Flying the DJI Mavic Air drone super low to the ground - caused me to crash it :(
I think it has survived.. I haven't flown it since!

Francis, I agree. Experiment with that Mavic Air! Congrats on the deal working with Epidemic as well (I use them myself). That was a lot of footage. Have to ask...how long to edit all that? If you say you did it in less than 6 hours I've gotta learn some better techniques. Nicely done...enjoy the next trip! Also, nice herding of the sheep..LOL

Nice backward shots. Hope the drone is ok. Indeed correct, take out the battery asap to prevent shorts. To dry it at home, you can put it in a bag with uncooked rice. It will absorb the moisture.

@@FrancisDarracott glad to hear. Unfortunately something similar (but worse) happened to me yesterday. A gust of wind took my Spark and blew it towards some branches above water and crashed. Took me 2,5 hours to get the Spark out..
I was able to take it apart, clean and dry it. Got most of the drone working (believe it or not, camera/gimbal, connection to phone all fine), but I do have a battery signal error now, so it doesn't allow me to lift off. I hope some more drying will fix it, but I have little faith. Unfortunately the footage is also corrupted, so I'm unable to play back or upload the crash.

Bag of Rice, great stuff for extracting any moisture out of your drone if it should get wet, stick it in and leave overnight. We've all been there.
Rice is shit for that.. gets all dusty and it retains moisture so I had rice cause more damage (used to be a repair tech). get silica gel packets..
tbh I never dry my drones off, only failure after a rainstorm I have had was spark.. Mavic Air, Mavic Pro, mavic 2 Pro, Phantom 4 Pro all been very wet before and run like they don’t care. I wouldn’t submerge them but rain and snow prob not gunna harm them. I have over 65 hours flight time and combined 4,300 miles logged.
I think you did not crash the air. It was the beer who crashed it !
I’m starting to think that women are somehow born with the ability to phrase a question in “That” tone of voice. My wife uses it all the time with me 🤪🤪. Fingers crossed all ok with drone. Not much snow here in Merseyside. Thanks for the video. Take care and catch you later. Peter

Bad idea to place the drone in a hot place after being in the cold for long as any metallic parts inside will develop moisture from condensation just like your glasses will Fog up so will the electronics inside.No Bueno bro...
