Love me some audio reactions to Tool. Pull up lyrics on the side if that's your thing. Vocals are mixed equally as an instrument. A part of the band. Only forward when the song demands it. Even playing live Maynard, the singer, is staged in the back on a platform near the drummer (GOAT). Bass and guitar are staged in the front. "Eulogy" has always been a fave!🌀

Do yourself a favor. When done with a reaction, turn off the camera, turn off the lights, lie down with your best headphones and listen JUST FOR YOURSELF. Tool is an experience. They take you on a journey. They may seem “all over the place” at first. Might seem like it doesn’t quite make “sense”. But soon you’ll realize that it is almost like it couldn’t possibly be any other way. It’s complex, it’s mathematical, it is flawless. It only seems like it doesn’t make sense because music is often so predictably, boringly manufactured… bubble gum pop that never surprises you, never makes you think, just designed to momentarily please the mindless masses. Not Tool.
The Pot is a great song… a good song for a first time listener but is FAR FROM their best song. Try Pneuma. Right In Two. The Grudge. Then dive into Lateralus, Fear Inoculum, Descending, Wings for Marie.
BEST. BAND. ON. THE. PLANET. Four absolute masters of their craft. Skilled and talented, yes. But also insanely creative and unique.
