The over the top racism or the fighting? Lol
I’m not Chinese but as a lover of Chinese Culture, Master Yip’s fighting scenes gives me goosebumps 😌😂😂
This scene especially ❤
My favourite scene is the fight against Master Law. That’s so funny!!! Haha 😂
Master law could be "Why is stage so small?" 😂😂😂
Always loved the Ip Man series. So glad Chris Collins and Donnie Yen got to work together, such skill and dedication to what they do.
Thank you for your kind words 🙏🏼
Without role like this, movies like Ip Man will never be as great as it is! I always a great choreography fight, imo I feel you guys deserve more credit and shoutout for being part of a great fighting movie. 💗

I love that master Law always blames the stage after getting his ass beat dominantly, but at least he's always willing to fight first lol
From slippery table to small stage hahahaha
Master Law best comic relief 🤣🤣🤣

The scene has simple but excellent storytelling. I really like how each master does a little better than the previous one until he is ultimately surpassed. You can even feel the antagonist being nervous when he struggles to put the lady away. Great job by everybody.
wait what
The only people that stood a chance wud be master hong and ipman. I mean look at the over the top racist people here. They're shredded
After seeing other people's comments I decided to check and Chris's movements made much more sense. His karate blocks were closer to the body than Goju Ryu or Shotokan and felt more akin to Wing Chun, even when the form is flawless. His delivery is excellent and I honestly cant imagine how many takes it took to perform the flying kick takedown.
Great job. Simply great.
Very much appreciate your comment. The flying kick take down took 3 takes, we used the second.
@@SifuChrisCollins Holy, just three takes. That's amazing. It goes to show how good martial artists are on picking up timing for the technique and proper form, because the position of the back leg is pretty much text book.

Donnie Yen is such a wonderful actor, wish he would do more roles in Western films, and not necessarily kung fu/fighting ones, he has real charisma and screen presence.

This fight scene to me speaks volumes on the fact that no style is perfect. It really boils down to the person using their art. Every style has weak and strong points but it's up to the person to compromise the weak points and maximize the strengths. Beautifully done.

The Master V the Student is what I read from this. Colin should have realised that no matter how fast a Gunslinger you are, there is always someone out there that's faster than you. I know it's acting but what I say is true.
100% we must always remain humble.
I also studied Karate (Wado Ryu) and Wing Chun and believe that a combination of both styles are more effective than just one. I think this scene is a perfect demonstration of that, especially when fighting a much stronger and bigger opponent. Love the Ip Man series but recognise that Wing Chun has it’s limitations despite what’s shown here.
Thank you for this input💚🙇🏾♂️
the ``principles´´ of wing chun are exceptional but... it suffers from dynamism, varied blows and techniques that can be acquired from other styles.
Tbf, if you're looking for an effective fighting style, no style of karate or wing chun will be effective. There's good reasons for why people fight in actual full contact matches don't use either, and it's not because it's "too deadly".
@@TzunSu Bruce Lee thought the same ,that's why his fighting style was no style.
Pure karate and especially pure wing chun isn’t usually effective, but having a base in either and filling in the weak spots with techniques from other disciplines can make for a very effective fighter, they may need to use exceptional movement and timing which may not be able to be developed by the average person though
The first man: “ bullshit, why is the stage is so small”

This scene was actually my favorite scene in Ip Man 4. You absolutely NAILED your role, and were my favorite character in the movie! I loved how you theatrically and realistically displayed Karate fundamentals in a very applicable way.
