Colin makes a great point when he said " he thought that the stars/core was a bit too old and the young guys were not quite ready ". This exact point is why I believe that this is Steve Kerr's best coaching job. Especially in the Finals. I also believe that Andrew Wiggins was The X factor in The Finals. His defense was amazing ( I'm certain Draymond and Igoudala is schooling him) and his scoring was always timely.

@@ufd869 you’re totally right. You can’t manufacture culture. Most of the “super teams” have zero culture. Brooklyn is a perfect example. Culture will beat these “super teams” any day of the week. I’d be willing to bet KD never wins another ring. Kyrie only cares about Kyrie and we all know what Ben Simmons is all about. Drafting and developing talent is what it’s all about. It’s why GSW will be a contender for the next several years. They have the big three as well as an up and coming Poole and some really great guys like Kuminga Moody and Wiseman. They’re gonna be a scary team for a while.

@@gregorypew793 that is why no matter what his reason was for leaving, KD i think will look back and wish he hadn't let his ego and the "medias" perception of him effect him to the point where he wanted to leave one of the best cultures and best basketball situations ever. Steph was challenging lebron for the best player in the league, was a UNANIMOUS MVP 2x MVP and everyone knew this was his team and he still was okay playing the robin role so KD could come and be batman and essentially take some of his shine away when Steph was at the top of his game.if KD didnt learn from playing with Westbrook all those years then idk what to tell him. Kyrie a great individual player a great iso player but when has he ever made a team better? Without lebron he has no playoff success. Boston was better before him and after him and was better when he was hurt. If Steph or Steve Kerr cared about stats then Steph would just pick and roll the whole game and have the ball the whole game. Steph could chase stats and personal accolades if he wanted but he could care less. Dude is an all time great Superstar and teammate and Kerr and the culture can flourish because their best player could give a damn about individual success so that lets guys like iggy in his prime, klay, draymond, wiggins, poole etc buy in and bring out the best in them that other teams just cant do. Wiggins turned into one of the best consistent 2 way players these playoffs and i dont think that side of wiggins gets brought out on any other team but the warriors.

One could make the argument that the warriors have their own “Marcus Smart” on their team in Gary Payton II. Same size, same defensive prowess, a lil more athletic and explosive and when they put him on Brown and or Tatum he caused a lot of problems. Makes the right plays and scores efficiently because he doesn’t force his offense. If Smart is a student of the game, would be wise for him to learn from how Gary Payton II plays on the dubs

i'm steph's fan, and for me he got nothing to prove that he is indeed one of the greatest of all time. but i believe that winning this is solidified his greatness in the eyes of entirety of basketball fans. i mean a lot of people are kinda hard to admit it, and i don't know why. and for me the "top 10 greatest" should be change. not the list but the title. because all the player in the top 10 has a great achievement and impact on nba, so it's kinda weird to remove any of them. but curry is without a doubt opening the door of their level. i mean he change the nowadays nba for sure. many people think it's taking a worse turn, many people say otherwise. but the fact that he made all the team are shooting 3s even the center are telling us how great his impact is. well it's kinda not right to change it to "top 11". well we can say that they're called "hall of legends/champions" or whatever it is, so when in the future another player reach their level, they can be put in it without disregarding the one whose already in that list.
and this is the bad things about the nba, one bad performance and people are start to doubt and criticize. just like Tmac said, tatum performance isn't disappointing. it's a known fact celtics did a great job through out the eastern conference playoff, they even do great in game 1 and 3 in the finals. yup they do it inconsistently, but that doesn't mean they are bad, espescially tatum. it's their first finals, ofc it's taking a toll on their performance. just like a lot of past and active player said, it's different atmosphere in the playoff. so i believe, if they stay together and solidified their team in the future, they will be a hard team to defeat.

I'm happy for Andrew Wiggins that man went from being in Cleveland and then getting kicked out because of LeBron then trying to make his way in Minnesota and then from Minnesota to Golden State I'm happy for Wiggins and had Steph not had a good game last night that finals.mvp could have gone to Wiggins because majority of the time when Steph was off the floor Wiggins was putting in the work and poole

I think something that doesn't get mentioned is how much his ego probably was damaged being the no.1 pick and before he even touched the court you had the best player in the league Lebron come out and say i don't want you i cant win with you and you get traded before a single game played. Idc how much of an ego someone has that will effect most people. He was decent in Minnesota but hes not an alpha and didnt care to be "the guy" or want to be a no.1. Golden state fits perfect for his personality and fits perfect for his game. Steph, Steve Kerr and the culture bring out the best in everyone. When your best player is so unselfish and sacrifices personal accolades so that a KD can come and just do his thing and runs around non stop so everyone else can get open shots and easier looks. Draymond is basically the point guard so Steph doesnt nearly touch the ball as much as most superstars. He could easily go for more points and assists if thats what he cared about. When your best player makes it about you and not himself it makes everyone else buy in and want to play like that.

He just fall if the series is too long.

I remember Shaq saying that Tracy McGrady was on the same level as Koby. This was back in the day pre-injury. Shaq was talking about the supreme talents who play back sometime in the 90s after MJ had waned or retired. It made be watch him every time I had a chance. He was special.

people forget, steph still has solid few years left in his career. and this was even after a slow start in his career (until he literally changed the game to fit his style). he's becoming a better 2 way player too. he's not locking anyone down reliably, but he's got better defensive awareness compared to before. it's only gonna get better. i bet that once his career has ended, he would be knocking on top 5 all time.
