Rick Van Gog max is much to aggressive always has been. Ricardo is a much better driver over a season. If max can turn the aggression down a little bit he will be amazing.
Nathan Garrett Ofcourse Ricciardo is a better driver atm, he has much more experience. Verstappen wants too much on his plate, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But it causes a lot of problems most of the times. Some things you just have to experience, so you can learn how to do it on the correct way.

Any other top driver would have squeezed Ricciardo off the track, he may not be as good as Hamilton or Vettel but Bottas is a very clean and honorable driver.

Very boring and safe. Good 2nd driver I guess. With a clean and honorable attitude you don't win any championships unless you drive an extremely dominant car.

Connor Smith he could stand to be a bit more agressive for sure, however i like how, unlike the other top drivers, he doesnt risk everything to keep 1 position.
Look at Vettel/Ver; if Vettel left a bit more room like Bottas did then there wouldnt be any contact and he'd only lose 1 position and minimal time. This is not me saying Vettel is to blame because, according to the rules he did nothing wrong, but it is being rude and taking a big big chance on a collision.
Bottas is the perfect 2nd driver as he'll do whatever he can to finish the race and get those points which matter alot in the construction standings at the end.
The thing is, no matter what team you support, you get happy for Daniel. The dude is humble, good guy and respects his opponents. Very fortunate but totally fair how he got this win. Grats to him!

How things have changed in four years.
Daniel looked like an unstoppable force that could battle for a championship with a capable car while
Max looked like a rookie without any racecraft. Now, Max is a world champion and Ricciardo is rumored to retire.
Also, Vettel passed from challenging for the title, to ending in a midfield team and also be rumored to retire.
Leclerc until this point didn't seem to be the wonderkid we saw in F2 in 2017 and now he is challenging for the title.
Drivers retired, others returned and new talents arrived. 2018 feel way older than what should be

Except for some drivers like Magnussen and Alonso. Same story for both. I missed the way he was getting consecutive P7s
on point with everything except that Leclerc didn't seem to be the wonderkid we thought he was, he was amazing in the sauber in 2018 and beat his more experienced teammate, and beat Vettel in 2019,2020 and could've beaten sainz in 2021 if not for all the bad luck and dnfs that he had.

Verstappen is such a dick. I was a fan but his way of constantly pushing other people out threw me off.
He took a wide turn. Had he steered in sooner, while Ricciardo had obviously taken advantage and was already next to him, something similar would have happened to the Vettel-Verstappen incident. The only thing Bottas could've done was hit Ricciardo with the risk of both spinning out and thus both yielding their positions. You ain't that smart, are you?

We need more drivers like Daniel Ricciardo. He’s got to be one of the best on the grid, both in terms of personality and skill, especially when it comes to overtaking. I don’t think anyone in the F1 community dislikes him.

4:53 of course it's not your fault Max; I don't know WTF Seb was thinking by driving on your part of the track, everyone knows you own every inch of the track and they're supposed to get out of your way when they see you coming.
This is pointed out very clearly in section 369 sub-paragraph 16, addendum 98, of the FIA drivers manual - All cars must yield and make sure every inch of the track is free for Max to drive wherever he chooses.

I find it very unfair that a crash that resulted in Vettel finishing 8th, only cost Verstappen 10 seconds. It was clearly a very costly error on Verstappens part trying to overtake with less grip than he anticipated.
O.K. I am a Vettel fan, but having pole position and ending up in position to defend 5th place is a disaster. Also cutting your teammate just for you to have "safe" P1 is a disaster, Kimi would gave him that position later on the race with the team orders. F**king disaster today!

Verstappen is finally begining to show his immaturity. You could see the contrast between him and Ricciardo only moments after Max's crash with Vettel, when Ricciardo pulled off that move on Bottas as well as Max's comment after overtaking a 4 time world champion. Daniel on the other hand drove with a much more calculated approach with a better outcome, future world champion caliber driving from Daniel there.

Redbull would've been extremely bad then. Both Max and Daniel are top drivers none of them would play second fiddle and would end up fighting or crashing into each other leaving Mercedes to take an easy win kinda like Ferrari in 2019.

Verstappen is way too impulsive, has tons to learn from Daniel who is much more levelheaded and still manages to pull of amazing overtakes cleanly. Max is obviously a very fast driver and very exciting to watch but I always get scared watching him attempt a move because 4 out of 5 time he will make contact.

I'm not a big fan of penalties. But that overtake was definitely worth a penalty. But it's Alonso and like most WC's he gets a pass in these situations.
Vettel ran wide and Alonso took the gap, just because Vettel ended off the track it doesn't mean Alonso was wrong. If Vettel didn't lock up slightly he would have had the correct line going into the corner and there wouldn't have been room for Alonso, they're too precious these days with stuff like that.

It’s crazy to see how much Verstappen has improved now. He used to be cocky and over confident, but still a great a driver. Now he has so much discipline from all these mistakes he used to make which is giving him his championships he fully deserves.

Another shoey today! Superb performance by Ricciardo and props to RBR, what a decisive strategy call. They went absolute riots after the SC period! Although Max was a bit clumsy with that move on Vettel. I'm rooting for Seb and that incident totally shatters me, but overall amazing race. Expecting more races like this!
