      Ideal team and ideal structure. People think just because INEOS took over the results on the pitch would change too. That's not how it works.
      Anyways it's mostly the young ones I've seen reacting badly to ETH. Most of the older matured United fans I've seen or talked to all say the exact same thing you say. The fact that ETH has had to deal with so many off field issues as well as on field issues with injuries and still keeping us in touch of top 5 is in itself a great testament to his character. @@bg7393 Ah the gift of hindsight that sportsfans have yet they can only see whats infront of them righ now.
      The way Antony performed in Ajax was very good for example. He could not forsee his personal problem and he can also make mistakes in assessment of how he would fit into the Premier League.
      The way some people talk like this is like Ten Hag should know the future and must be infallable. Backing the manager means allowing for mistakes and working together. Thats what a good culture is. Thats what humans do.

    • @bg7393
      @bg7393 Před 2 měsíci

      @@Jabuba it’s nothing to do with hindsight, anyone with a brain could see from day one what Arteta and Klopp were building. When Jose’s spurs beat Arsenal he said after the match that Arteta would be the man to take Arsenal back to the top, tactically he’s phenomenal. Ten hag was blessed with a crop of academy players at Ajax and left them in ruins by his inability to replace them or coach what they had left.
      Antony at Ajax was ok, absolutely average. Hence why he was valued at £25m by United’s scouts but ETH pressured them into buying him. How on earth did he think spending over £80m on Antony was sensible?
      Every manager will make mistakes, Arteta’s squad management is ultimately what cost them the league last year. This year he’s rectified that and they’re in march with players coming back to a fully fit squad.
      Ten hag makes the same mistakes. He’s not improving players. He’s falling out with players regularly, and it seems to be random. No too side would take him after his showing at United

So many knowitall football guys in the comments talk shit like they know more than elite managers about whats going wrong and why and everything they are saying is straight out of someone elses mouth. Its laughable.
      And many of your assumptions about Eriks decisions are not down to Erik in full or at all. There are many things going wrong this season that are out of his control, and the mentality to jump ship on every manager is in my mind one of the things keeping us down. I know we will probably end up sacking him, but then we will do that to the next one as well, because they wont be successful fast enough.
      We chose Erik for many good reasons and not wanting to see it through to the end because it stings our egos or results. Thats weakness. Thats a big failure of character. Arteta got 8th two seasons in a row. Took Klopp 4 seasons to win anything. Even though the playstyle seems lacking now, this is a results business in the long run. Getting rid of ETH now would be disastrous unless we could recruit Pep, Ancelotti, or Klopp, perhaps…. guess that’s my only concern - is ETH a truly an elite manager, maybe not yet, but could he be? It’s so hard to know his potential with the choppy club environment but perhaps a truly elite manager could have more readily negotiated these troubled waters. ETH has potential but how much?

    I honestly think that Mainoo, Garnacho, and Hojlund all have the potential to be world-class at their respective positions. That said, if ANY club can bottle that, it's Man U. And, just so you know I'm being honest, I'm a Man U fan. Fingers crossed that regardless of whether ETH continues on or he is replaced that all the new top brass make getting world-class coaching, trainers, facilities, etc. a big priority going forward, unlike the past 10 years since SAF left.

    “Dynamic, attacking, proactive football in the last couple of weeks”
    Are we watching the same thing? They’ve scraped through wins thanks to Hojlund’s goals, half of which were just luck. United had less possession, weren’t controlling games and were simply out played by most teams. I can’t tell if this guy is trying to create a positive atmosphere to turn it around or if he’s just not living in reality

    • @akane_2247
      @akane_2247 Před 2 měsíci

      Wolves is the perfect example of what he’s talking about and West Ham also
      Against wolves we played brilliantly for 70 mins until subs were made
      The defence cost us a bit but we haven’t had a stable defence all season
      Last season our success was built upon a good defence and the attacking play was a bit off due to having no striker
      The attack this season has been good with højlund especially in recent months due to the introduction of mainoo into the midfield which has helped the midfield do better in an attacking sense
      United’s problem is a lack of depth and a huge gap in quality between starting players and the bench
