Did you do the mod? I got a Garmin UHD Echomap 75sv with the GT54 transducer, it's a bit bigger than the one on this video...tell me how it went for you. Did you buy the same hardware as in the video?

Lol where I mounted mine ….the main reason was I broke one when I had it side mounted and I came up with this idea so I could leave it in one place and not break it!! Lol I have never done a in hull transducer before so I’m not really familiar with how it works but I have several friends who have theirs done in hull and they love it! The fitting is a 1/2 inch sprinkler riser three inches long and I barely enlarged and sanded the hole and used the fitting to thread it. It threads really easily. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!🙏🙏😃👍👊🛶🎣🐟

I've got the same kayak and I'm thinking about using your method. Where did you get the threaded pipe and cap (a part number would be awesome)?

Sku#: 652378 a skew number for Home Depot is the best I could do buddy it’s called a 3 inch riser half inch diameter and they are cheap! Lol

Hi Jay! Great video and exactly what I was looking for. I just picked up a Pelican Catch Mode 110 and I think the transducer install would be just like yours. What did you use for the nut inside the scupper hole to hold the nipple?

I believe it is a plastic nut from a faucet that I installed but you can use pretty much any 1/2 inch nut from Lowe’s or the hardware store.i really like the mode I’ve watched several videos on it and if you haven’t already checked it out Zoffinger has some great videos on it!
