I like Evil of Frankenstein. The hypnosis guy that tries to control the monster was a dramatic part of the film I almost felt bad for the drunk.

I have 4 of the Hammer Frankensteins on a dvd I recorded a few years ago when TCM was showing them
It's pretty sad that a lot of the fans here keep requesting an avgn episode. Yes we all love them, but really, give it a fucking rest. I'm sure if James and Mike were to end the series, it will be uploaded in a video. Stop asking where the next AVGN episode is. It will be uploaded when done. Stop saying "oh well I guess no more avgn episodes" They haven't said anything about it being over. Just enjoy the content they release daily!

A bizarre but true story. I went to school in Canterbury, England and around 1982 on the bus home on gets Peter Cushing. I was a big Star Wars fan and also a fan of Hammer films so I knew who he was. I think it was his daughter waving goodbye at the bus stop. A number of us talked to him, he was very polite. Didnt think to ask for an autograph, wish I had. Will never forget that day.
Young Frankenstein was my favorite one. Lol

As someone who grew up watching the Universal horror movies and simply whatever horror movies were shown on TV, I have probably never seen any of the Hammer horror movies. What would you recommend as a good compilation package of many or at least the core classics of the Hammer Horror movies?
What is the VHS that is third fro the left. I remember seeing it in hollywood video when I was younger but can not remember the name.

I really want to keep up with the current Monster Madness through the website, but for some reason the video player you guys use doesn't like any browser I have (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera). Whenever I try it always says "CANNOT LOAD M3U8 - crossdomain access denied" or "error loading media - file could not be played". Anybody else have this issue?
+Matthew Costa I had some issues, i refreshed and it worked. that video player is way more limited than the youtube one, if you click the bar to go to a scene it reloads everything and it takes some time.
+Matthew Costa I use Firefox and it plays for me. It's just slow as hell. You might have an add-on that's messing with media player or maybe you need to update security settings or plugins or something.
I knew a guy back in high school with the last name of Frankenstein, he was used to the lame joke but they never stopped.

The Warner Bros bluray release of 4 of the Hammer films is worth the purchase and good start for people new to Hammer!

This monster madness has been great. I also enjoyed the Splatter House videos. You guys should check out Decap Attack on Genesis. It's a great Halloween game and has Frankenstein elements to it.

I'm a big fan of 'Must be Destroyed' sad he didn't mention Anna's (Veronica Carlson) character. She was great in the film and the anecdotal history between her and Peter Cushing is interesting

I find it interesting that Frankenstein is considered to be a horror movie and always thought it drew parallels to prejudice & love ie a Romeo and Juliet or Beast and the Beauty, lol. At the same time never was a fan and barely remember the movie now but remember thinking that when I was younger. If the audience knows he's not a threat I don't consider it a horror for some reason, lol.
Loved Frankenstein Created Woman just as much as Curse of Frankenstein.
Frankenstein can't keep a brain on Ice! ....you know what Frankenstein is missing...He's missing Ray! Egon was a genius but he and Ray together could piece together anything. Frankenstein needed a right hand man that was capable had his back and with whom he could count on.
