apparently someone has reported to have had their filters in place and running for 3 years with no issues. ???? i would rather replace on a regular basis than take the risk of adding moisture into my rifle. Therefore, my advice would be to replace the cotton filter if it is damp, as a first step. The clear silica is supposed to change color as an indicator, but sometimes this does not happen, so do not rely on this. Additionally, you might consider replacing the charcoal with more drying beads. Since the primary concern is extracting moisture rather than removing odors, this substitution can be more effective.
How often to you change the Molecular Sieve etc?
