I have a question for you. We went to AutoZone and got the fuse that we thought would work and put it in. Then the wipers went back to what they were doing going constantly. So we returned it and put the extra fuse back where it was. Then ordered one online and put it in. It did exactly the same thing. So we have to keep them switched. Does the other fuse on the left actually do anything?
I cannot start my 06 sxt put a battery on it yesterday and the wipers and horn started immediately didn’t even turn the key any help would be helpful also the van has been sitting all winter covered in snow it was 100% fine in September
Omg why didn’t I think of you tube the other day. My wipers kept going while I worked from 8-1:30pm then as I was going to the service station to have them look, I pulled over he side of the road for 15 minutes then it eventually stopped but in the middle of my winshield. Lol 😂 then when I tried using it it stopped.. thank God I didn’t even need to go to the station it stopped on it’s own..
But wait so today after work wiper wouldn’t stop again and I decided to CZcams it and it went straight to you. You were moving a lot but I managed to pull out the pink you pointed out and it finally stopped. That was so awesome. Thank you so much I was so proud of myself lol . Anyhow, what do I need to buy? I saw that you switched the 2 black ones called relay? That way I can go and replace it. I hope you get this message as this vid has been few years back. On my van it was the black one… If you go to a part store and tell them you need a windshield wiper relay they will get you one and they are fairly cheap.
you just swap the new one in for the old one

Mine just started that today when a shut my hood after checking the brake fluid... Key was off, at the gas pump, and I decided to check the brake fluid after my brake light on the dash suddenly came on.

I've had trouble with the IPM itself. I took it apart and several copper pins were corroded beyond repair. I pulled 3 IPMs from the junkyard and two of the three had a lot of corrosion as well.
That’s why I always say about Rust coating saves.

Thank you It did help! I drive for Lyft and Uber and its 3:30am. But that would have ran my battery down if I couldn't shut it off when I quit for the night. After only 1 ride.

omg well to day my 08 caravan, came on by its self, horn blared, windshield wipers were wailing, and my windshield washer fluid was flying nonstop.. for 20/30 min. then al of a sudden it just died an d came back on and i had to disconnect the battery. any advise? it was like the movie Christine 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It could actually be a ton of things… Check to see if all those are on the same really… It should say in your owners manual. You could have a bad relay. If that doesn’t work try moving your steering wheel and see if it’ll make it stop
Sometimes it’s the wiring in your column
These are just guesses since I’m not there to look at the van but I would check the relay out for sure
This exactly happened on my 12 caravan what did you do to fix it?
What if the relay right behind it is for the fuel pump?
If you Switch the relays and your car won’t start find another relay that is the same and switch it there.

2007 Dodge Caravan. Replaced both relays and replaced the multi function switch on the steering column, wipers still do not turn off. What next?
Did you pull the relay and the wipers for shut off?
Pulling either of the two relays or the fuse cause the wipers to shut off. That is how I turn them off and on at the minute. Replaced the relays and I've even replaced the multi function switch on the steering column wipers still stay on even without the key in the ignition. I think it is the park switch inside the wiper motor. Next job, replace the wiper motor as the park switch is part of the motor. @@ghettovanadventures
What about blinkers not working
I worked on one years ago and it ended up being the little wires on the edge of the battery terminals… They were severely corroded so check your battery terminals and the wires coming off them and see if there is corrosion. You might have to clean them up
Help the wipers are possessed...then they go out by themselves. Can't find the fuse or the problem. Ugh

Same exact problem on my grand caravan 2005. The video was good to let me know where the fuse was… But the word “relay“ was not specific in its location because of the way the camera was wiggling around. So onward to another video, that actually took the time to make sure “relay“ and “fuse“ or differentiated rather than just some banter. I’m a girl I have no idea what the word rely means and I don’t even know what the second switch it was because when you pointed to it and said “SEE?” no I did not see… you didn’t show it. So we’re all left guessing. Thanks for your try.
