For that much pay I may be willing to deal with the culture.
I'd consider it, mainly cause fully remote positions and I am looking for some career growth. Probably not a long term thing since the WLB is on the trash side.

I would like to work at Stripe because I like to experience different cultures at different companies. If it doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out. I had a few projects experience where I felt I was being thrown under the bus and I can learn things fast and willing to step out of the comfort zone consistently so I think I will do ok at Stripe.
Stripe seems like the perfect company to try out at least once in your life. Preferably before you turn 35. Move up as high as you can, collect stock grants, and dip.
Not a bad idea, work there before you have other bigger commitments in your life.
These salaries...man. I'm glad I decided to try and get into tech. I'm tired work working my A$$ off for 40 hours a week, no morale at all and a fraction of what these cats are being paid.

How are fintech companies different from normal technology companies? Who pays more tech or fintech? Do MBA/MS in finance grads end up in fintech(engineering background)?
Fintech has a tendency to pay well but that's true for any successful tech company. Fintech companies tend to have more red tape and compliance related activities.

Great video Cody! Based on the research for the salaries in general, can you tell if the salaries for QA Engineers / SDET roles are on the same level as for Software Engineers? In some companies, it seems salaries are pretty even across the board for engineering roles, specifically devs, devops and test
Hey Gregory, I don't feel comfortable commenting on what QA engineers would make at Stripe. I didn't come across any information for that in this video. I would hope they would make similar salaries as the ones referenced but again, can't really vouch for that.

I'm not sure, I'd encourage you to check out their jobs page and see if Bangladesh is an allowed location for remote.
Did the salaries you post include the remote salaries?
These are averages but from what I've seen Stripe seems to pay incredibly well regardless of location (or if you are remote).
Sir my elder brother has recently completed his phd in computer science. After phd how much will expect to earn?
It depends on where they live and where they are working. A PhD generally pays about the same as a bachelors for software engineering.
Can you provide some companies for that "rest and invest" lifestyle?

my dream companies are netflix, linkedin, google, meta, and apple. stripe doesn’t seem too bad. i think if you’re “hungry” to make a name for yourself it might be a good company to work for. i personally would rather work for a company that lets me work at my own pace. the more micromanaging that is being done, the more frustrated i become and it interferes with my performance
That makes sense, micromanagement is the worst.
Cody Engel i’m still in high school so i don’t work in my field yet obviously. worked some fast food jobs and was micromanaged like crazy. i couldn’t imagine it in my desired field. like let me do my job man 😂

@@CodyEngelCodes I interviewed for Asana in my last job search. They were a company with glowing reviews, I couldn't really find any negative opinions about them. My interviewers were very kind and collaborative.
