I've been wanting to find someone explain what goes on during such a ceremony for so long. Even if just a little bit of information. From what I've seen, a lot of groups keep their practices so incredibly secretive and refuse to speak of what goes on during events like this. It may be a 5 year old video, but I'm grateful to be blessed with hearing such a beautiful, meaningful speech.

My ancestors ❤ Nanticoke from both maternal and paternal heritage. And mixed with admixture from maternal grandfather with black. And even white on my maternal side but some generations back. But I appreciate finding my ancestors who I once didn't know ❤ as a human woman I honory journey and path. Thank you Unamaki ❤ Wiliyan ❤

I'm pleasantly surprised that a university has allowed for a Native American elder to explain and demonstrate both their customs and their traditions

He's a Canadian Indigenous leader and the school is a Canadian Indigenous university. "Allowed"??? You mean "honoured", I'm sure.
