Oh man I just watched this video and saw the clip of Jake in the Humvee during the xmas parade. Dang I miss him he was always upbeat and goofy I loved it. I had to go back and watch the memorial video from 7/26/19, and couldn't help but tear up. Jake we miss you man, cant wait to see you again!!

Sooooo, I bought an abandoned country.
It has like an old M60 sitting in the Basement that everyone forgot about... Speaking of abandoned Military Bases, there's an old National Guard Base in NF that my dad was thinking of buying while it was still relatively up to date. It's very unstable and decrepit now. Kinda sad but if Matt wants a nice Summer Home away from the Texas heat, we rarely get above 100 in NY.

Yeah, me too. We had a boxer that could have been Dozer's twin. I don't know if it was the breed or the fact that he was a rescue, but he absolutely left his mark on our hearts...he was pretty special to us.

Don't do it, Humvees are litterlay trash
I wouldn't. Too many accounts of maintenance issues with them. My brother was telling me how they were always breaking down in Iraq and Afghanistan when he was over there. And, I've seen too many stories from owners on the internet. I don't know how Matt got so lucky with his, but those things (and the Hummers that are LOOSELY based on the HUMVEE design) are maintenance nightmares.
IF YOU ARE TO GET ONE, look for one from a shop that rebuilds them. I remembered seeing someone post videos from his shop on the work he does to correct all the mistakes and bad design choices in them, but that was YEARS ago, and I can't remember either the shop's or the channel's name.
