I really like how his style has evolved over the years. You can tell he went from a fairly rigid traditional execution of martial arts to a very practical (aside from Kung Fu Killer) and more realistic approach to martial arts exposition in his movies. I loved the Ip Man series, but his style was very cool starting from Kill Zone, I think.

@@leomourinho4908 to me it looks like Kill Zone was the choreographic predecessor to Flashpoint. Flashpoint really took it to the next level, though, I agree. Flashpoint will always be one of my top martial arts films.
Donnie Yen has to be one if not the most complete fighter in cinema history, having mastery in Kung Fu and MMA, I don't think there's many on that level.

According to news reports by Hong Kong news channels in the late 1990s, Yen was at a nightclub with his then-girlfriend, Joey Meng. Inside the nightclub, Meng was harassed by a troublesome gang that had taken an interest in her. Yen warned them to leave her alone, but they persisted in causing trouble. As Yen and Meng left the club, the gang followed and attacked Yen. Yen beat up eight members of the gang who were later hospitalized.
