Imagine being a swat unit hunting down this ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ maniac, and you just see him run up to a tourist telescope, drop one dolar in. Your squad holds fire. He looks at the sea, just observing. Somebody in your quad gets impatient and yells at him. He sheds a tear, and as he looks away from the eyepiece, your squad turns him into a Swiss cheese

I’ve heard it a million times but cops yelling “I kill for a living!!” is still one of the funniest police lines in that game

Additional fun fact about the restricted air space above the golf course: Way back in the day when the game first came out, you wouldn't just get a wanted level for flying above it, but you would actually be shot down just like at the military base. They must have a top secret lab under the golf course or something lmao
It's an interesting touch too because real golf courses actually do have a low restricted airspace, if you've ever seen how high a golfball can be hit with a decent driver, they can do some damage.
Edit: now I couldn't find any info to back this up but I'll add it anyways, my uncle overheard this and mentioned that he once heard the Goodyear blimp got a window busted out by a ball when flying over a golf course lol
I do wish rockstar had changed the line to remove to "you will be shot down" and replaced it with something like "we will contact the authorities" cause ya know it's a civilian area
@@Dovah_Slayerthe most realistic thing would be for a different person (an atc operator) to say “fly out of the airspace now, and then ask you to call a number once your out tbh. Basically how that goes. That number you call is normally people that you explain your situation to and then get your license removed or smthn

The fact that the mission fails if you quickly pull out your phone as if pulling out a weapon is so, weirdly realistic, and such a small detail, and it makes me warm knowing that its a feature

If youre holding someone who has proven themselves to be a threat to you at gun point and they suddenly go to rip something from their waistband; you're capping them, period
Always pissed me off that you can't hide behind walls and get away from them really hope gta6 has better stealth

The main thing that bothers me is you can remain out of view for a good while and hide behind a building nowhere near where you were last spotted, and they will *always* get out of their cars and run directly to where you are, but if you so much as drive a few meters into a small train tunnel despite having been seen literally enter it, they will have absolutely no clue where you went and eventually give up the chase.
“Of course you don’t get a wanted level for burning up a civilian” is a wild statement 😂

That's because (probably) police forces will need a body of a dead cop for some recognition and investigation, and you just ruined it by your VERY HOT and dangerous fun with burned petrol/gasoline/fuel
To me the cops in GTA V were always broken. Jesus accuracy, perfect tailgating, flying helicopters between tall and cluttered buildings like it's nothing and constantly spawning infront of your face
Watching real police chases in California(that seem to easily last several hours) with no casualties really make them seem poorly programmed. But then again cops caring about Public safety makes for a less fun game
and they always know where you are, they just pretend like they don't

Back in the older GTA versions, not the REALLY old top down versions, but the 3D ones, going to your safe house was a key way of getting rid of police. Saving (or in this case sleeping) was well known to people who played all the old GTA's prior to GTA V. If you only started playing in GTA V, it's understandable you might not know of this previously key mechanic, as it's less important now.
You didn't lose your wanted level by saving in GTA Vice City.

My biggest complaint with the cops in GTA V is how they get applied to the player. It feels less like "I got caught doing something wrong" and more like "I reached my crime threshold and the game is gonna spawn cops any second now". GTA IV while excessive at times really managed to feel more "realistic" or at least believable. It feels like cops are never patrolling in GTA V and their interactions with NPCs are extremely limited compared to IV. Like a lot of features it just feels like a worse and more forgiving version of what we already had in IV.
In gta 4 you could actually go to the police when in a fight and they would arrest the person assaulting Niko lol.

The GTA IV cops have entertaining dialogue and you actually see them out and about doing their own thing when they aren't chasing you. (Also, there's no cap on the wanted level you can clear by saving.)
In GTA Online, my favorite spot to make a "last stand" is at the bottom of the stairs at the subway entrance in Little Seoul. The cops can't get to you unless they go down the stairs, and they can't shoot while doing that. It's the perfect place to funnel them in and take them out. If you want to escape, just head further into the tunnels.
Another subway enthusiast?? Hell yeah!
i usually go for the tunnel that Micheal uses to escape during the jewelry heist that gets Trevor onto him. put a car with a good trunk on the corner, take cover, and most of the shots they take can't reach you.
In single player I done last stands on the roof of the hospital with the helipads, on the train, in the control tower of Trevor's airfield, at the airport (in a tank), at humane labs (also in a tank), and in 3 locations where you can glitch inside structures.
i thought everyone knew abut escaping the cops in the tunnels

I always thought it was implied that they were alerted because Michael had set it up with Dave

@@rtasvaNope, the Police Department wasn't involved with the plan. Michael, Brad, and Trevor were supposed to get to the escape area undetected, and Dave would then kill Trevor and Brad. If anything, the Police Department was an active hindrance to their plan, as it posed a great risk to Michael's safety.
To me it seems more like michael thought the guy was trying to press the button (when probably he already did) and then said dont even think about it
I think the cops that chase Trevor when you load in as him aren't armed so the player isn't shot up before they can escape them. R* presumes that you would just drive away from them and easily lose the wanted level.

Cops don't shoot from cars though unless they are shot at. Seems more like they just forgot to give them weapons somehow.
The cops in that loading screen are simply chads who refuse to do anything else other than beat the shit out of trevor with their bare hands lol

11:16 is a very good feature, I’ve been using it for years in Gta Online, so everytime I do heists or missions there I get high wanted level I always going to a bush and sprint in it for a few times to make sure the cops don’t recognize my vehicle to make the process slightly easier for me 😉
… I really need to start using this feature more often.
You can also instantly wipe your wanted level by entering the interior of an MOC, Avenger or Terrorbyte, that you can call in wherever you are. Super useful.
I love how the police choppers spawn in right in front of you 0.00004 seconds before you lose wanted

she’s not a maid lol she’s martin madrazos wife! ig she’s a housewife so sort of functionally a maid.. but yeah that mission is golden. when he reveals to michael what he did is one of the funniest parts, and when trevor has to return patricia to her home it’s honestly kind of heart-wrenching. patricia medrazo is def my fav side character next to lamar:)

14:37 You can also "play with the cops" if Trevor has taken over the Vanilla Unicorn, but the next planned heist hasn't taken place yet. Basically with all three characters, even with a five-star wanted level, all you have to do is walk into the building, take the right past the ATMs and walk over the carpet into the lounge. Loses your stars every time----even if an officer is in there with you shooting at you at the time.
In GTA San Andreas, you can make cops surrender in any fastfood restaurant by holding up the store while wanted, because it triggers the overriding mechanic to make all NPCs inside surrender when you do it.

I have a theory of this 0:41: rockstar north is a somewhat large team. Possibly a developer for the epsilon side mission simply chose to write rating, whereas the other “wanted level” texts were written by other developers. I’ve seen other inconsistencies like this.

As a curiosity the little variety that rockstar has given to the police. There are several police departments LSPD, LSSD, SAPD, SASPR, SASPA, FIB, IAA. Only to be used in story mode or in missions, they will rarely appear on the map. Except for the SASPA that will appear more than three in the prison.
Maybe the rest of these departments were to support an emergency mod like lspdfr since LCPDFR was huge

One of the main things I learned about cops in this game, during missions in or near the city where it’s hard to get away from a certain wanted level, find the train tracks and get to one of the underground tunnels and chill, sometimes they go down there after you but if you kill them a few times they stop going down and cannot find you for some reason lol
I always lose the cops in the train tunnels and the sewage tunnels. Every time my friends and I do the casino heist, we use the sewage tunnels and get away.

Usually the train/trolley tunnels are the ones I go for because I don’t even have to look at the map anymore lol this games been out too long I cannot wait for GTAVI!!! Hopefully it’s a decent one with a strong story and a fun online and I pray that it won’t be ruined on pc right away. I can only play online in private servers and even then it’s dangerous.

Didn't know a couple of these, and I can also add one more, although its for Online - If you go on a crime spree in a special vehicle that loads you into its interior (Avenger, Terrorbyte, etc), while the cops may not be able to hit you, they CAN still bust you if you stand around for a short time inside while not interacting with anything.

The horn when shooting a cop is actually accurate to real life, the ems horn is part of the whelen horn. Most ems vehicles still do have a regular car horn on the wheel
Probably just me, but the fact that the background music is just the same 4 second sound bite from the club penguin soundtrack on repeat was driving me crazy
One of my favorite hiding places during police pursuits is the train tunnel near Franklin's home. The railway is above ground between two double-lane roads, and it dips down underground into a loop that takes you back up. Sitting in either side of the tunnel will prevent police from finding you. Cops will drive around endlessly above you, and they will VERY RARELY approach you on foot (if at all).
11:41 Another neat part of the bush glitch is that you can be invisible to police in a police car. Normally police cars aren't stealth even if cops haven't seen you in that car before.

In the mission at the FIB where you meet Steve for the first time. On the way to Dave’s car if Micheal pulls out a gun and immediately shoots someone Dave will respond “I didn’t see you do that” to which Micheal says “No you didn’t “ and goes on like nothing happened. It only works once tho

Another fun fact, you could obtain the undercover cruiser in single player. It’s very rare, you could only find it while driving around the underpass/train station bordering South LS and Central LS at a specific time. It’s extremely rare to find, but I was able to steal it and put it in my garage.

7:29 I had a problem when i needed to buy a shotgun with flashlight but i had bought it, basically softlocking the mission, dumb me tried to contact rockstar support for help and they of course told me there is nothing i can do about it, which means they don't even know about things that exist in their game
I don't think that what their support system is for 😂 you probably just got the wrong gun that was similar to the one in the mission..I had that happen to me and realized I got the wrong gun when I went back to the gun store

Edit: I know that I play on Xbox 360, but if your gun has attachments and a skin on it, and you get arrested with the gun out, the police will only take the attachments and set the skin back to default factory metal, thus letting you keep the gun. As for weapons that transfer over from GTA Online, I have yet to have one of those taken from me by the police. I'm not sure if that is the case on the next gen consoles and PC, tho.
@@mank11nd Yeah, my bad. I forgot to add that the attachments and skins go first, and then these second time around the police confiscate the gun. But you are correct about the DLC guns.

Hey darkviper that glitch with the police becoming invisible below ground is quite fascinating as in legend of zelda tears of the kingdom a similar thing happens with stuff above the ground transitioning to below ground unless information but found it interesting how they both behave

Hey Matto, I don't know if you went over this or not but if you follow the boat long enough in the father son mission the truck seemingly disappears (may have to use mods to do) and you will have to get the boat to despawn thought this was cool

One thing I have found out and it doesn't get you any stars - down at Chumash Plaza from 7am onwards just show the NPCs your weapon and chase them on to the roadside - some of them make it to the other side, and some - don't. .....it's also one way to cause traffic chaos.
Another fact : If you sit on a bench on the casino balcony the cops won't shoot you, found that myself
