  • Based on a request, a little video on making a teacup. This is the first method that came to mind, but there are probably literally dozens of ways to make this in ZBrush.

    Thanks, great tips. It would be great if you could show some more zmodeller oriented tutorials for some more complex projects. As a beginner with no box modelling experience, I find this the hardest part of zbrush to learn. Just knowing the general approach to take is half the battle.

      Yeah, I agree, taking the right approach is very helpful. I'll definitely keep that in mind for future tutorials and hopefully come up with something that suits the subject.

    Thank you for this great tutorial. I use ZBrush to create jewelry designs. I'm kind of intrigued with Blender right now but I still don't think I got the full benefit of ZModeler. I like to model more complex designs such as prongs for stones but find Zmodeler a bit intimidating at times. Do you plan to have any tutorials for rings? Thanks

      Hi NineAmulets. It's funny, that actually came up recently, I've used ZBrush for collectibles, animation, furniture, toys, wall art, games, but for some reason the whole jewellery thing has passed me by. I must get around to doing something like that. It's not that it doesn't interest me, I just simply haven't gotten around to it yet!

      Thanks for your reply. I'm going over some of the new tools in ZBrush. I think I'll do an immersion training rather than try to learn Blender. I like the way ZBrush makes you think about creating forms. It's unconventional but it lends itself to a more natural way of designing...

      @@nineamulets7689 Yeah, they both have their benefits. ZBrush is still a better sculpting tool than Blender, but Blender has better modelling tools,, so if you learn the basic modelling tools in ZBrush it avoids having to jump back and forth between them to get the best of both worlds. In an ideal world we'd all learn both, but time is the enemy.

      yeah and one or wo questions as well :D like, when i drop one rope of chains, or strap, and start the other or second one, i cannot go back to the first one if i want to manipulate it later ? if its drawn its fixed ? as i said im new to zBrush :D bye
      and sorry interrupting your Sunday Sir. have a beautiful Day

      @SeanForsythTutorials  Před 3 lety +1

      @@blackswan6386 Yes, once you click elsewhere you lose your curve ("drop it")and have to start a new curve. If you want to manipulate one you have already made ("dropped"), you'll just have to use a Move brush on that now instead. All the more reason to make sure you're relatively happy with your curve before clicking elsewhere and committing to it.
