- Official DVSA guide to the driving test ‘tell me’ questions (where you explain how you’d carry out a safety task) at the start of your test. You’ll do this before you start driving.

Isn't it bad to steer while the car isn't moving? Because you can wear out the tyres and steering mechanism?

Do I have to physically open the bonnet and so on?

Why would the brakes feel spongy or slack? Is it spongy if there's trapped air in the system and slack if brakes are worn?

No as the pressure question is a tell me question not a show me question. Thus you do not have to check them.
