    Thanks for the video! I lost my owner’s manual somewhere in the mess in my garage, so this really saved me.

    Hi mate an informative video but when taking measurements the bike has to be on the side stand which makes the job a bit harder as the bike is leaning towards you. I've owned a sprint for 3 years and it's how it's listed in the manual.

      Hi mate thanks for reaching out, and thank you for the guidance. This is the first time for me working on this style of swingarm setup so your input is greatly appreciated

      Yep, this video needs updating showing corrected method of the bike on it's side stand.

    Hi, Thanks for this video, I'm in Oklahoma city, USA and just purchased an '09 ST two weeks ago and your instruction will be helpful when the time comes. The Sprint is too tall for me and I have an ''adjustable'' dog bone to lower it on order. Do you have any experience with lowering ? All my other liter bikes have not been this tall.

      Hi pcat1000 thank you for you comment & support I'm glad you found the video helpfull. No I'm afraid I don't have any experience with lowering, I'm over 6ft tall so I have quite the opposite problem trying to find a motorcycle that isn't too small. Sorry I cannot be of any help on that matter.

    Can I do this without the torque wrench

    • @thedbsworkshop1
      @thedbsworkshop1  Před 2 měsíci

      Yes, you could, I worked on bikes for many years in my younger days without one.
      But being very careful making sure to properly tighten up/secure fasteners properly.
      Also it's good practice to perform a short test ride then go over & re-check all the fasteners are all still tight & haven't moved.
      Although I would highly recommend the use of a torque wrench even a low-cost one as I've learnt over the years there is good reason to secure to OEM spec with different strength bolts/clamping forces or in some applications the use of stretch bolts(one time use) etc
      But of course any work on your own bike is at your own risk.

    Hey brother great video hope you keep making this videos about this bike so I can learn a little on mine, i have a 05 st model that i have issues with the starter, i bought a new battery but still turns heavily and i have to give it some real pulls of gas to start. Any advice on what may be the issue with it not starting at the touch of the button?

    • @thedbsworkshop1
      @thedbsworkshop1  Před rokem

      Hello mate, thanks for the support 👍 really appriecte it.
      I currently have a no start issue myself on the bike, hopefully have vid up soon on that.
      But any way with having a poor start issue I would start by checking you have proper fuel, spark & air.
      If you or a friend have an OBD2 reader there is an OBD port located inside the small key operated cubby hole on the right hand side fairing the one just below your throttle, try an see if any codes are present that will help to source the issue alot quicker.
      Other than that maybe go over your fuses/loose, broken or corroded wires for bad connections.

    Hi mate, what mirrors do you have fitted to your bike?

    • @thedbsworkshop1
      @thedbsworkshop1  Před rokem

      Hello mate, with the bike being the S model I just have the standard OEM ones that came with the bike when new that bolt onto the nose fairing beside the screen
