Can You Beat Risk Of Rain 2 Without Opening Any Chests?

First off, massive props to my friend for hooking me up with todays thumbnail. The mad lad always comes through with banger thumbnails but this has got to be my favorite one by FAR that he has done for me. This is the first NON FALLOUT challenge run on the channel lads! Risk of rain 2 is by far one of my favorite games ever and I wanted to do a run on it but struggled to think of anything creative until one of my friends made it to the end boss with like, 8 items and barely opening chests. So, I took the idea and ran with it. This run was insanely fun and I am looking forward to doing more non fallout related content in the future. I hope you guys enjoy!

I've actually done it on drizzle with no items and equipment twice now with Acrid and then Loader. Both of them have good basic movement and have enough damage.
The hardest part I've found during most of my attempts is actually stage 2 of Mythrix, which is usually his easiest part on normal runs. The Chimera wisps just have so much health relative to your basic damage and are hard to avoid for survivors with no movement skills.

Yeah I’m usually a monsoon only player so the idea of doing itemless runs has never ever everrrr been a thought for me, I figured it seemed interesting to not completely take away all my items but limit them to being from such rare sources that I’m practically empty on gear. It was definitely a fun run, I would love to do another ror2 video in the future.

I feel like items in general should not be allowed. Since you could just do Artifact of Sacrifice, which makes enemies drop items on death and removes every chest type except the Hidden Golden Chest.
Just a suggestion though.

I didn’t use artifacts so that wouldn’t be relevant. Chests are prob 90% of your items in a run and I figured removing your key source of gear made for an interesting run

@dierebos not saying you did use artifacts, im saying the no chest run couldve been easily done with AoS (personally one of my favorite artifacts along with command, usually run both at once)

@@endorneyodera4366 used to do stupid OP runs using sacrifice and command and going to the void fields, I’d run engineer with a few bungus to out heal the tick damage and me and my friends would sit there for like an hour stacking hundreds of items. It was awesome.
