Earl is an example of a quote I once heard. 'Not every man behind bars is a monster, not every man who walks free is a saint.'
Didnât he get into that situation for killing someone so idk if he is really that good in the first place
I see you comment a lot. Why don't you post videos

Should have told him to go to Canada.

Anybody else find themselves rooting for literally anybody trying to escape prison ?
A little⊠but then I remember what they did to get sent there.
I do, they deserve to stay in prison for life but never put to death
I mean for me it's hard to not root for the under dog fighting a almost unwinnable fight
@@blu3fire105 so if 7 murders isn't enough, how many until you think it's time to remove the perpetrator? How many innocents are you happy to sacrifice for your principal?
It depends on the person. That one autistic man, definitely. He didnât deserve to get life just for stealing tools and his body definitely doesnât deserve to be dissected in an anatomy class after he dies (this is what happens to unclaimed prisonersâ bodies).
Earl Clenton Made me feel a bit happier when he saved the woman
It sounded like a scene from a TV show to me.

Prison break is obviously inspired by this. The fictional escapees are even named "fox river eight" after the six here.
man I love this entire channel, the topics interest me, the narrator doesn't annoy me, the artwork is nice and simple, the thumbnails are very well done
Facts!!
This is literally one of my favorite informative channels especially when it comes to war stories

This was a scary, nightmare-ish video.
The dad part was truly a heartwarming clutch for my sanity and that police woman he should've been free from there
Not free, but not on death row. I believe he should only have a life sentence.
Free cause of one act of kindness umm no that's insane payment most be made
We don't know what else he's done, so I very much doubt he should have been set free, but maybe a plea to be in prison for life.
I was thinking reducing his sentence to life.
He literally killed someone itâs a good thing he defended the female officer but heâs also murdered someone
Major respect for keeping the woman safe. Not sure about everything else.
some people are actually saying the mother the guy called was a "horrible mother"... for stopping a murdurer escape and possibly keep murdering. I hope they were joking, if not they're all idiots.
Same here
@@sharkbait1389 why, who sends their child back to death row, also they were going to Canada so they were just looking to not die, still would probably get life though
i dont know what you all believe in but i believe in Jesus Christ, you may believe in Him as well, if you do, i hope you are where you need to be with Him, if you arent i hope you will accept him into your life, you may know the the story already, but He willingly died for everybody, and that includes you, if you are wondering if something is sinful look up Scripture about it online (i recommend the King James Version), i hope you read The Bible, and find a good church, ill leave you with some Scripture, Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
@@sharkbait1389 as a mother, they were indeed horrible, as a person? that may be different
This is more thrilling than most movies.
Your consistency and quality of content never disappoints! â€ïž
They are the best! I love watching these informative videos and huge ty to all who help the channel!
ikr, i dont know how the animations are so good
They got some facts wrong. The escape year was 1984. Warrenton is in North Carolina, not Virginia. The other inmate in Vermont was in the woods not the truck, and was five miles south of the border. They said Tuggle was the only one to not get the electric chair, but that isnât true. The previous inmate executed, one who masterminded it but didnât escape was given a lethal injection. He also had a homemade gun in his cell that was hidden and found by his lawyer.

It should be 1000 miles
Yeah I would have done ANYTHING to get in into Canada. What a wuss!

My friendâs brother got shot in the head.
He survived but the guy that shot him was sentenced to 11 years in prison. But, 2 years after his release he died of a heart attack
Okay?
I love when you guys upload about prison escape attempts, we need more!!!
Linwood is from Richmond VA like me him and his brother and an accomplice went on a killing spree. My granny said they were some bad behind kids and people. They used to terrorize everyone in the Southside of Richmond. When they were caught there was literally a sigh of relief.
I thought for a second that you also killed someoneđđ
â@@Sandwich2. fr, really shows how important grammar is
It's mind-blowing how freedom limitations can boost people's creativity. During my mandatory military service I remember what ideas we'd come up with to get a day or two outside the base or sneak in civilian cloths, food and alcohol. I'm definitely lacking that creativity now in my programmer career (I'm a flutter dev as u might have guessed đ)
"flutter"?
Yes! Another video! Ty guys so much for all your work that we all know isn't easy. Ty ty ty
I always find myself rooting for the people escaping prison and to get away, but then remember they're criminals. I guess I like The Shawshank Redemption movie too much. Great video!
that's fair because Andy was innocent
A criminal can be a good person also those six people that Linwood killed couldâve deserved it
that's fair because USA has capital punishment

Have not watched the episode (don't know if I'll have time, but trust me the topic is interesting and I'm sure you've covered it well), but popping on to give your thumbnail artist some kudos. I see a LOT of layers of color to give their subject some really intense lighting, and I know that can't have been an easy-peasy task. Great job!
Why were the guards not allowed to carry any weapons besides nightsticks?
because of the risk of inmates grabbing their weapon. If an inmate grab a gun, he can do a lot more damage than with a stick
All I can think about is âPrison Breakâ love that show
Amazing content and awesome work
Earl Clanton 100% saved Officer Caroline's life.
They had no interest in killing her they just wanted to escape
They would not have killed her, you can believe that. If anything she would have the been the only guard TO be alive
@@superbuu122 maybe they wouldn't have killed but they would've done worse things undoubtedly based on the video.
@@fiyahquacker2835 absolutely, but death was not on their minds lol. You can be assured of that.

Honestly this narrator is my absolute favorite!
you would think a prison that holds highly dangerous criminals would have better security checks and better guards.
If only schools would show this
Itâs really interesting and informative
Thanks! Now I finally know how to escape the prison in The Escapists!!!

This would be a great idea for a movie
Nice video keep going you're going very far in your career take your videos of very good
Am i the only one who Rooted for clanton for defending the guard
Now I wonder how many of those guys were innocent and wrongfully accused of the crimes

Gotta love a story with a happy ending :)
This would be such a good movie if made right.
If it isnât the consequences to their actions
then its the actions which lead to the consequence
Thanks I will use this đ

I was rooting for them then I remembered they were criminals đ
Same đ
News flash! Any plan to escape death row is completely sane.
Hi I love your videos
This vid was different idk why but it is more weird but I like it so thanks for the vid
Gotta say that if they had GPS at the time those 2 would of walked over the border. Less than 10 miles to live? People have gone through deserts to escape and live. What's 10 miles right
Earl clenton should have been spared for saving the woman. He did murders yes but he could have been given life imprisonment instead of death
This would be a great movie
Note to self: Never commit a crime
Best plan to get out death row:make a time machin go back to past and don't do the thing that got you there in the first place
This was an interesting story, they would've never gotten away if they had the technology we have today
what's crazy to me is the guards weren't allowed firearms (nothing good from that i 100% blame the government)
My grandpa used to be a guard and itâs crazy how they beat them up
That is crazy, 10 more miles and they would have lived out their days in a Canadian prison or been extradited back to the US sans a death sentence
When you give someone electric chair but they begin to moan and ask for more:
đ
Bro what?
@@pythondrink dark humor go get some. Life can get super depressing so it's best to find the smallest piece of humor in any situation if possible to keep some semblance of sanity.
I remember this escape and kept things locked up tight as I wasn't that far from Warrington, Virginia.
That's cool but why would u go to somewhere where they know family lives I feel like that's the worst spot to go
Ohhhh I'm early early I see. đŻ
I feel terrible for rooting for the inmates
Best I felt in a while lol
Why did one of them get killed with lethal ingection and the rest didn't
The electric chair was solely used until 1994, when legislation was enacted giving inmates the choice of lethal injection or the electric chair, with lethal injection the default method if no decision was made. And that guy wasn't put to death until 1996... So he could choose and he either picked injection or wouldn't choose so then he automatically got injection. The others were either up before 1994 or that's the way they chose to go. My guess is they were before 1994 but idk.
You should do an episode on the 1995 Tokyo Sarin Attacks
1:20 lovin that pink bat đ
Did anything interesting happen with Earl Clanton? The prisoner who "protected" the female guard at 7:25 ?
Thanks!
Nothing really he was executed just like the rest
I didnât know you could escape that
They have nothing else to lose lol
Most interesting story yet
Very cool video
6:50 to 7:58/8:03 Coraleen Epps was lucky that Earl Clanton was a death row inmate who was actually a father. As for Earl, I guess he had enough time to reflect his life choices and tried to make at least one good choice. Maybe he did it as one last hoorah before he was executed.
10 miles (needed to google-convert it, I'm not an American) from the Canadian border, which means survival, although still imprisonment? Even dehydrated, couldn't he have found any water? Still, I can't imagine that, walk 17 km on foot while hungry and dehydrated, or die by execution...
I wouldve walked it , I'm sure I might come across water or somewhere to steal some food
They deserve a pardon for that. Lol
i feel like its so odd knowing like these people probably all agreed to escape because whether they get caught or just stay back theyll die either way so its worth a shot
You got the escape year wrong. It was 1984. The day and month are correct. Otherwise great video
That is the dumbest prison I've ever heard of.
the fact they are not allowed fire arms in this situation is honestly stupidly crazy
in prison inmates can grab the gun and cause much more harm then nightsticks
To be honest i would actually have liked for them to escape to Canada and just serve the time there
They were murders mate
@@andreilyas1426 yh and some countries don't have the death penalty
@@pythondrink not fair on the tax payers of another country to waste money on people like that.
What happened to the man that stood up for the female officer??
He did not stand up for a random female officer, he was the father of her daughters. I believe he was executed too.
@@andreilyas1426 oh I thought he was a father to separate kids my mistake.
@@andreilyas1426 where did you hear that? just wondering if I missed something because I thought he said "I'm a father too and I wouldn't want anything to happen to my daughter"
I remember watching documentaries about this since I was a kidâŠâŠ
I thought prisons had gun galleryâs for this exact reason. Raised, caged off sections, accessible from a different part of the prison, for officers with firearms to keep prisoners at the end of a gun barrel, but for the prisoners to be unable to get the gun itself.
Open question: If you escape prison, is it better to head for a big city or a wilderness area?
Most likely a wilderness area mainly because in the wilderness thereâs nothing but animals trees and ocean and if youâre near a forest thereâs lots of places to hide
Wilderness because in big cities it's easier to find you. A small town would even be better
I feel like I want the guards to win but it seems like a movie so prisoners only in the case it seems like a movie
But I forgot the popcorn
Could you do a video about the Australian war against emus
So if there all on death row why is it still called a correctional center?
sounds.... correct,
plus theyve already made up their mind to call it that, too late to correct it now, but your right,
oh and regular prisons
should be called a correction pen centre
get it? pen, penitentiary and correction
I like what Earl Clanton did for that female officer, though he did a horrible thing, I wish he got some sort of reward for it
I am not justifying the wrongdoings of earl clanton, but he is a hero for međ€
Imagine his victim's family reading your comment?!? đ±
