How to install a deck plate hatch on a Pelican Catch 100 kayak

This video will teach you how to install a hatch on a kayak.
I bought this hatch off Amazon. It is waterproof but doesn't come with any hardware. www.amazon.com/dp/B07BWNCTYJ/...
I bought #12 1" machine screws with matching #12 nuts and washers. Make sure you buy Stainless Steel hardware so it won't rust with salt water or with age. I bought my hardware at Home Depot for about $9.

Hey man! I got this exact boat, and used this same process to add a hatch to the back of it. Your video was very helpful. Thank you. Definitely a little nerve racking putting a hole in my boat. Hardest part was getting the washers and nuts on the bolts with so little space, and at an odd angle haha.

This is a 6" hatch. So Six Inches.

You could've just put the hatch on the Kayak and measure than mark it? No need to transfer with paper and all that jazz, just saying.
