5G WIFI" and you'll find them
It is akward to watch how you throw all the stuff you hold in your hands…😂
LoL thank you 🤣
Where do we get the frame to mount it better?
How do you raise/lower volume.
Is there buttons or it’s on screen?

it is running android :)
@@allthingsmotored yea but android auto is like Apple car play
