- Hair loss is a natural daily phenomenon, but this shedding of hair cannot be the main cause of hair loss. A loss of 100 hair per day can be considered ‘normal’ not pathologic. But a loss of more than 100 hair per day is worrisome. This unwanted hair loss (Alopecia) is a clinical condition that develops when degenerative processes outpace hair regeneration.
The only FDA (Food & Drug Administration) approved pharma drugs for the treatment of alopecia are: 5‑alpha‑reductase type 2 inhibitor Finasteride (Propecia), and Minoxidil. These medications, which differ in mechanism of action and route of administration, are given as monotherapy or as combination therapy.
These drugs often are prescribed for patients undergoing hair-restoration surgery to reduce the amount of transplanted hair required to meet the patient’s objectives and to help the patient maintain a relatively consistent and natural appearance. Although minoxidil and finasteride both retard or stop hair loss and stimulate some hair regrowth, neither medication restores all lost hair or reverses complete baldness.

It's always better to take finestride 1mg alternate days because it has therapeutic effects for approximately 40 hrs. Only 0.2 mg is required to block dht per day but it isn't possible hence 1mg does alternate day will save from side effects .And it only inhibit type 2 DHT .

Akshay Sir is absolutely right, I was taking finesteride for 5 months with doctor prescription along with minioxidil. The results are good, however, definitely the side effects are there. Now doctor has prescribed dutasteride, don't know it's future effects. Hope Akshay Sir would cover dutasteride as well.

@@shashianandtoppo well the hair loss has definitely reduced to stopped, growth is also better. Hairline cannot be regenerated, however it looks better than before. Though apart from minioxidil and finesteride, I am also taking multivitamins and B12.

Very informative video. I have used Finasteride 1 mg. for 2 years, with daily one tab dose. I had no side effects. My hairfall stopped drastically. I stopped using this drug just before I got married. Now I have hairfall but not very much. I dont look like a bald person. Just the hair density became thin....I had hair like Anil Kapoor...lol

You should go for PRP. It's better than Hair Transplant and has no chance of Side Effects. Just Visit your nearby dermatologist and he will tell you how many sessions of PRP you will have to undergo 🙌

Finastride topical solution will still cause the same side effects, finastride molecule has a molecular weight of 372 Daltons it will go systemic in no time and crush DHT levels, RU58841 is a better option.

1.) I have visited hair transplant clinic once and he said your reason for hair fall is dht. So can i take it without a doctor prescription?

Sir I heard from a youtuber that ALA helps in absorption of Creatine, its around 2-3 months since am going to gym, I have some previous experience of weight lifting but I never took creatine or any supplement when I was in college.
I want to test my body by taking creatine but is there any serious and significant figures that supports the idea of taking ALA with creatine.

With all due respect Sir, the DHT levels after discontinuing finastride and dutastride never go baseline again, finastride is not a well tolerated compound the side effects will continue even after discontinuing the drug
