I found your channel after buying my Spark and you taught me so much about flying the drone and video editing. We also upgraded to the Mavic Air around about the same time too. You could say I was one of your drone followers, but then you went on the Digital Nomad kick, but what kept me watching was your personality. Life moves on and i hope your viewers move on with you and keep following your life story.

I watch your videos mainly because of your personality and epic film making skills. Admittedly the DJI Spark videos lead me to your channel and gave me a passion for flying drones / also the balls to go travelling. You are an inspiration to me personally, ignore any negativity and do what makes you happy! CZcams is free, I have never understood people who complain on this platform about the content they decide to watch!

Of course I loved the drone videos as well, but it was really the ability you have for true storytelling that I will miss. Truth be told, I got my part 107 because of you. I purchased my Spark because of you. As a meteorologist and a small business owner working in the media, I understand storytelling. But not many folks can do it creatively. You highlighted that in every upload you provided us. My friend Francis, you dont know me, but I've watched you from afar, in the USA. I have to admit I began watching your videos because I too had a spark. But I grew to be amazed at the cinematography you have shared with us. Your trips and adventures, I want to go to Bali too! Haha! But I feel I know you, atleast a little bit. And I'm glad you let me, the viewer, go along for the ride. Your content has never been stale or boring. You have that it factor that we all wish we had. From your messy hair to your genuine smile. It's very strange, but I feel a kinship with you. You really deserve a show on Discovery or BBC channel. Your not just a great photographer, but an inspiration and poet to us all. Francis, kudos to you for seeing the light. Pure drone videos are candidly, from a cinematographer/videographer viewpoint, so yesterday. I found early on that I quickly got bored with producing videos only with drone content. That’s not to say I don’t still film with my Mavic but in a typical video only about 10-20% (if even that) of it is drone shots. Apart from the drone techies and folks looking for how-to-drone tutorials new videographers need to realize the drone shot (the aerial view) is just one tool in the storytelling arsenal. The challenge of course on CZcams is to monetize, monetize, monetize and that means one thing - thousands or millions of subscribers. It’s easy to chase that dream and get caught in the trap. You can have lots of casual subscribers or a lesser number of folks who watch because they simply appreciate what you produce. Stay true to your heart, but please, keep producing!

Hi Francis, I followed your channel when you started those DJI Spark clips (I bought the Spark too), watching you guys went to Bali and returned, I unsub when I stop seeing drone clips here but hey! It's great to hear your honest feeling here, keep the good work up and we'll all enjoy.
p.s. I kinda felt the same way when I started not bringing the drone out anymore and found that holding my camera in hands was my real happiness.

Inspirational message thanks for sharing. When I started my channel, much like you I just did it cause I love creating and documenting my experiences. I've wrestled ever since with publishing content to get an audience, or just publish what I love and what interests me at the moment. By not focusing on a single topic on my channel, it's been a very long road to obtain subscribers, and I'm sure if I compromised myself, stuck to one topic I could gain a larger audience. But every time I've gone down that road I've found making new videos less enjoyable. I love variety in life, exploring, trying new things, and so my channel is a little all over the map. I've learned to focus on what I like, I do it for me, if I pick up some subscribers along the way, cool. If not, I'll always have my content for my family, friends, and I to fondly look back on our adventures and I'll continue to love doing it, audience or not. Thanks for all you do, I'm glad I found you from your drone content. It allowed me to connect to your channel which I'll continue to support and enjoy drone footage or not.

Your spark video's are what inspired me to purchase my own Spark and gave me a new creative outlet and a new love for photography again. Before that it had gone stale and I just couldn't even think about going out and shooting. I was in my own creative rut, thinking about what to shoot to get some likes/follows on Instagram. I also recently took my first step into video/cinematography with the Spark and have now decided to upgrade - but it all started here, with your channel. So many people want consistency in content on CZcams, but at the end of the day, you need to create for YOU. Do what YOU want to do. Im sad that the drone content is gone (hopefully we still see the odd drone stuff?) but im glad that you're creating for you again and wish you all the best!

Francis, I did start following you because of drones. You are more than just drones. If fact, for the time being, I don't even own a drone. I was making money with my drone but COVID-19 has kind of screwed that up. None the less, I follow you because of what you do, say, and show. I waited for you to re-appear and now you are back and I am here with you. I too have let my channel slide and it may come back in the future but for now, I look forward to every video you do.
