Would be a lot easier if you didn’t have a husband who wants everything out where he can see it and leaves his projects out so he can get back to it. I am a minimalist and he likes ‘things’. It has been a struggle but we have lasted 41 years with some back and forth.

I know the frustration. I have a suggestion if you okay with it…. Maintain your personal space neat and clean. And his space the way he wants it to be. Maybe one day it’ll encourage him to have some sort of order about his personal space. Instead of cleaning up after him. If that’s something you always do. From personal experience I tried this. It eventually worked!
Oh yes, I keep the public spaces uncluttered and before any company shows up he has to put away anything he has left out. He has every surfaced covered in the downstairs rec room and I try to walk through that with blinders on and nobody is allowed to see down there.
Lots of clear plastic open organising containers might help. That way he can see everything but the clutter is contained and organised.

Growing up in a cluttered home and with an ADHD brain, my home as a adult and my everyday life was a huge mess. On my way from a messy home to a tidy feel-good place for my family, your chanel with videos like this one were my greatest help. They helped me overcome procastination and for the first time in my life my kitchen sink was clean. Do you know how much you changed in my life?!?

2. Clean bathroom daily. Cleaning essentials just within reach.
3. Laundry. Small load daily. Smaller chunks but frequently. A good habit like a morning routine.
4. Spot clean floor.
(Eucalyptus scent or Pine). Spot cleaning daily. Vacuum. ❤️

7. Ten minutes tidy before going to bed. ❤️

This obviously doesn't apply to everyone, but I sweep porch and steps. I tidy the patio, dead-head flowers and water outdoor plants and flowers. Inside I empty wastebaskets daily. Love, loved, love this video! Thank you for the free download and the links all in one place of my other favorite cleaning videos. I love cleaning outside in the courtyard and water the plants probably every other day (it doesn't get that messy so no need to sweep every day) I am so glad you like the printables and that I ma keeping you company while you clean ❤👏💫

I always set my coffee pot night before and pre pack lunches.
I have GOT to get onto pre-packing lunchboxes - it's the biggest thing I dread doing in the mornings - need to research some good things for kids lunchboxes that can be made and packed ahead of time...❤👏💫

I love how you show the different levels in decorating. I just donated my beautiful utopian cushions as they made my bed making process to long and my room messy. No instead of a beautiful bed once a week, l now have a made clean bed daily. I think its very cleaver how you show these levels. I also got rid of all storage containers in the pantry and fridge, as they sat there empty taking up all the space. I just had to admit that l was too lazy to decanter the food into them.l liked the idea of it but had to except that it wasn't for me now that l wor full time. Gonna shine my sink like crazy though that is motivation. Thankyou for another great video

Wow thanks for this! So many young ladies mothers did the work but never taught their daughters how to clean. This is much needed!!
Since the children have left home, my husband has become even messier, if that was possible 8 years ago when the last two left, he said now the house will be cleaner, both children came to me and said their father was totally unaware that he was the one making the mess. He goes to bed so late e.g between 11.30 and 12.30 that there is no way it can be tidied before bed.

I came from a hoarding situation in a beautiful 5bed house in Logan, SE QLD (6000 steps from IKEA on my pedometer 😂) and without the 2 of you, we would never have been able to clear and renovate our home and get the price for it that it deserved.

Great tips. I put the washing machine on before I go to bed as the electricity prices are cheaper after 10pm. Then I hang it out in the morning.
Yes that's a great idea - I used to set mine on a timer so it was ready first thing to hang out too!!!

I’m on the fence about small load laundry daily. It’s not conserving water nor energy.
I’ve never understood why people do small loads daily !!
Growing up in a family of 10, my mom has Mon & Thurs as laundry days. Mon is for clothes/uniforms n stuffs dropped on Fri-Sun. Thurs is for clothes/uniforms n stuffs dropped on Mon- Wed. All clothes are put away, some are even ironed. That’s really for 10 people that has work, school n sports n home clothes, plus towels n bed sheets n blankets, etc.
If you think of wearing something that is alrdy in the laundry basket, my Mom said to look for something else alrdy in your closet/cabinet !!!
There are other chores like cooking n cleaning set in the week - than just doing laundry DAILY ??!!

I do all if these daily. I learned years ago that it is much easier, and more pleasant, to tidy before going to bed and to always throughly clean the kitchen after each use. My house is always company ready and I spend very little time getting it that way. With exception of lamps, I go for the rule of no more than 3 items on tables and surfaces. Makes cleaning much easier. Love your videos!
I love watching your videos, you actually make housework fun!!! I always make our bed either when I get up or before I take my morning shower, I can't sleep in a bed that is not made. On the off chance I forget my husband actually makes it! Now I just need to work on the hot spots - kitchen counters & table and I'll be good to go.

I have some health challenges and nothing worse than having cluttered spaces in the home - on top of clutter on the brain associated with unrelenting bouts of chronic pain. (Any tips - would be a blessing for those of us who suffer! 🤗

I did that the other day after preparing a room for a friend who was a long time kindred friend/guest in my home for a couple weeks in late June / early July !
My only advice would be to keep the things in your home to a manageable minimum then it's quicker and easier to clean, get a cordless lightweight vacuum cleaner and get everyone else in the house to help out and do their part 🙌❤💫

Thanks Annies for another motivational video. A clutter free kitchen bench is my goal this year in my new home. Most days I'm able to achieve this goal other days I do use it as a dumping site. I try to clear it up in the next 24 hours so that it doesn't create a negative tone to the house.
I try to keep my drop zone (dumping area ) to one small basket or a drawer that way it's contained & limited to what can accumulate, and it's easy to clean up and put away when I get a few spare minutes as it's all in one place...also it's easy to have out of site so it doesn't have the visual clutter impact as a messy benchtop does 💫🙌❤
First time watching. It's very inspiring that you're able to maintain the ability to clean everyday. I'm not there yet but hopefully watching your videos will give me the inspiration I need to always keep everything clean.

I’m glad you mentioned your laundry is in the garage. We have a laundry shed which is outside and some days i get to like 11 am before i have a reason to go out there or remember to go out there. it can pile up easily. i need to do at least one load a day and one load of towels every second day with 4 sons in the house and i hate it 😂 if you can just do it when you take the dog out maybe i can too.

Hi Thank you so much for your video. It was fun to watch. The good news is that I grew up with my Great grandma 👵🏼 and she was like a GENERAL 👩🏻✈️jejejejejejejeje. My whole life I went to school 🏫 of Nuns . I learned to iron my uniforms and clothes since I was 8 years old. Cleaning my bedroom since I was 8 years old. Making my bed since I was 5 years old and cooking 👩🏻🍳 since I was 10 years old. I thank my great grandma 👵🏼 for all her teaching and advice. She tough me how to be an independent woman. One more thing, in that time we didn’t have fancy vacuum cleaners, or fancy smelling soups, not even a washing machine jejejejejejejejej.
My great grandma always managed how to do things. Thanks for your tips, good news I already knew that. 🙋🏻♀️ I feel so proud to have had a great grandma 👵🏼 like she was.

It seems that you are working mostly during the day. When you work it’s tough to get all of that done after work.
Love these! Jobs around the house get to be second nature so quickly when you do them regularly. I give my oven a quick wipe down before bed
100% they become second nature - I definitely wipe down my oven after it's used and while it's still warm - makes clean up so much easier!!! ❤👏💫

I know how much my home environment impacts everything in my life from how productive I am, to how I feel and my mood - if things are a mess I just get stressed, snappy and cranky so I have learned it's much better for everyone if the house is kept at a nice standard of clean & tidy and when you do these habits every day - if ot does get a bit messed up it never takes too long to quickly go around and whip it back int shape ❤👏💫

Love the idea of waking up to a clean kitchen. However, my husband gets up and eats every night usually around midnight. Cereal nights aren't too bad, but taco nights suck.
Oh I think I’d be encouraging Hubbie to make a little packed midnight snack box so he leaves no trace of his mess 🌮😭😅 I think this is why I have a dog 😅😉🥰

I am making my bed the minute I get up. I never leave water drips on the faucets. I am picky about laundry. The table is a collection zone right now. Thanks for input.

Washing small loads daily was a such a smart idea so I'm implenting starting this coming week, after I finish with Mount Washmore, as you cleverly called it. Really just want to throw out the dirty laudry instead of washing it. But I guess thats not a viable option. Thanks for the simple but very effective tricks.

I just washed up, cleaned benches and tidied the lounge room. Having a busy CZcams channel is full time work and housework always gets behind. I gave my bathroom a warning too 🤣🤣 That's tomorrow's mission - to get a separate cleaning kit 😉

I always laugh (not always exactly 'laugh' 😜😱) when people watch my videos and either ask if I have a real job...or say.. it's easy to keep your home clean when you just stay at home all day 😂😆 do they think these videos make themselves 😆🤔!!!

Like you, I break up tasks. Also, I do 1 task per room each day after a general tidy. It could be as simple as cleaning and tidying out 1 drawer or washing down the paint work or changing the shower curtain...depending on my energy level.

I have 9 cupboards here but the new house has 26 kitchen cupboards. No excuse of not enough space to put things away.
