What’s striking to me is how lean Nick has gotten between Marathon 1 and this one, shows the commitment to this goal
Yeah legs were like tree trunks in the first one
But then what the fuck is the point? It's not like hes blowing anyone away with a sub 2:50 but going sub 3 as a chunky muscle monster was pretty cool and unique
@@marcopaciolla6605 you think going sub 2:50 isn’t ‘blowing anyone away’? Do you know how difficult and rare that is for an amateur runner?
@@lechef3878 He's got a point. You both do. But if Nick wants to run fast, he's going to have to give up a lot more mass.
@@JStock1032 Almost sounds like you're insinuating that sub 2:50 isn't fast. Give your head a shake.
Brother you are a huge inspiration. You inspired me to start running. I started off at 300+ pounds and now going down and in my 220’s and counting and started running recently and just competed in my first 5K and got 29:57 time at a 9:44 pace and I DID NOT STOP RUNNING the entire time and I’m stoked about it. Thanks for everything and congrats on your achievement!
What helped you to run without walking? I can do a 5k but i need to walk every few minutes
@@oussamachaouch9568 I was faced with hills nonstop. Biggest thing for me as cliche as it sounds was mental strength. I’m paying for it today with cramps in my calves but I gave it my all. I went into the race telling myself I didn’t care about the time or anything my ultimate goal was to NOT stop running and I had to dig deep but short answer is that it was just all mental.
@@DeltaDxE I’ll try today to run without stop ✌🏽
Awesome buddy! Congratulations on the amazing progress.
Big congrats!!!
It's so crazy how you just have a whole team dedicated to YOUR goal. How the hell do you find other people who care so much about YOUR goals? I lift alone, I run alone, I compete alone, and I'm pretty sure most people are in the same boat as me. I couldn't pay someone to go to a marathon with me not even a family member lol. You dont know how blessed you are. Amazing video nick nothings better than watching people work hard for a goal then watch it all pay off as they achieve it
It's a team goal, even though nick chose it the whole team has buy in and once they're invested it's a team goal. The way you describe it sounds selfish and its not like that.
@@leslie7922 no not at all, I am amazed by it. It's awesome. Reading it I can see how it seems I'm antagonizing it but it's amazing to see.
@@nomaderic pretty sure they work for him at BPN lol
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, bring a team.”

I’m loving coach Jeff flipping through his note book with both hands while driving. Awesome team effort :) !
Then when he said " We are going to go.. left" When he was driving like it was in his notes, dude is so on point it wouldn't surprise me, but it cracked me up.
Just ran the Leadville trail marathon this past Saturday. My first marathon ever. A lot harder than I expected, rolled my ankle on mile 19. What kept me going was the “go one more” hat I wore. I had to walk the last 7 miles but i finished. This man is a true inspiration. Thank you Nick.
❤️
The editing around Jeff’s nervousness was gold! That man cares! Go one more!
I got goosebumps during this part! Props to the documentation team
I laughed so hard when the music stopped! 13:32 That was gold editing.
There is something about a race morning that I will always love. Waking up at like 330 knowing that three hours away you will be starting a race and in the pain cave. The raised jitters, mixed with the pre-fuel breakfast and caffeine is something else. Being up before everyone else and knowing that you will achieve something great is quite extraordinary and something that mini don’t get to experience so always be grateful
do you really manage to get 8 hours of sleep in and get up at 3:30am, to be able to perform optimally?
@@enrapturedgoose5317 yes, because it’s race morning. I’m already excited so I already can’t fall asleep and I can’t wait to wake up. I also want to make sure my fuel digest and I’m awake and ready
Haha, as a long-time runner and racer, I've always hated the pre-race anxiety I would get. Especially before big races, it would be on my mind for days to weeks leading up to it. The most satisfying thing for me was finishing, and then, I would finally be able to enjoy the whole experience. I'm glad you can find joy in the moments before. I've always relished the moments immediately after a race.
@@TheVd101 the way I see it is, you always got to enjoy the journey rather then the destination. It’s more for the journey because why do it if you don’t enjoy the journey because that is the majority of it
@@enrapturedgoose5317 as a runner you should know that its the sleep 2 nights before thats important because lets face it, no one sleeps the night before the race 😂
Kofuzi and Bare put out videos the same day breaking barriers they've tried to knock down for years. So cool to see.
Happy to see kofuzi finally break 3
Both super inspiring!!
Can't believe how he can run that fast holding that much mass. The guy is jacked as hell and still runs like a pro. Absolute machine and a huuuuuge inspiration this guy.
If it's too good to be true, it usually is.
@@fingertapper88 why the denial
@@lol-gb5vt he's obviously not natural.
@@fingertapper88 ah you may be right I misunderstood and thought you were saying he faked it and didn't even run under 2:50. It's still not impossible that he did it naturally though (not impossible doesn't mean it definitely happened though)
@@fingertapper88 you realize trt is bad for your cardiovascular health… if he was on something like the he would not be running like this.
This is so inspiring to watch! I just ran my first marathon 4:36. This gives me confidence that I can reach a sub 3 hour. Thanks for all you do!
A sub 4hr is actually pretty great for just a regular person , running 4:36 isn’t shabby for a first marathon .. be proud of that work
I ran my first marathon last week of April 4:46. I got cramps in mile 23 or so and had to walk to finish.
That’s gonna be a hell of a drop bro. Good luck.
@@wesleytwiggs7687 Appreciate that!
@@TheTenCentStory that's tough man!
I've been one step behind you this whole journey and our stories match pretty well! 3:47 my first race: hired a coach. Hit a wall for a 3:06: re-strategize nutrition and training. Solid 2:56 last race, and now hoping to break 2:50 in Philly. Thanks for all of the inspiration! It's been great watching your journey!
It's hard to comprehend how a person you never met can change your life. Your impact not only on me but on thousands of people is more than you can ever imagine. Reading your book, and watching every video and podcast has developed me not just as an athlete, but as a person. Go One More every day. Thank you for everything.
Even though he isn't natural, he still inspires a lot of people to lose weight; that much is commendable.
@@thomasblair6707 How do you know he’s not natural?
Such an inspiration!! I PR'd my marathon this year by a crazy. Went from a 3:56 in 2021 to a 3:11 in April 2022 at the Vienna Marathon. Following many of your training and motivational sessions put me up to what i am doing. Commitment is key
Watched this right before New York last week. Started to feel a cramp at mile 23 - the final 5 minutes of this popped into my head.
I thought of all the work I had put in and the sacrifices I made to make it possible, and made it through the sub-3:30 barrier.
Keep inspiring and pushing us NB
Loved the marathon prep series I did my first half marathon the same day you did this, you’ve taught me so much about working out.
I started watching you’re videos over 4 years ago as a fat 280lb 19 year old couldn’t hardly run a 15 min mile, I’m now a 225 and 23 years old and can run a 6 min mile. You’ve helped change my life.
Congrats and good luck with the baby. I hope you’re able to go all in with another race prep. You helped make me obsessed with running, I signed up for 3 more half marathons over the summer lol.
The video seemed short , I thought for sure the attempt failed during the cramp but wow , really something . For a sec , looked like sub 245 was close ., It's incredible to think that you have basically made a 2 hr improvement since you started , and here I am trying to get from a 27minute 5K to a sub 20 , let's go people
It’s better if you get your squat, bench and deadlift up. Your running gains are fleeting
This video is straight FIRE! Congrats Nick and the BPN team on the huge success.
Absolutely amazing!!!
What an incredible video, very motivational and inspiring. It was awesome to be able to meet you yesterday at the BPN meetup. Congratulations again on achieving this goal, you worked really hard and it shows!
Showing up everyday- and committing to excellence. This is why you reach every goal you set for yourself. Go One more baby!!
Always a badass inspiration Nick and the entire BPN team! Always love the “push” that happens in the videos because of how just real it is. Congrats on the marathon Nick and kicking ass team!
I love this! So inspiring! And congrats on the sub 2:50 that’s incredible!
Loved hearing more about your back story as a runner. So many of us give up when we are not immediately good at something ... consistency pays off. Congrats on achieving your goal!
Just signed up for my first marathon (finally) in August. This series has been a huge help and motivation. Go one more!
Incredible! Absolute legend and influencing so many people with the drive and motivation he provides through consistency and perseverance!💪🏽
Very inspiring. Thanks for the great content through the whole series
Amazing video, editing was on point!
I recently run my first marathon and it took me 4hr56 to finish. I made many mistakes in training and on actual race day. Even though I’m still proud of finishing it, you taught me that I haven’t put nearly enough work/discipline to expect a good result, however if I do, which I will, I can do much better. We all start somewhere, and we can all reach a goal which makes ourselves proud by putting in the work 🤗
Not only does this video me want to continue to get better, but shows how great of a father Nick is going to be. Nothing is going to stop him from being the best for his daughter!💪🏼💪🏼
good luck Nick! I watching your videos for several years. such a inspiration🔥. Don't forget to enjoy the marathon👊🏼
So pumped for this. Started running thanks to your content and it's changed my life!
Congrats brother, you're a huge inspiration. I ran my first marathon in Duluth, MN with a time of 4:19.
I ran my first marathon a few weeks ago mainly because of you Nick. Your an inspiration to us all!
What a great video!!! Thanks for inspiring us all, you're a beast!
Everyone needs a man like Jeff!
These video never disappoint to inspire. The transition you made from doing your first to this one… amazing brother, keep up the pace. Can’t imagine what we have coming up next 👀👀👀🔋🔋🔋
YES YES YEEEAA!! im so damn proud of you and the whole team!!
massive respect for not only YOUR hard work but also that of Jeff, the media crew and the whole BPN team + community!!

What a video!! Chills from the start right to the end of the video. Great effort and huge inspiration! 🏃🏽♂️🏃🏽♂️
This is amazing Nick!! 💯🙌
Just hit a PR for a 10K yesterday! Thanks for the continued inspiration!
i started running again because your videos. i’m slowly getting back to how i used to run. my body doesn’t get tired as quick anymore. my lungs are strong. thanks to you!
Great job man ! Truly inspiring . Thank you again for the content you’ve put out to help me along my running journey
Love watching your story! You helped inspire me to train for Ironman Florida 2022 and document my journey there. Go One More!
Great video! My 1st marathon was a 2:59 and 2nd was 3:15, this has definitely given me motivation for the next one!
Hey Nick. My first marathon was 3:51 and 7 or 8 marathons later, I'm going for sub 3 in September. The training has been really hard lately, fitting it in around work and dealing with pains and niggles and I get really sick of it, but videos like this get me amped up again - so thanks!
Good job, dude. Been an inspiration to watch the consistent effort and resulting progress.
I look forward to Nick’s video every time!
Damn vid made me cry. Nicks journey and hard work shows. Motivation for sure. Keep kicking ass Nick and G1M💪🏽
As a longtime runner myself, I understand that there is a MASSIVE difference between a 4 hour marathon vs. 3:30 vs. your sub-3 vs. this incredible 2:48 in Buffalo. I've often found in my racing, whether it's a 5K or 100M ultramarathon, that the overall number just sounds like a number that doesn't mean much. But then when you break down the splits of what that means, you see people's eyes get big. Put another way, there are so few runners who can even run 6:20 pace for a 5k (roughly a 19:40 5k time). You just did that for an entire marathon. I also appreciate the way you rallied with the hamstring cramp. I've been in that spot myself between mile 22 and 24 and had to stop and stretch. You controlled your mind brilliantly there--because it's so easy to make it almost an existential crisis. You're seeing your goal potentially slip away and it makes you question not only running but other things you're pursuing in life. It can spiral. You still finish, but you can lose minutes those last few miles. You avoided that and found that next level. None of us will ever know how it felt or what you were thinking in that moment, and it's amazing to be on the journey with you through the video--which really highlights that accomplishing an endurance feat like this isn't all sunshine and rainbows...otherwise it would just be about talent and fitness and not the mental component.
This is basically a Netflix level production, fantastic to watch
Amazing to see your transformation from your first marathon!
I loved running since i was a child but never thought of races. I just started 6 month plan for my first marathon and Im really exiced for it. You gave me the inspiration. Thank you for that
Hey Nick, I met you at the finish line of Austin marathon 2022! I was the guy in the Chelsea jacket who ran 3:28 while my friend Ryan ran 3:12! I suffered from severe asthma my whole life but am getting treated and want to run sub 3 like you! Good to meet you and congrats!
Gave me chills. Good job nick!
Inspirational thanks Nick and the whole Bare team. Amazing video!
I've been following your race prep and waiting each week with baited breath for the next upload.
It's been a massive motivation for me with the build up to my first proper half marathon;
I trained with the goal of doing a sub 1.35 half, targeting an average pace of 4.24km... Last year I ran a 1h47 half, today I ran the Plymouth Half Marathon and my official time was 1.32.47 🤩
Love this video! You are the reason for me signing up for my first marathon 3:20:46. I’ll take that for my first race time. New goal is a sub 3hr Boston qualifier! GoOneMore baby 💪🏼
Congrats! Thanks for being so positive and inspiring!
Nice Work Nick! We Love To See It!
Aside from you being an absolute boss and a real inspiration... gotta give a shout out to whoever edits these videos! Really well made, capturing the emotion/drama/elation etc. Great from all at BPN.
👊👊👊
Geez man! During my current marathon training, I’ve been telling myself lately that I’m not gonna reach my PR (based on how I’ve been feeling) and then I watch this and I’ve reignited the fire in me. Thanks, Nick!
Sometimes you suprise yourself, but generally whatever you believe will happen is going to happen
Pure Motivation !! Thank you
Awesome! Terrific work team!!
Looking forward to the video man! Thanks for all the inspiration!
