If the minorities gave the soda to police it would have been worse because it would be glossing over the fact that police brutality disproportionately affects minorities. It's like saying "don't worry guys, the police didn't do anything wrong for minorities".
@@BballDudeno clearly Pepsi and Kendall Jenner ended it six years ago. Which was the real problem, super racism has plagued our planet for six years now.
Kendall removes her wig a-la Hannah Montana. I think it’s a sign. I don’t know what the sign means, but it has to have something to do with Hannah Montana.

I somehow walked myself into the middle of a gang war. Bullets whizzed by me as I clenched my 36 pack of Pepsi cola close to my chest. A stray bullet struck the box and burst open 4 cans. Everyone came over to pay respects, I gave everyone a can and we poured some for the fallen... Then we all went out to the strip club and the gangs dissolved and we were all friends. Thanks again, Pepsi cola!
I haven’t watched this ad since 2017 and I’m shocked to say that it’s even MORE insulting and problematic than I remembered. I’m honestly impressed at how much of a trainwreck it is.
I think the meeting probably went something more like this: Executive 1: We need to attract more millennials to our drink. What kind of stuff do kids like these days? Executive 2: Well there seems to be a lot of protests and activism on social media and campuses Executive 1: Perfect! Anything else? Executive 2: The Kardashians
streeTkiDwannaBe garbage for health but not to a dangerous degrees if not overconsumed. And it has great taste. So not entirely garbage. It depends on how you look at it.
The cop is literally just standing there doing his job and all of a sudden because he drinks the pepsi that a celebrity gives him, everything is okay. Who thought of this shit? It's like giving one fat guy a salad and now we've cured obesity.
Feels weird watching this in 2020 when so little has changed regarding police brutality against black people. LOVE that Kendall tossed her wig at a black woman at 4:12 lololol. "Stand back (black?) and hold my wig, girl, I got this."
One of my favorite little details in the original video is that during the "protest" there's a guy holding a sign up in Arabic that's supposed to say "LOVE" ... except the Arabic is written backwards and the characters aren't connected, so it'd be as if somebody was holding a sign up that said " E V O L"
So I've been rewatching Eddy's videos and I just realized that the cellist dude carries his cello into the protest?? I'm in orchestra and even though I'm a violinist I know that that would be super inconvenient and heavy to carry for an entire protest. Like, why? What's the point? Also a musician's instrument is like their child. I don't think I'd ever carry my violin into a protest unless I was playing at it bUT THE MAN NEVER PLAYS HIS CELLO W H Y I'm getting too worked up over this but I am just so baffled
Even my violin case is way too heavy to carry for the entire duration of the protest so idk what that guy’s on. He really wants to break his several thousand dollar instrument I guess
I also love how the protest doesn’t even look modern, like it’s clearly civil rights-esque and I’m so confused. They’re trying to make a statement but they’re too scared to actually do it
I know this video and the kerfuffle surrounding the ad are a year old, but I'm gonna comment this anyway. Should check out the famous Coke commercial from the '70s if you haven't seen/heard of it before. I learned about it in an art history class last semester oddly enough. It was all about diversity and peace, with a super memorable song about everyone sharing Cokes together and getting along. That worked out a lot better than this disgrace from Pepsi. The Coke ad is considered one of the best commercials ever; ask anyone that was around during the '70s and they'll remember it. People won't remember this Pepsi ad for much longer, and if they do, it's just to remember how much of a flop it was.
Not going to lie no matter what situation I'm in that involves a sea of people if Kendall Jenner just parts that sea walks up to me hands me a Pepsi and disappears back into the sea of people I'd be scared but I'd also drink the Pepsi.
The best part is that Pepsi made another ad where they made fun of themselves by showing the directors thought process when making the commercial and it was hilarious, you should see.
omg what about: peeved (&waaay more gorgeous) black woman with afro is who she thoughtlessly throws her nasty blonde wig at..?!
