Larry David Is OK With Women Who Only Love Fame | CONAN on TBS
/ teamcoco - Zábava
He reminds me of my widowed father who always says:
"I wouldn't date a woman whose standards were so low that she would date me."
That's a very classic joke, even the Marx brothers used to make jokes like that. maybe even people before that
"Desperate and Particular" a true Curb saying
It's true tho
He repeated that on other occasions too. Obviously his favourite observation
hahahaha
"cant play hard to get if you're already hard to want"
Chim Richolds M.D No shit, Einstein, he said the same thing.
***** Using einstein as an ironic abuse as been done for longer than sherlock.
***** I'm not talking about the author, i'm talking about the saying. No shit sherlock, is a recent pop culture meme. But using einstein as an ironic abuse has been going on for a longer time.
president comacho Yes, but the point it doesn't belong to anyone, you don't own the the idiom. I can mix it up as I want, still makes sense.
Who said I was copying the idiom, I could be making up my own shit.
I mean I regularly use the word "no shit", i also see Einstein as an intelligent person, so obviously.
president comacho Yes like I said it was a recent pop culture meme, doesn't mean you have to use the pop culture meme. You can mix it up yourself, still makes sense.
You can tell Conan was really enjoying this. He obviously looks up to David.
I think most Comedians do. Larry never compromised, and waited for the world to catch up to his humor, not the other way around.
***** What do you mean when you said the world had to catch up to his humour? I hear that a lot. But I don't know what that means. Any examples?
Alan Seinfield took four seasons before it got popular.
***** As it should be.
Liam Redmond Larry's the man! He's up there with Mel Brooks when it comes to comedy legends.
That Quasimoto bit was gold.
Gold, Jerry!
Steve Darius
BAHAHAHA I see what you did there
The japanese Quasimodo?
+crzzymnn911 Actually, it's recycled from CYE where a blind guy dating an ugly girl is led to believe he's actually dating a model.
Best joke in the city, Tech. The *best*
I love how watching an interview with Larry David feels like watching a clip from Curb
He's a walking episode everyday.
Ya he didn't have much of a choice but to do Curb. Otherwise he might go nuts or drive others to insanity.
That's because he's really just playing "Larry David from curb" here. He's so over the top at all of these talkshows. There are longer calmer interviews where he really comes off as a different person.
@@verward I think he literally plays Larry David on talk show interviews like this because he know it's what people want, to make them laugh.
lol dude nice one
Seeing Larry break character and laugh at his own improv\script is just great.
He's actually quite a laughing guy in sets. Obviously, there are many funny things going through his weird mind even when talking or acting,he just can't help but laugh to his own
He does this a lot in Curb too, it's hilarious because if anyone else did it, it would ruin the scene, but with Larry it's perfectly believable that his character would laugh at his own jokes
@@bn3121i agree that it works well for his character, but i think itd work just fine with other actors/characters too. Ive frankly always found it kind of strange when no one ever laughs at jokes in movies and TV. Its one of the main reasons why curb feels so real compared to other shows
I've always said the mark of true comedy is when you can make yourself laugh.
definately not improv but ok
Larry David = least phony human being on the planet.
And probably Jennifer Lawrence
Peter Lohnes oh snap!!! Jennifer Lawrence is a good actress... idk, but her popularity sickens me... just saying.. cheers
Peter Lohnes how do you equate jennifer lawrence and larry david? she seems sweet and all but nowhere near as open and honest
Dave cappell to
Bill Burr
Jason Alexander did great playing this guy.
true and jerry and larry and the rest did great bringing larry into the character
+Tommy Can You Hear Me where was this
I would rather Larry had took some acting lessons and done it himself
wouldnt work. age difference.
That's what Curb Your Enthusiasm is! If David had played George in Seinfeld, we wouldn't have been blessed with a second wind of that comedy via Curb.
The only man I ever heard refer to Quasimodo as Quasi lol. Comedic genius.
Madlib
BlazingJalapeno that not usually just quas?
in the Disney movie the statue characters did too
Well, they WERE his friends.
hahaha awesome
Reminds me of the Curb episode with the blind guy who only wants to date good looking women.
HABOOS
Ah, yes. It's been a while, but I remember Larry being unusually nice in that episode. Maybe it was out of pity. The blind guy was a jerk though.
I just watched that episode last night Lmfao
Oh, Daredevil.
That’s every woman George was with in Seinfeld
When people base characters on themselves, they tend to over do it or under do it, but not Larry David, cause George Costanza is him to a tee.
+Steve Perry How!? LOL.
RealSupaHotFireVEVO have you ever watched seinfeld ?, its like they cloned larry davids brain and put it in jason alexanders head.
Steve Perry LOLOL NOT EVEN CLOSE!
You serious ? Have you seen curb your enthusiasm, the similarities are endless.
Steve Perry Name em.
Fallon take notes. This is how you interview.
Very true. Conan's interviews are rewatchable af
No interest in Fallon, Seth Meyers, Leno,... Now that Dave is gone Conan is pretty much the only game in town as far as I'm concerned.
+Travis Best James Corden is pretty good and Jimmy Kimmel.
This is how you interview: rehearse questions with the guest before the show, have both the guest and Conan memorize what to say, and then pretend to be surprised at the funny answers in the real show.
And, in case of comedians such as in this interview, ask them their current routine and make questions to accommodate it.
Not saying I like the others better than Conan, but really, his rehearsed laughter is as phony as all the others, he just has more charisma doing it.
God damn you, Conan, should have stuck it out at 12:30 then you would've had the tonight show and all your old sketches like "via satellite". My all time holiday classic smash hit jingle all the way.
Bill Burr, Larry David, and Norm Macdonald are the greatest Conan guests of all time
Agreed, but got to include Jeff Goldblum in that list.
@@CoinOperatedJunge Louis ck is a great comedian but idk about greatest Conan guest
Buddy, I completely agree with you. Those three are masterful guests. That's the trifecta. I would add Alec Baldwin sometimes.
you forgot Jeff Goldblum
@@GameTime-yj6qv No, Jeff Goldblum TRIES too hard to be funny. LD, Bill Burr and Norm are just NATURALLY funny.
Gotta love the honesty, rarely to see that these days :)
Frank Johansen indeed
Interesting seeing that he has a super shallow.zero emotion view on women and relationships
the problem with this mentality is its shallow and immature. they view all women as if they only use men for their money. and at worst theyll use that to justify abuse. for example look at Jon Lovitz and the way he defends his friends who have been accused of assault. Its all so fratboy.
"Quazi! Your a monstah! You're a hideous beast!"
Came to comments to write this!
That was just like the Curb episode with the blind guy who wanted a good looking girl
You're*
*Quasi
Sounds like George’s mother
Larry is so real. Genuinely one of the funniest people on Earth
No doubt.
The Quasimoto bit is so damn funny and when you think about it, so damn obvious and ripe for that kind of observation, and yet no one has done it before. Which pretty much explains exactly the particular genius of Larry David.
Yes because he is looking at pop culture through his own personality
That was on Seinfeld and Curb. That jokes about 30 years old
@@WakaWaka2468 Well I'm guessing it's his joke, regardless of its vintage, and it was the first time I'd heard it, so my comment still stands. It's his observation and it's hilarious.
He is a desperate and particular genius.
@@WakaWaka2468 No it wasn't on Seinfeld or Curb. He used the same idea, the picky guy who shouldn't be so picky. George being picky wanting a woman with really thick lustrous hair. The blind guy wanting to make sure his date was good looking. But it wasn't about Quasimodo.
Larry killing it, even coco was slayed.
He’s a genius. A real national treasure. Einstein of comedy.
Yag Shemash you’re a real idiot
Funkhouser was the real Einstein of comedy
What's so genius? It's a sitcom!!!
or of bagels.
He's the Epstein of conditioning young ladies. Ahead of the game!
With Jay Leno and Letterman it was more like Larry roasting the host; they couldn't match up to his wit at all. Here, you can see Larry sees Conan as someone who gets him or there's a perceptible camaraderie. There's a level playing field so there's a hilarious conversation. Thanks for the upload.
+Nimesh Nambiar I wonder if he just likes Conan more.
Nah. Letterman can easily match him.
Right on the mark, excellent dialogue and rapport because they know how to goof off
Conan is better at interviewing comedians. He lets them shine. Look at all of his interviews with Bill Burr, Sabastian Menascalco, and others. When he has lamer less funny celebs, he takes over the conversation.
Letterman sucks. I almost fell asleep watching him interview Larry
"Desperate and Particular" LOL!!! True.
I've never seen Conan laugh so much. Larry is just a walking sad man, I love it.
Watch him interview Bill Burr
Itamar Barouch
Both Burr and Larry are brilliant.
Watch him do norm Macdonald
Norm does that every time he's sitting next to him.
he's not sad. wtf are you talking about
Does she have a pinkish hue? A rosy glow?
don't forget the cascading hair!
I think messages labeled d he would like it here: are forwarded here.
Medalion Thick, lustrous hair is very important to me.
Medalion If I stick my hand in her hair....can I get it out?
***** Do you wanna be able to get it our or do you NOT wanna get it out?
I love that this guy is the exact person in real life that he is in his TV roles. Blunt, truthful, and direct while still managing to be funny.
This is still TV, that's Curb Larry David, not real life Larry David
I hope Larry David never dies. This guy is a genius and makes me laugh every single time.
I think that every time I watch a clip of him
Larry David is way too real!!!! Hilarious, love his style of comedy.
love Larry David sense of humor
Larry is correct. Pay no attention to why a woman shows interest in you - just be grateful that they do.
Some ppl might say that outlook sounds kinda desperate.
Personally I would thought a
Person who is decent in all the right places nice too look at and few important things in common
Is the least any person with a ounce of self respect
Would be aiming for.
Grafetul?
Larry is just being funny with some grains of truth. He's basically saying a woman being attracted to money/fame is like a man being attracted to physical beauty, both are just surface-deep things. But in reality he's not just marrying any ho who comes onto him, so it's not that literal.
He's transformed into Uncle Leo.
Jerry! Did I tell you Jeffrey got promoted in the parks department, the mayor asked for im personally.
You couldn't say hello?
he is the george constanza in real life
jheferson berman I know that but Uncle Leo has clearly taken over.
Jerryyyyyyyy...Helloooooo...
Does she have a pinkish hue?
+Abou Hanbal There's a hue.
+Abou Hanbal She's got great eyebrows, women kill to have her
eyebrows.
+CapitalJ2 .....who cares about eyebrows?!!
Really, very, nice and good.
Thick lustrous hair is very important to me.
"I am not that person
Go and marry a dentist instead" 😂😂😂😂
His being desperate and particular was clearly behind "The Fix Up" episode of Seinfeld, where Jerry answers every one of Georges ridiculously specific questions about the blind date even though he should take whatever the hell he can get haha. I love you Larry
A nice thick head of hair is really important to me 👴 lol
I wonder if the story of Newman stopping seeing that girl who was going out with Jerry was inspired by this...
Jerry: What's wrong with her? Don't you find her attractive?!
Newman: No! I need a really pretty face! But hey, that's me...
TruthBeTold Also happened in Curb, with the blind guy who thought that he was dating “a model.” (From “The Producers” story arc with Ben Stiller and Mel Brooks)
@@mrblaoblao6981 that and in the next episode when the blind guy demands a good looking woman
@@bestofmovieanalysisandvide1452 Exactly. HABOOS! And then Cheryl took her clothes as her Halloween costume
LD and Conan have a really good rapport together! Conan did a great job interviewing LD!
Two comedic geniuses. Conan's work on the early seasons of the Simpsons is underrated.
I am female and always thought my life is exactly like his. And today, I realized I am exactly like Larry lol
@craisins 86 Exactly! The only reason why women are desparate is cause they want someone who's infinitely above their leaque. They're not desperate to get a boyfriend. They're desperate to get someone they can't have.
"what're you nuts?"
You already know what kind of a man he is,to say that on a talk show. Genuine.
No matter how many times I see this clip, this never fails to make me laugh. Specially when he said "get out of here" 😂
The Quasimodo joke is kinda from Curb Your Enthusiasm, when the bald and visually impaired man wanted to date physically attractive women only. LD is the man!
+Pedro Ivan Lopez lol yeah Larry asks him 'who do you think you are?'
Love Larry David, he’s one of the all time funniest comedians and writers.
You know, Quasimodo predicted all this.
i like how conan is like you're a terrible man, and larry hits his hand on the chair like yup.
Larry David is Great! How can you not think this guy is funny. Curb your Enthusiasm is pure genius!
this is so hilarious! when he said, "are you nuts!?!" I spit all my water on the screen. I could not hold it in!
One of the funniest men alive. And I can identify with what he's saying. Unfortunately as a poor non-entity I don't have his enviable resources.
Larry started out poor. He acquired those enviable resources through his own wit, and by bravely being himself.
I can never get enough of Larry David. He’s the best.
01:17 "That's Good, that's a Good Thing!" - that is totally Jerry Seinfeld from Seinfeld right there.
Spot on! 😂👌
LD is undoubtedly one of the all-time greats, this is an indisputable fact of nature
His whole life is like a Curb bit, "desperate and particular"
Pretty good. Prettaay prettaay prettaay prettay good interview
Throat Cough at 1:45, Conanillingus
Larry David takes "Self-Hating Jew" to a whole new level ahahaha. Legendary man.
dark gob I think Larry likes Palestinians. It was pretty subtle in the chicken episode, but he described the conflict without the Zionist cloud perspective.
ahmad312
shut the fuck up
why does the comments section of every Curb video have to be filled with racist shitheads
oh right, "comments section". how silly of me.
dark gob I said nothing racist dude. Zionism is a political ideology. Judaism is a religion/race of people. You're one of them aren't you? LD would sneer at you my mans.
ahmad312 Nope, not even close. Just think racism is fucking disgusting. Also the fact that you completely missed the reference I made in my original comment, I found that pretty offensive too.
dark gob No, dude. I just dismissed the reference because it seemed weak and came off as really defensive. If you think Racism is disgusting you shouldn't be arguing with me, because one day, we might actually be on the same page my dude.
The thing is though, a sense of humour is so attractive ... especially a dry, quick wit. I’ve been around men I’m not initially attracted to, who then have made me laugh and suddenly before I know what’s hit me, my clothes are off 🤷♀️
Why did the chicken cross the road?
kiev moores 😋
Good Golly, Miss Lolly are they rich as well?
sawadee, weird question. Define rich 🤷♀️
I date men who are generally in a similar socioeconomic level to myself...
wanna watch the rest of the interview! so damn funny
I love the Quasimodo reference he always come back to
other then norm McDonald I think that's the only time I've seen Conan genuinely laugh at a guest
+moakley Bill Burr makes him crack up too
+moakley Check out his interviews with Harland Williams, hilarious! (or Harlarious) Bill Burr too, as mentioned
+moakley Also Kevin Nealon
+moakley check out his recent interview with john cleese
+moakley WITH a guest. )
Man, the Quasi bit had me laughing for quite some time...
Two of my favorite comedians! I wish Larry would come on the podcasts.
Desperate and particular : the perfect definition of George Costanza :D
The best humor ever.
I love how he went from a calm hot shot to an excited 12 year old within 10 seconds
I wonder if this is an old standup bit he used to do? In the 90s when the Quasimodo Disney movie came out etc. Really funny!
Larry is known for not liking interviews, especially these short form talk show interviews, but he always slays.
"Is she good-looking?" Quasimodo's friend had already started out by assuring him '...she has a great personality..." - everybody knows why you would say that....
Everything that Larry David says is gold! 😂😂
I could watch Larry and Conan all day. More please!
one word for this man unique
+James E. yes, but just think
He's the most confident man i've ever seen in my life
Love Larry. He’s so crazy funny. Always says the wrong thing no filter. He’s great with Conan. 😂
Desperate and particular !! that cracked me up
Desperate and particular rings so true.
Do you like yourself Larry?
What's to like?
You know I've never seen anyone like Larry David who made so much sense. Everything he says is so logical with common sense that it's hard to disagree with him. He just makes so much damn sense, it's crazy.
That was soooo funny! I'm still getting Larry David recommendations from CZcams, even though I hate "Curb your Enthusiasm", but I'm glad now. This was great. Reminds me of this hot babe, who said, when asked "Would you have married him if he was poor?", and she said: "Do you think he would have married me if I didn't look like I do?" These sexual relationships are all about conditional love, at least Larry knows it. Very refreshing, even though it's slightly saddening. I stick to loving my dog, he doesn't have to be rich, and I don't have to wear make-up.
Most honest person ever love this guy and his views on life can watch him all day
Even though Larry did some stand up, none of these comments are prepared 'bits'. That truly show's how intellectual and comical his mind is.
Best Christmas gift would be Season 9 of CYE ! please L.D. my man respect from Široki Brijeg
1:20 I get such a kick out of how funny Larry finds this idea.
I can see his comedic role in Seinfled in this interview, gold.
This man is comedy genius! I have personally been in half the awkward social situations he gets into on Curb Your Enthusiasm 😆
Every person should realize that: "there's no much to like about you as you", you know that??
Eve Shinkai money, looks, that’s about it
The Quasi Modo bit man! Hahahahahaha!! So funny!
Conan is great interviewing comedians - he sets them up and lets them run
Conan is the best interviewer on late night, similar to Carson where he lets the guest be themselves , not about the host. We'll miss Conan
HAHA at 1:21 he gets the giggles! in curb your enthusiasm he always messes up the takes because he constantly has the giggles lol.
I really like that part, it's like he is laughing at the joke he just came up with, because he immediately knows that it's a very funny comment.
that quasimodo story is a variation of that time when jerry tried to introduce george to a woman and he was asking if she was good looking and had a full head of hair or something along those lines. Still funny though XD
is it flowing? thick, luscious hair is very important to me.
@@guguigugu Should be cascading hair too.
@@guguigugu If I put my hand in it... Lmao
TREMENDO!!!!! thanks a lot Larry David
Larry is a great guy
You can just tell this man wrote Seinfeld
Good stuff
This is easily the hardest ove ever laughed at a Conan interview. Larry David is the best
i'm in tears, he is a genius!
OMG it's George Constanza!
When he did the quasimodo impression it reminded me of Marty Feldman .
“Are you nuts” Larry’s opener
Larry is just funny across the board, period…
The tale of my life: ugly and particular. God I gotta get rich
Feels like I’m watching a scene from curb lol
He is so George Constanza with that Quasimoto explanation
