- Making Dados and Rabbets is a tricky task on the table saw when you are trying to get a tight fitting joint.
I had some leftover pieces from my last project. So I decided to make something out of it. I came up with the idea to make my own version of the Kerfmaker. I wanted to make it so simple as possible and the leftover pieces were perfect for that. Once set the Kerfmaker right, it works perfectly every time.

Great design! Well done!
Great way to make use of those short left over chunks of t-track
Must be the simplest and easiest kerf maker design I've ever seen. I can't wait to design and build my own. Beats spending $35 on one. After all, we are woodworkers, right?
This KerfMaker is simpler than those commercial and DIY solutions on the internet. And, more importantly, is intuitive to use. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that.
Simple, elegant, and innovative design. The hand holes in the sled fence are a great idea too. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Only just saw this after looking at other kerfmaker videos and this is so much easier to do. Mind = Blown. Keep up your good work.
only one word: amazing!!!!!!
a big thanks for this
Very good, the easiest to do I found. Thanks.
Nice version of the Kerfmaker. 👍
Hello Sir. This was an awesome, excellent, and elaborated presentation along with magnificent idea. I loved it.
Well designed, your version requires less steps to create and is perfectly accurate. Thank you for sharing this with us!
After watching a few Kerfmaker videos I ordered one on Amazon - but I’m still going to make yours because it looks so easy! Great video

The best tools and jigs are the simplest in design and function. No need to over complicated things. This kerfmaker is all of that and a bag of chips. I will be using your design. Thanks for sharing.
Just gotta say, at first I didn’t understand you sled setup and why you were putting your hands through the holes. Then it dawned on me. That’s where you are supposed to put them to be able to hold onto the work piece and know that your fingers are a safe distance from the blade. Great ingenuity!
Best one video I saw. Thanks show more such video
I have watched a few of these kerfmaker videos and yours IMO is the better of them all. Well Done. I also liked the handholes in your sled.
This is the best one yet:

the hand holes are genius, and make this sled super safe to use i imagine, well done, i have watched bloody hundreds of sled vids and thats the first one i have seen, also reduces weight i imagine?
I agree. Those hand-holes are game changers. I will quite happily steal this idea for my sled. Thank you.
Hello from Easton Maryland. Wow! I made my kerfmaker and to build together took me day and a half. Your idea is great! So simple and so precise. All your ideas and woodwork is so good. Thank you for share with us.
Thank you.
This is a really clever design using the t-track 👍😎🇦🇺
First of all, sorry about posting on an old video. This is elegant! It is the simplest kerfmaker I've seen. I was thinking about ordering some T-track and then it dawned on me to use a sliding dovetail. Thank you for the great video and the cool idea @I SIMPLY BUILT IT !
Phenomenally simple and very accurate. Not only that but simple to build. Thanks.
Thank you
Sehr schöne Ausführung und Erklärung. Vielen Dank 🙏 🍀
Thanks for sharing this great & simple design. I had a small spare piece of T Track, but decided to 3D print the other part 👍.
I like your use of T-Track. This Kerf measuring tool is simple and easy to make. In December, I made one for me and one for my son for Christmas. He loved it. Thanks
Beautiful work....
Beautiful piece of work. Most enjoyable!
Thank you
Thank you for this excellent design.. I'm going to have a go at making one for myself. Cheers.
Love it thank you so simply brilliant
Simple, effective design. Going to make one. Thanks.

That's brilliant.
Simple, elegant and useful. Thank you. Saved for future use, and already a subscriber.
A very simple jig that is fantastic. Thank you.👍👍
Thanks. I'm glad if you like it.
Sweet! Nice work! I'm making one of those...👍👍
Wow...that was pretty neat!
Great and easy! Congrats from Brazil.
Best kerf maker yet. I think I'm making this one. Thanks!
Thanks. I'm glad if you like it
Have to make one!
Brilliant mate!
Muchas gracias muy buena herramienta que dios le de mucha salud , desde Lima Peru
Nice little tool! Simple to make and simple to use. I like it!
Thanks
I really enjoyed your version of the kerf maker. I did make it, but have not had a chance to use it until recently. I want to give you a shout out and kudos for your kerf maker. I was able to get my dado and groove right on the money. With the screw set as an offset for the blade thickness, you can also use it to fine tune the dado or grove. Thank you for the video and inspiration!
Very simple but very accurate.
The best design I’ve seen! 👍🏻
Sofort nachgebaut: Einfach, genau, genial! Danke für die tolle Idee!!
Danke. freut mich.
Simple design that works well using materials on hand. I used a walnut offcut and blue T-tack, just to be extra fancy. ☺
Here's a simpler version:

I have used your version of the kerf maker and love it. Missing your videos. Hope all is well.
I subscribed and rang the bell. :) I hope to soon build 3 of you projects. But first I must finish my work bench.
Great idea, great video, thank you.
Thank you
Clever tool. Thanks.
Shop made tools are always welcome, they help hone your skills.
Thanks
I like your designs. You manage to find very simple solutions to problems. Others I’ve seen are more complex and I think simple solutions are the best.
Thank you so much
You are amazing sir!
That is one heck of a nice Kerf Maker & probably the Best that I've watched be made on here!!!!!
Thank you so much.
Simple to make, but works! Great narration explaining why.
Thanks
This is an awesome idea! I will be making one of these! So SIMPLE. I do like how you simplify things. Great videos.
Thank you so much.
This design is awesome. I am considering making one out of HDPE to avoid any humidity concerns. Also using a screw insert along with a little blue thread lock to keep it stable.
I think this is the best design for a kerf maker (less complicated as well). I have built and used this design and love it. I like your idea using HDPE. The only issue I had with the one I made is operator error🤣 Not paying attention to what I was doing.
Hello my friend.
That's a great idea. Doing Dados and Rabbets is a difficult task at the table, trying to get in touch. Congratulations.
Thank you for sharing. Huge greetings...
Thank you
Thanks so much for this simple and accurate design. I made one today and can't wait to use it on my next project. I'm a subscriber!
Update: I used your kerfmaker for the first time on a project and my dadoes were perfect, best I've ever done. Thanks again!
That's the best I've seen. And beautifully explained.
Thank you so much
This is a really helpful build!

Good video. I'll be making a kerfmaker just like it. Thanks for showing the actual machining at high speed. I wish/hope others will follow your good example.

Will definitely give this a try before spending $60.00 on a micro Jig kerf maker
Thanks again for sharing the idea
Wow, this looks a lot more simpler than the other kermakers I have seen on CZcams, but it is really brilliant. Thanks.
Thank you.
Very good jig.

Einfach genial, wollte mir schon einen kerfmaker kaufen. Hat sich mit diesem Teil erledigt thanks for this.

Super simple and functional. All while saving gobs of money! This is the one I will build. Thanks for sharing this video.
On another note, in some future video would you mind saying the words, "I'll be back."? Just for the heck of it? No reason, really...
One of the simplest versions I’ve seen. I’ll be making this one very soon!
Dito
Thank you for the compliment
Très astucieusement précis pour de petits assemblages super ajustés Bravo
Merci
Great design I will be building this instead of buying a kerfmaster.

Best vid on this tool I have found, thanks, I will make it myself and report back
Off to make one of those👍😁
Super bravo!!
Pretty good job
Fantastic idea
Thanks
bien vu! une conception simple et efficace (le plus dur dans les créations c'est de faire simple. bravos)

One piece of wood, simple and easy to adjust. I'll do it next week
Very nice. Pretty sure many of us are going to be making t-track that way too.
Thanks
He visto muchos vídeos del "kerfmaker" y este modelo es el mas sencillo y preciso y fácil de manejar...,
