    I love when she teaches. She is easy to follow, and her jokes are super cute.

    So happy to have discovered this very helpful tutorial. What fantastic folks you are! I'm about to do a quilt which only has lettering (23 Psalm for my brother who just lost use of his legs). This is the exact information I needed for the fusible web and raw-edge applique technique. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    It is incredible to get all this helpful information at once! I'm finaly at a point where changing the needle or doing anything other than the default stitch isn't intimidating because I want to do other things.

    Love this method. Your teaching technique is spot on! As I worked along with your book, you address all the questions that I have. Your you tube video is excellent companion to your book. Thank you!

    I think I'll use the raw edge stitching for my gnome pillow project. I think a little fraying will look cute.

    Thank you but I would have loved to have seen how you actually go around the umbrella not a heart....the umbrella looks harder and a few pointers as to how to accomplish the task would have been more of a benefit to me.

    How to bury the threads into the batting? What do the numbers in the guide mean?

  • @TheWonderPieceCollection

    Lovely video. I am just curious why you do not use cotton or rayon thread to stitch around the design, instead of nylon.

    • @FatQuarterShopTX
      @FatQuarterShopTX  Před 3 lety

      Hello The WonderPiece Collection! You can use any thread you want to sew around the applique. Most of the time nylon is invisible and you can not see the stitches. It just depends on the look you want.

    I noticed most people use zig zag to applique but I thought it was done in satin stitch over cast.

    if you are doing applique, think about whether of not the item is machine washable. usually quilts are not washed in a machine, but machine washable applique should be very well attached. i suspect that this method is not for machine washable quilts.
