This is literally the greatest season of Steph’s career. This is what winning the 2016 championship would’ve felt like. Just a masterpiece of a season.
Winning 2016 would have been twice as impressive though lol imagine being the only unanimous MVP, scoring champ,steals leader, lead your team to 73-9 and win a chip, FMVP. That automatically would have put Steph in one of the goat list especially since it's his 2nd chip, MVP in a row and a path to 3 peat

He simply had a major shooting slump possibly related to off court problems. We saw several videos were Steph made all his shots in the gym, but he couldn´t make them in game.
Respect to Max for giving Curry his props. I was worried he’d move the goalposts once Curry won like Skip did.

I think people finally realize how good curry is. Just like Tom Brady it took me awhile to appreciate his greatness
Max loves his narratives and sometimes goes too far with it, but he's always recognized Steph's greatness. He's more in that old head class that wanted to see Steph as "the man" by far in the finals. I never agreed with that, but I understood where he was coming from.
Max is fair. He will change his mind when the situation changes. He is giving Steph his props and rightfully so.
As for Skip, I can’t stand how he trashes players making up his fantasy narrative.

For those who defend KDs decision to leave I get it...he had to prove that he could carry his own team. But here's why he made a mistake, at least up until this moment, he left for a team that's in disarray...JH walked out on him, Kyrie was unreliable, and his coach is still figuring it out. In the end I'm happy for SC, he never complained to the front office, didn't care to rebuild a super team...he just put his head down and worked hard. Could care less how anyone else feels, he's top 10 in my book.

Wiggins putting up numbers in line with a Chris Webber. Gary Payton Jr. can give the veterans some quality rest and is a top bench scorer right now. Iguodala is a glove and still a solid defender. It’s like winning the chip in 2015 is held against curry. No other year is injuries mentioend like 2019 finals or the 2020 finals. Plus every year Key injuries happen in the playoffs
This, in my opinion, doesn't take away anything from the championships that KD won with the Warriors.
But I do think it affects his legacy, because this era/decade of basketball was supposed be about LeBron and KD with Steph being the other guy/third wheel. KD was supposed to be the Larry Bird to LeBron's Magic, or the Tim Duncan to LeBron's Kobe/Shaq. But now, it's clearly about LeBron and Steph with KD being the other guy.
Steph has taken KD's spot (or maybe it was always his spot, regardless) as the arch nemesis of LeBron in this era.

It’s important to note that they guarded Steph differently in 2015 compared to 2022. There was much more early doble teaming that made Steph give up the ball for others to score so he made a few more hockey assists but scored fewer points
