@@andresbg8757 tbh, it's not a bad arcade racing game, I genuinely enjoyed it.
However, if you're buying it only because you see the number and believed Ian Bell's "promises" that it's better than Project Cars 2, then prepared to be dissapointed. Very.
Most of the arguments about this game pointed to the fact that its name suggests that it is a successor to Project Cars 2, a sim racing game, when in reality, it is a spiritual successor to NFS Shift 2, an arcade racing game.
There's a plethora of reasons why this game deserves its critism, but if you just want another racing title in your library, I suggest you try it out first, so you can decide whether it's worth your money or not.
Or you can wait for a Steam deal, then you buy it at a lower price.
Tl;dr: do not expect this game to be an improved version of PC2, but rather see it as a simplified version of it.
Just my 2 cents.

Great video! PC2 isn't the greatest sim, but one I always go back to due to the immersion, VR support and variety of content. Somehow it's my second most played sim, behind only Raceroom.

The vr support has been one of my favorite VR experiences, even with a controller.
I still play it cause it does something not many sim games do. I good career mode.

I just last night returned to PC2, and had the best evening if racing I've had in a long time. Having played only ACC for the past 18 months I finally got tired of doing a 3 hour endurance race, only to have the game crash as I crossed the finish line,( in 15 place of course). Like you said, I thought "why did I ever leave to begin with"? It's good to be back. Thank You for this video!!!!!!!

I love this game. I think one of my favorite experiences was racing the Mitsubishi Evolution SVA on the 24 hour of le mans circuit with the thunderstorm weather throughout all the race.
Nice! Mine so far is taking the Jaguar Group C car around Bathurst. Unnecessarily difficult, but oh so fun

I brought this game a couple of months ago for 5 pound 75 pence because I was bored of FIFA 😂 , I think personally it's an absolute bargain , I wasn't a SIM racer personally but it's a superb game , takes a lot of work to figure out different car physics and tracks ect , but best fiver I've ever spent
I always told me friends how beautiful the music was and how it suit the game
I wasn't able to describe my feeling about cars in PC2 but you nailed it! They actually feel light but behave like they are heavy! That's the dissonance that i was feeling! Great video btw, keep up the good job :)
I love project cars 2....sure it's not rfactor2, or acc, or ams, but it still like what it offers on the consoles. And since I'm not a true sim racer ( I run stability ) it's perfect.
I love hopping back on here and doing a modern GTE P1 P2 race at Lemans and Daytona 24. I’d love to see them get back together on part PC4
Not read through all the comments but wondering if you’ve tried the Pops Racer FFB file on RaceDepartment. It totally transforms the Sim, it obviously still has some flaws but the new FFB makes for a really enjoyable experience. PC2 has some amazing content as you say, and the graphics are stunning. I’m spending more time with PC2 now than I ever have in the past. Nice vid, keep up the good work 👍🏻
Honestly I love this game because I can play it on a xbox controller without any assists. I find Assetto Corsa too difficult with a controller, I also don't have space for a wheel on my desk.

When I tried the Project Cars 2 demo recently, one of my first thoughts was "Why does the menu music sound like the soundtrack to Doom 3?!?" My 2nd thought on the menu music was "I am perfectly ok with this" lol.
Most immersive VR experience. Still love this game. Old timey Le Mans stuff is great!
I got PC2 on the cheap during the steam winter sale, and have been entertaining myself with the career on the rallycross path and also custom races in the rain. Once I dialed in the FFB and wheel sensitivity it felt really natural. Very long custom races with cycling weather types are really satisfying.
Any idea why some cars make the wheel clatter really hard? (G920) its road cars that seem to do it......

It sounds ridiculous, but playing Project CARS 3 has made me want to play more PCars2, which I barely played in the past. Great video, thanks for all the points you addressed! I'll be sure to try it again soon
PC2 has amazing vr support. And having so many options for classes and tracks makes finding interesting lobbies easy. I usually just host myself when I want to race something that isn't gt3 or gte and finding players is pretty easy if you make qualifying 10-20 minutes long.

I just bought PC2 for the first time for 12 dollars. I have to say, I love it so far. I agree with many points, it isn't a extreme real life simulator. I enjoy the balance between sim and arcade.
I also love this game simply because of the amount of content there is and how customizable the game is. I usually enter into a private race just by myself to learn, and set records while testing all the cars and tracks.
For console players it's kinda of the best SIM we have besides Assetto Corsa and ACC when it works

i haven't been following pcars3 at all, but i have heard about the hate.
I play pcars2 a bunch and it's really really fun. maybe i'm just simple, but i'm just happy to be in a VR racecar.
I’m at a stage now with ACC on console that I want a bit more variety with tracks and cars i drive and as original AC just dose not have the tracks only option will be to pick up PC2 again . Just so wished PC3 would have been an improved simulation of PC2 . They really missed an opportunity there .

I almost made the mistake of buying PC3 without watching a review, I re-download PC2.
I'll play that till them or someone else gets their shit together.
I got this game a while ago on xbox games with gold and I recently played it for the first time and I am so bad, as a person who previously played need for speed and forza horizon and little bit of forza motorsport, it's difficult for me but I am enjoying it.
Test drive PopsRacer FFB it totally changed this game for me. Tweak in the differential for the curb problems.... Tweak LSD clutch 90 deg on both power and coast... lower the preload and you’ve got a brand new sim.
Ah nice! I've heard of a lot of different FFB profiles and mods that turn PC2 into something almost completely different

I don't think PC2 did too much, SMS and Ian Bell made the mistake of abandoning the game after a year of post release support. If they had come up with another season pass and continued working on the game it could have been so much more, but their quick abandonment of the game is what has left it in a "what could have been" state for the rest of time unfortunately.
Still playing in 2021! And yeah the menu's music is amazing! My favorite soundtrack is Eau Rouge
Is this playable on PS4/5 with Logitech g29? If anyone has good experience, please let me know. I tried project cars 1 on PS4 with my wheel and even tho I changed loads of wheel settings, the wheel basically don’t work. Of course I tried wheel before messing but I couldn’t steer stay on track or anything.

Absolutely. Wheels help with immersion and a looot with car control. I'd check out the logitech wheels (g27/29/920) and the thrustmaster tmx/t150

Despite its shortcomings on the base Xbox One I've played it on so far, PC2 is just one of the most diverse racing sims on the market, especially for console. I applaud its variety in tracks and cars, the sound is also good most of the time, the dynamic time and weather options are amazing. Its definitely quantity over quality but god do you get a lot of quantity! The DLCs are also 100% worth it, with the Le Mans DLC being one of the best things I've ever seen in a racing game. Overall, its so worth it nowadays, especially with the flop of PC3, and PC2 will also be 4k 60fps on the Series X so I'm anxious to revisit it on next-gen.
TBH, All my sim racers friends told me not to buy it because of the physics and FFB. But I was already hooked by the graphics. I bought the sim (Not sim Cade) about 10 months ago, and I really love it. It has something unique. I didn’t like the FFB initially, but I found great FFB adjustments on racedepartment, and it was a game changer since then. I already put 70 hours of game playing offline/online. And I found that the offline is very enjoyable like if you have well organized online league.
I really would like to see some sort of investor taking this sim and give it a real TLC. BTW I am a 16 years sim racer, and I have all the sims except RaceRoom which I plan to give it a try soon. But a big YES Project Cars for me is a must to have sim.

you should compare PC2 to Automobilista 2 cause the are running on the same engine. And i heard really good stuff about automobilista 2 but i havent tried it yet myself.

This is the best sim on Xbox, which is still kinda a niche market but it beats the console ports of AC and ACC by MILES, it’s my most played game and the first game that wasn’t Forza 7 that I played with my G920, there are a few gripes, sometimes it won’t auto save if you back out of the game and come back in, which is annoying and the FFB is a little painful sometimes. But overall I’ve loved Pcars 2 and I still will

I have an Xbox one and PC2 is the only good sim that can run well on it. I’m hoping that when I upgrade to the series x that ACC will run well because I’m dying to get that game.
I started on Project Cars 2 but switched to ACC and it was a night and day difference never coming back , well i did and i stopped after 5 mins coz it was so bad
I think it is great. Wish it were a little more mod friendly though.
Totally agree with you. The number of classes is somewhat too much. Raceroom is more reasonable on this. But in VR, this game really shines. Assetto Corsa Competizione never got it right. Raceroom is kinda OK. Project Cars 2 is smooth and quite detailed. I wish I had a better VR headset and graphic board to see how good it looks with higher resolution.

They made this game free on Xbox and I’ve been playing the shit out of it love the Indy car side of the game it’s amazing when I’m looking for a sport car style racing I play forza 6

Me too. In offline project cars 2 is the one I go to just for a nice race in the rain. But AMS 2 is looking so good even in such an early stage, however most cars I’d like to drive isn’t in their current line up. But I’m sure they’ll expand in the upcoming years and by then I hope to see them become a giant they deserve it

I honestly got PC2 because of the 2016 Toyota TS050. No for a game I can think of has it. And also the spirit of Le Mans pack.

Yeah I wish more sims would give the TS050, and LMP's in general, more love. I know AC has some older ones and iRacing has a couple, but I think iRacing's are really the only ones that people use (I think??). The spirit of le mans pack is one of my favourite aspects of PC2 for sure.
Btw I do agree with the gt3 cars being a bit difficult to drive. That’s why I drive the TS050 a lot. Well I rarely play PC2.

funny you mention mod being a hassle, pcars 2 is excellent right now because of mods, the realism FFB mods and the 30+ new cars through mods, the mod cars are actually better than what came with the game because they were fine tuned and made with time and love.

Actually if you own both games you will see the pj3 has some upgrades , upgraded physics, graphics, sounds , sound effects , much better lighting , I wonder how come people trash pj3 if the handling and the physics is better than pj2 ? I mean the same feeling just fine tuned in pj3, ok in pj3 they simplified too much the menus, settings, most of the cars and tracks are gone , but if u care more about of the handling and physics the pj3 actually is a fine tuned pj2 ! I mean all assist off , cockpit view ,wheel , ok the pj2 is still feels more complete , more tracks , cars , 2000 settings, fully customisable, but don't hate pj3 until u actually test for 20,30 hours the game

That's the same problem I had with PC2, the playstation 4 didn't have the best visuals like the project cars 1 and I loved the first game, the game clunky on PS4 I didn't like the visuals and PC3 was too complex and the AI was so overpowered they do so well to stay glued on me for the whole the race I couldn't stand it, I hope project cars 4
will get the best treatment that assetto corsa had gotten.

Yeah, it's the original devs. They did get bought out by Codemasters back in January (i think?) But I don't think they had any say in PC3, but they might if they ever make PC4

Well one thing that PC3 has going for it over PC2 is that the cars drive and feel more consistently. Its great if you have normies over that want to try out racing with a wheel.
This might be more accurate if titled ‘Is Project Cars 2 still a good option ON THE PC?’. Because, for at least 2/3rds of the base, how a PC player feels about a game when he has a myriad of better choices has little relevance. And, because of the almost deserted online, the graphics downgrade compared to nice 4K on a Pro, the lack of weather etc., and no mods for AC, PC2 is basically the ONLY decent sim... ON CONSOLE.
With SMS having just committed hara-kiri with PC3, and Kunos having done the same by dropping everything but one class (I’m old school, I want to race cars without driver aids!), for console users, how good PC2 is is a very important question...
As a console user, I’d say the answer is yes, it’s a VERY good option. If fact, it’s basically still the ONLY option! The trick with the game’s inconsistency is simply to find out or look up which cars are sorted, which cars aren’t. If you just stick to those, it’s still a great game. ON CONSOLE.
You know, the platform that manages to throw up numbers like GT Sport’s online weekly player count of 100,000..! So the players are there. It would be nice for once to hear a bit more thought about the difference in choices for console users compared to PC.
You're right. There's a myriad of sim titles available on PC, so the existence of PC2 on PC seems kinda underwhelmed.
