Ford Maverick OEM Bed extender, IS IT WORTH IT?!

This is my impression of the Ford Maverick bed extender. If I could have do over, I would probably buy an aftermarket one. Not because they are cheaper, but because I don't think the OEM extender is very good.

I currently have a F-150 Lariat with an extender that is comparably difficult. Thank you, this video has sold me on the extender because I can remove it out without wrenches.

I wonder why Ford couldn't design an extender like my 2014 f150 had. It had a latch mechanism in the middle like a set of doors that would let you open and close the bed extender.

I want to get a bed cover. Will the bed extender be an issue?

No issue, but extending the extender will be more of a hassle since you will have to open the bed cover each time . Plus, sometimes you can't just slide things under the bed cover because the folded extender limits how much you can slide in.
