Did anyone else notice the audio going silent during the last 4 minutes?
They probably had a copyright problem on CZcams and the sound had to be removed
"I'll only do the interview if I can be filmed in a ball pit"
"Will we ever explain the ball pit?"
"No."
Strange vibes. Maybe needs to listen to Not Like Us.
@27:50 Someone give this guy a hug or something 😂
I grew up in the late 80s and 90s and vhs had a massive impact on my childhood so did collecting movies now on dvd vhs and blu ray and now in 4K
I still collect VHS now and then and aside from having two standard VHS VCR's (one by Emerson and a far better one by JVC with a flying erase head for crisp edits), I found and bought four Super VHS ET VCR's from local thrift stores for $10 to $15 each.
I also have four VHS camcorders and two VHS-C camcorders and in fact, yesterday night, I played the original 'Shaft' movie starring Richard Roundtree via a Panasonic Reporter VHS camcorder connected to an LED TV for some retro fun. :)
I heard the first VHS movie came out in 1976, and DVD was available in 1997. The majority of the VHS market was across the 80's and 90's. My childhood. I'm a Millennial, and we were the VHS generation.
Late Gen X, more like, (born 1975-81).
Be kind and Rewind.
A friend gave me a Panasonic svhs player. Still works fine. Benn transferring stuff I recorded and play prerecorded vhs when I'm in the mood. My 4th player in 20 yrs from a friend or co-worker.
Man, Im a movie collector and purged my VHS collection during a move. Very few survivors. I regret losing some of those tapes.
I didnt like how vhs was mostly in pan and scan and almost all the vcr's had mono sound I got laserdisc as soon as I could then DVD so I could see and hear the hole movie
What year did the "Hole" movie came out?
47:39 tales from the quadead zone is one of the rarest VHS tapes around has its own intro in the style of 2001 a space Odyssey.
great documentary. As a VHS collector from Brazil, I feel like things don't change much here. It's a shame that many horror films weren't even released here!
This was a fantastic documentary about vhs.I reality enjoyed it.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️🙂
5:59 Friday the 13th Friday the 13th part two, Friday the 13th part three, Friday the 13th part four and Friday the 13th part five. I ❤ my VCR.
Look, no graded vhs tapes. Its almost like someone invented the market during Covid to gain a lot of profit after buying a bunch of cheap worthless sealed tapes no one wanted for decades.
Looks like Zack Morris at 16.00
26:45 THINGS THINGS THINGS THING II
15:37 😂
i owned a video store and the internet killed all music video stores
how about a documentry on laserdisc players
Cool👍
40:00 The stories about "girls vs video tapes" are just so... insane. I mean, how stupid a girl must be to leave a guy because she's upset about him collecting VHS? Collecting this stuff is expensive. If a guy gets so many tapes it means he has money. He has a large place to live becuase he needs to keep them somewhere. Form a woman's perspective a VHS collector is a guaranteed provider! And with that kind of attachment - possibly a guaranteed faithful partner! So I'll ask again: how stupid a girl must be to leave a guy because of his VHS collection..?

A. I recognize a guy from best worst movie
B. If they didnt release this on vhs I'm going to be very disappointed
It's too bad that all that is featured here are horror freaks. You know there are others out there who collect other genres.
Old horror tapes are like the equivalent of obscure Psych/Garage Rock records for vinyl collecting or 1920s/30s Blues/hot jazz/hillbilly records to 78rpm collecting.
VHS big con . Tape is rust in simple terms. Rots away. Awful Pan and Scan. Yes I have acouple for the cover / history. Large clam shell of Road Warrior, Taxi Driver, Easy Rider ( First tape I bought for 50.00 in 1980.) VHS was crap then crap now.
Yeah nothing screams p3do more than a grown man in a ball pit, talking about his vhs collection organized by wierd horror genre
