In my opinion, gta 3 was the most disturbing gta game for me. It was brutal and that game definitely did not have only a few controversies like it was said in the video, there was a lot of references to terrorism in the game, and even some cut content that was too relevant at the time (if you know, you know.) Dont know if it makes it controversial but gta 3 was definitely brutal

GTA San Andreas’s Big Controversy Wasn’t burning a weed farm and going after cops, but instead somebody who modded the game to look inside CJ’s girlfriend’s house after she invited you in for hot coffee, which was never something the developers never intended the player to see

GTA V might have dealt with a lot of controversy during the early years but as time went by it got censored a lot like covering the confederate flag, removal of gay or trans people (I don't remember very well) near the Burger Shot, that dude from GTA IV who used the n word a lot but in GTA Online he toned his humor down. Some video I watched says that censorship is the biggest worry for GTA VI which is gonna take away the feeling of what a GTA game is all about in the first place
They only got rid of the Confederate flag because the games wouldn't be able to be streamed, as depictions of it are banned on lots of streaming platforms. Phil Cassidy's new shirt doesn't make sense, because they replaced his flag in his trailer with an American one, so his shirt should've looked the same. You mean Yusuf! He said the N-word in The Ballad of Gay Tony a lot. But I think after years in America, he learned he shouldn't be saying it and matured with age. Judging by GTA 6's trailer, I personally don't think censorship will be a problem. The humor will probably be top-notch and lifelike because it's gonna be in Florida.

Rockstar took their shot at Jack Thompson with the mission "Final Interview" where lawyer Tom Goldberg uses his infamous "Guns don't kill people, video games do."

One the first part, now I understand why Rockstar was insulting Australia in the game
And from what I heard, Tom Goldberg (the guy in the interview mission of GTA IV) is based of a real life lawyer named Jack Thompson who was been suing Rockstar about GTA and other violent games they made, Rockstar decided to make fun of him in GTA IV by adding a reference about his line if you pull out a gun in front of Tom Goldberg, they mocked him again in GTA Chinatown Wars on a generic spam mail you'll randomly get during free roam.
6:45 I heard that the mission was actually based of a real life event of innocent tourist who came to America and was detained by the feds who they were misunderstanding him over his last name I think, and Steve is also based of another guy with a familiar name who was involved the torture
Driving drunk in GTA IV was actually harder then the "drunk driving simulator" this advocacy group brought to my college one time. In their "simulator" I just went kinda slow and wobbled in my lane a bit, in GTA IV I ended up with my car upside down, on fire, and surrounded by police!

Gta 3 had body dismemberment and 9/11 references that had to be unreleased. Gta Vice City had the cubans / haitians gangs associated with real life.

All they had to do for Vice City was name the gangs. That way they'd curse each other by the gang name in the way the Families have derogatory names for the Ballas, and vice versa. Doesn't bother me there's no commands for San Andreas' hot coffee, because Saints Row 2 has a minigame like that, and it's pretty demanding. Don't know if it's easier on PC, but your joysticks will otherwise be worn out before you know it. Ah, good ol' MADD targeting a video game instead of all the other medium out there that promotes alcoholism. I'm surprised they don't target commercials for alcoholic beverages. Some of those ads make it look so glamorous. I hated the effect of it, though. I usually take a cab unless I'm driving a car that I own. And GTA V's torture scene is just a grim look at the atrocities that our country commits, especially during wartime. I didn't enjoy it at all, but one good thing Trevor done was disobey Steve and help Mr. K escape.

I stil can't get how people could be mad at a game that depicts some stuff... Why they don't get mad at Call of Duty‚ Battlefield‚ Fortnite‚ Minecraft and so on?! Also‚ GTA was never intended for kids‚ even though I have played GTA as a kid (and I am no criminal) and other kids have played and present kids play GTA‚ this franchise was never intended for kids. So, a 16+ human should be mature enough to understand every "controversial" depiction from those games (including "extreme" violence) ‚ and mature enough to understand that some of those things aren't ok to do in real life.
Also‚ how did people came to the conclusion that GTA V's depiction of women is misogynistic?! It was a perfect depiction of population from around 2010-2013. Like GTA IV was a perfect depiction of population from around 2005 - 2008.
I can't wait to see what "controversial" stuff people will find with GTA VI.
