I remember watching game 7 end and thinking that LBJ could retire RIGHT THEN because it was absolutely legendary. I was a neutral watcher of this series with no dog in the fight other than good basketball and it is probably the best legendary basketball moment I have witnessed in my lifetime.

After his failure in the 2011 finals lebron basically turned into God mode for the rest of his career. I'd argue that the 2011 collapse was a blessing in disguise because it made Lebron confront his weaknesses. He's been great in the regular season but come playoffs he turns into a different animal. If he needs a win, he will get his win (unless his teammates start choking like they did during game 4 of the 2023 WCF or JR smith in 2018).

Cavs fan here that lived in a little city right outside Cleveland, there was never a greater moment in my life than this Finals series. The comeback was so breathtaking and awe-inspiring. I still get goosebumps and chills thinking about this series. Thank you Cavs for bringing me so much joy in my lifetime!

I’ve played, coached, watched, and loved this game for almost 3 decades. I can tell you unequivocally that Lebron is not and will never be as efficient of a player as Jordan was when you break things down finely with percentages and actual mathematics - not to mention that Jordan would rather lose a limb than lose a playoff game and Lebron simply never had that mindset. He’s a GREAT player, don’t get me wrong. The best this generation has seen in their lifetime probably. But he’s not the GOAT by any means

Watched this game by myself. Been a Lebron fan since before he got into the league, (2002). I screamed to the point where I had no voice. From the Cleveland "fans", that doubted him to the Golden State 73-9, 3-1 comeback back. I'll never experience something like this again. When it comes to sports moments, this is number 1 for me.
I still get chills watching this freak of nature. Anytime you feel like the game of life it’s over you can draw strength from this amazing performance. This Dude love or hate him there’s no middle ground you got to respect that extraordinary basketball IQ and his unbelievable athleticism on the court. The 2015-16 Warriors Team that went 73-9 was essentially the same roster from 2013-14 that went 51-31 with Mark Jackson as head coach and then in 2014-15 went 67-15 and won the championship with Steve Kerr as head coach (and the Cavs had them down 2-1 before losing 4-2). The story has evolved since that time to make it seem like the Warriors were already a "super team". They weren't. Steph was just beginning his ascension to what we know him to be now, and Klay was healthy and the second best shooter in the league, and they could just outshoot all of the competition while playing great team defense. Hell, they had Harrison Barnes and Andrew Bogut starting. Their roster top to bottom weren't world beaters, but they had great chemistry. When they added KD to the Splash Bros that was simply too much elite shooting for anyone to overcome. You had three guys on the roster capable of going off for 8+ threes in a game. 2019 was fate breaking up an unbeatable union.

I love the final minute of this series especially because all three of the best players on the Cavs had a great moment. Lebron had the huge chase down block, Kyrie hit the dagger, and (very underrated) Kevin Love had Steph Curry in a prison cell on his last shot.

We’ve heard some talk about how “Angry Lebron” is probably the most unstoppable force in the NBA, ever. And it’s crazy because I think we’ve only ever seen “Angry Lebron” like 5 to 7 times in his 20 year career. Imagine if he could tap into that every game.
He never had the coaches to push him to that extra “2%” Ty Lue was capable. If he had Pop Pat, or Phil for 10-15 years, we would’ve seen something (somehow) even more special.
