1999 Nordic Tugs 42 - an exceptional boat ideally suited for the Pacific Northwest. Well constructed and in remarkably good condition. Please contact Richard - 604-240-4627 (richard@calibreyachts.com) or Warren 236.987.8505 (warren@calibreyachts.com) or Toll Free Contact Calibre Yachts at: 1-844-838-2628 to arrange a private tour.
Nordic Tugs 42 are exceptional boats ideally suited to the Pacific Northwest. They are safe, well constructed, and have luxurious teak laden interiors but no teak on the outside. So exterior maintenance does not include sanding and varnishing each year.
The interior is simply stunning. The black upholstery on the valances and black window coverings tie wonderfully into the black aluminum window frames and beautifully accentuates the lush satin teak finish. Even the Salon door to the cockpit was removed and redone in black a year ago making it look new and matching the window frames.
The recently re upholstered settees are finished in a rich velvet wine color to further high lite the teak finishing and give the interior a rich luxurious feel.
In the pilot house you have everything that you need to safely and comfortably control your vessel. But it also seconds as a wonderful secluded place to tuck away from the rest of the boat with a good book or to just drink int he vistas of your anchorage.
A two cabin boat both each with their own head and well separated by the pilot house for privacy.
Full walk around decks combined with bow and stern thrusters make docking a breeze even in tight quarters.

Truly a northern boat and a heartfelt classic with all the extensive wood amenities. Exquisitely and lovingly cared for by the previous owner, the upgrades seamlessly have been integrated throughout the this mini yacht. Just watching the video I can almost feel the warmth of the boat wood taking you into its embrace.
Great, low key presentation by Richard, who is obviously Canadian and not influenced by the manic madness we suffer in the US.
This guy is like the Mr. Roger’s of the boat world.
I have watched multiple presentations by Richard and he is an amazing professional sales associate.
i listen, watch, just to hear Mr Evans
Professional, yes…
Knowledgeable, no…
Didn't he tell you?
I'd buy anything from this guy. Seems so trustworthy and a nice person.
I enjoy your tours. This is meant as a complement, You are the Mr. Rogers of tour guides.
Kudos to Calibre yacht sales for always reviewing the vessel in the water and lots of footage showing it underway in the water. Great reviews.

Who’s Bob Ross?
This guy really loves teak.
I find him difficult to watch. It's like he's speaking to vegetables, or dumb animals To be fair, he's not the only one. All of them promote non-features like the "galley thats right out where you can be with your guests" where else would it be? The boat isn't big enough to put it anywhere else. Pointing out where drawers are and how they just slide in and out like real drawers . . .🤗
@@dreed7312 But, just look at the wood... Dude has a real fixation on wood. I also find his presentation style to be long winded and pretentious.
@barking.dog.productions1776 😀😀 I know right? "Just look at this wood" ( he points to wood and camera lingers over it) Someone has to sell the women on it, but most of the women I know that watch CZcams aren't blind, and probably can tell it's wood without help . Ahh but maybe it could be fake wood, like all of those other million dollar boats have! 😆
Thank you again Mr. Richard Evans. I had a 27 ' Owens in my mid 20's, and would like to think about something like this 42 footer. I also very much enjoy Mr. Evans presentations.
The Bob Ross of the boating world!!! “Isn’t this beautiful?” Happy little trees......
Don't forget the soothing words, "Teak...... teak....... teak...... teak......."
OMG! It has Teak! Imagine that, and isn't it wonderful? And the windows are so big. So wonderful, so wonderful.
Can't you just imagine yourself standing here, staring out these magnificent windows at beautiful views. Wonderful, so wonderful.
Yeah dude, I'm looking to buy a boat, so imagining myself, you know, boating is kinda what I'm doing full-time right now so move it along to the cabins.
Isn't that nice?
The bob Ross of boat sales....look at all the happy windows
So huge!
Unless you've seen glass blown out in bluewater...
Awesome boat
It’s such a joy to listen to the presentation from Richard Evens he is so professional. No Ums or Ers after each sentence . He has a great relaxed style and the way he describes everything around the boat I feel just like I'm on board with him just great👍😍
Happy to read you enjoyed our video.
Love to have Richard over for a BBQ. Such a friendly and personable fellow. He comes over as a real nice guy.
We bought our boat from Richard and his team. It was a very pleasant and positive experience. Would definitely buy another boat from Richard. Great video!
Richard’s tours are fabulous, so relaxed yet informative 👍
You do a good job, descriptive enough for the retired engineer or business exec and speak to your audience properly, you and I know whom your audience is for this boat, nice work.
I fall in love with this boat and also love how the presenter show his love to the boat, the love from the eyes and the voice the reaction from him is just so lovely person.
I was looking at a sail assisted troller, like a steel Diesel Duck, or fibre glass Seahorse, but…..Dam! This, or it’s little bro, the 37’, is the boat I’m looking for! It would have suited my purpose perfectly! The range, the performance in a sea way of any type, and the accommodations are suited to a crew of three, in separate sleeping areas, for the long passages I have in store for her!
Perfect! Nordic tugs are a special breed. Great features, and simple mechanical fittings that will work forever!
I’m intending on making a big loop around the northern Atlantic.
Peace
BEAUTIFUL BOAT!!!! @ THANKS FOR THE TOUR...MORE PLEASE!!!!.... BEAUTIFUL BRITISH COLUMBIA..👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍
Richard. I watch a lot of CZcams videos showing different boats. It’s just a way I relax. I do own a older40’ boat but nothing near as nice as what you show. Just wanted to say I like the way you show these boats.
Thank you Richard
I’m going to listen to this every night before bed. This guys voice is so melancholy and soothing. Zzzzzzz!
This guy always does an excellent job describing Calibre listings. Great voice, very relaxed, just the right amount of "sales". Very nicely done! I can never buy, but always watch ...
This is one of the best boat sales video I've seen. Very descriptive and enthusiastic. Great job Sir!
Thank you for your kind comments. We are excited to be working on more videos. Stay tuned!
I love the way this guy explains beautiful boats.❤️
What a wonderful presentation. Executed with such grace and professionalism. This man has class🙏
A superb boat and as always a superb tour, thank you Richard.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love this gentleman's reviews.
You Super Great .,Sales Man
This guy could dominate the boat sales ASMR industry.
Thank you for your kind words :-)
Every time he says something like "Lovely Finish", it reminds me of the dead parrot segment on Monte Python, "Lovely Plumage."
LOL
No offense Richard.
Yes that’s true. He’s what made me subscribe to this site.
very nice compact boat!
Wow look at that wood, we be tuggin yeah Bouy!
Dream boat, excellent presentation by a gentleman.
Excellent classy and relaxed presentation.
This gentleman could sell me a Sunfish sailboat to cross the Atlantic; his enthusiasm and sincerity oozes from every word. It is a very nice boat also.
Checkout the Aquaholic channel. Nick certainly seems to enjoy his job.
This guy would be able to sell my used underpants to myself :) Isn't that great? Wonderful!
you could be dry docked anywhere and you would see beauty out the windows on that vessel
I love Richard Evans presentation great spokesman for the industry.
I don't hear any automobile traffic, being on the water sounds fantastic.
as the son of a renowned pacific northwest boat building family, Blanchard Boat Co. Seattle, I am impressed how you present your boats.......but remember the first rule on a yacht is remove your street shoes so as not to soil the carpets or scratch the deks
I don't think my buddies would go out with me on a boat called "we tuggin'"
I'm pretty sure you can rename it. I watched a video on that very good CZcams channel: "Go with The Wynm", They bought nice used catamaran. And the funny thing is that they thought they have time to think about the name, but the agent that was registrating the boat suprised them)) They had to come with the name right at that moment. So they called it Curiosity at the spot. Anyway it served them well in the end
I kinda like it...in a nauti way of course. I like the overall "fit" and "finish" of this seaman hauler
LOL
ICA509 In thinking of Viking Guilt as my next boat’s name.

Every presenter is different, this man does an outstanding job,.
3:00 "I wanna show you this door, sensationally touches it". haha its a ruglar door yet he makes it looks amazing, what a salesman you are very skilled xD
This guy will say everything is the best, huge, beautiful, ect. And it is all true.
I just love your presentation!! Man, you are legend! ;)
Another great presentation...
Very nice boat & presentation!
I love this guy! He'd be my perfect grandpa!
I’m amazed just as I seen the two bedrooms there’s another one this boat didn’t waste any space and did perfect space planning no joke I have seen this boat up close this thing looks tiny yet it’s so spacious!! As a new boat owner myself I bought a 1990 boat from a cruise line its 260 meters and has 2600 rooms i couldn’t believe it but during this virus I was able to buy it and it was just refurbished in 2017... I plan to make the boat of course just for me and I will only have my friends family and people who pay top dollar to be on board.
Sir, you never missed anything, got their money's worth hiring you Sir!.
I think of you when I get ready to sale my yatch called ,"Dreamin' "🤞🤗🤗✌️
He's gotten much better
Love youre review on this boat , cant wait for the next one , you are making me into a tug person.
Very nice boat & presentations
Great presentation and what a beauty! Looking for a live aboard, but figured, sadly, that this one would be out of my range. Saw in a comment below that she’s just shy of half a million, so, yeah, way out of my range! As I’ve been looking at videos over the last few months, though, the Nordic Tugs have won my heart! Only negatives to me: Though they did a nice job with the interior and black/wine is classy, too dark for my taste! Was surprised about the single engine and just wish you had mentioned gas or diesel. Maybe for some folks the model of engine would give it away, but it’s a simple addition to the presentation! You were really very thorough about everything else and love your attitude! I also appreciated the footage of her underway! Oh, yeah - in my fantasy purchase of this lovely lady, I would also have a talk with Poseidon about a name change! 😁
Definitely diesel!! You can tell by the engine. You just won't find gas in boats this size.
Huge propane locker.. great place to keep the golf clubs. 😉
Nice tour sir
Very good presentation of this beautiful boat.
thank you for your kind words.
That's a tidy looking vessel, other than I'd want to upgrade some fittings and faucets etc. it's a lovely boat. How is she in a sea I wonder...there's always a good chop on the water around Newfoundland...!
Nice. Would love to live in the 49.
A beauty....!!
I would love to see the Out takes of these videos ! I ve heard Richard has fallen off more than a few boats. I heard he once accidently ended up in the Bahamas during one shoot. How you might ask ? He fell overboard during one shoot and was swallowed by a whale who took him on the ride of his life. He didn't spit him out like some people. Another time, Richard accidently blew up a Nordhaven when he turned on the stove, and of course he had sampled one of the expensive wines on board and his breath reached the flames and Kaboom! Mr. "Teak" once fell asleep at the wheel of an Outer Reef 700 and headed out to sea and eventually rammed into a U.S Navy Submarine who in retaliation fired a torpedo into the Calibre Yacht Office and we almost went to war with Canada over that one. But why go to war with Canada, there's nothing there but trees. Love these videos !
You mean the only US submarine with plenty of teak aboard? Not to mention the beautiful wainscoting in the spacious galley. A beautiful place to be on those cold North West Pacific evenings watching the sun go down. Ahh Richard Evans. Such a star.
Nordic seem to do a great product.
Yes in deed. If you'd like further information, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Need to keep a 'flash light' with magnetic holder on the hatch to the lazzerette, so that you can actually see what's down there.
Nice video (and boat).
Thank you :-)
i have to say . You make it sound like a bed time story . great presentation ... As most sales people selling i just want to throw them off the dock.
Richard will find teak anywhere.
Nice boat and video. Might I suggest some actual audio of the boat cruising at speed and not music? Many of us are curious about noise levels while cruising for hours per day.
Verry nice 👍. Best regards from Germany Bavaria
Mr Rodgers neighborhood with a lurking, menacing air about him.
Love your reviews Richard, what a great craft! MIKE Virtanen
Only $410,000 Canalien Dollhairs! Cheaper than most Vancouver apartments. Except for the flooded basement, it seems Mint!
Personally I love the trawler style , looks like it would go anywhere , not like some with unfeasably large plate glass windows , tons of marble , topped of with a damn swimming pool .(Just saying .) Wales UK.
very nice boat..
i want it
I can't imagine hearing that bell!
The Mr. Rogers of boats.
SWEET! With open sun deck above, she'd appreciate a full stern deck cover; IE for the wet coast. I'd install a LAZY BOY for the Helm. Only issue, as of a majority of ships, the galleys suck. Chefs are never consulted for Galley lay out. If there is still an economy after 2023 I shall approach CEO of Builders regarding layout vs wasted space
Nice / Beautiful / Nice / Beautiful / Nice / Beautiful / Nice / Beautiful / Wonderful / Great / Nice / Beautiful.
He's really overdoing it.
you will bob around in rough weather with this boat. It has a full displacement hull, think of a cork.
@mike force ruffled your feathers didn't i? i don't know why because you have it exactly oppositely wrong. I know what i am speaking of, i move boats for a side job in the winter time.
@mike force thanks for the good laugh.
It's beautiful boat. Just again needs a little interior design renrwal. This wine colored covers must go)) And that carpet... I dunno, man... But everything I mentioned I guess the new owner will decide they way he wants, not me))
You guys missed a zero, it's $410,000....Bummer, my cat was already dreamin' about sleepin' on that dryer.
Paul Bosen 410 is still a smoke deal!!
@@thebenevolentfew3724 I can't even get a job with 38 years in my field so it's all relative. It also depends on your mission since this is not really a bluewater boat for 400K...
Oh well, only $409,049 short
Man. It must be nice to be rich and have no worries...
If you have a boat you have lots of worries..
@@leonardbreau8928 but if you're rich. You don't have to worry about them. You can just fix em. Because you can afford it. Lol.
Yes it is.
She's lovely, but dream on about weeks and months away with that Freezer / Fridge capability.
I'll see if I can muster up 42359...one of my relatives just croaked....
If i am ever buying a boat, i am buying it from this guy.
Sure. We are here for ya! :-)
Nice boat but I gotta say that TV is in a really strange location for the two chairs.
Agreed. Awkward.
One day he will show a boat finished in plastic and will be lost for words. Nice boat.
I'll take it..
All that black and those curtains reminds me of a funeral barge
New drinking game: take a shot every time you hear the word “space”. You’ll be drunk in the first 30 secs..
Most other boats have teak, cherry wood or Australian Blackwood. This one has space, lots of space. Go Richard, our favorite marine transport purveyor.
I'm telling you,,this is the guy from It's a Wonderful Life,,, Clarance
Cant see the back deck from the helm. What size is the engine? and performance specs.
I want this man to sell me my first boat!
When you are ready to make that move, we are here for you!
It sounded like an audition for npr 🤓
Dont mean to knock ya but watching a broker open every drawer isnt beneficial. We can see how big and great this is and how wonderful and awsome that is. You could cut back to 15mins and be fine. Folks buying a azimut in miami maybe but people in the market for trawlers/passage boats usually know what thier looking at. these tugs certainly got thier price in line with proven comp. Like GB but not sure anything else is in line.
Is this a true blue water ocean crossing yacht? How about giving out the tank capacities and range of the yacht. You keep deviating from subject to subject, the train of thought leaves when you stop and chasing direction by examining a hinge on a locker. Finish giving out important info
here is the link for the spec!
www.calibreyachts.com/brokered-boat/1999-nordic-tug-42/
Apparently the galley drawers are more important than any technical data
I used to do a lot of tuggin’ in my younger days
Haulin seaman ?
Some of us still do!
I have never heard of the electronic system that replaces bottom paint.
There seemed to be a lot of carpet on this boat. Is that normall? While I'm sure that is top grade weather resistant carpet, wood or other smooth surfaces work much better on a boat of this size.
Is it missing a pilot's chair? Can't imagine standing up all day, especially in rough weather.
you can use the remote he showed to control the boat
You can bring a bed from a cabin, it's even more comfortable))
Did you not watch? But I would like a chair.
you say "going on watch", not sitting on watch.
That is why he has the wired remote which operates the auto-pilot. Over 90% of your cruising underway is done on auto-pilot, but I agree that I would like to see at least a leaning post - preferably with a belt or wrap around feature for rough passages. A full pilot chair would probably take up too much space.
Richard should have been a doctor. He would obviously have a great bedside manner. Can you imagine laying in the bed and waiting for the results of a biopsy to see if you have cancer and in walks Richard, your surgeon. He starts with, "Well, we did the biopsy and yes, you do have cancer. Isn't that great?" He continues, "The good news we caught it in time and you're cured. Isn't that fantastic?" This guy is the consummate salesperson and could sell an icebox to an Eskimo. Great boat, BTW.
Richard could sell Ice at the North Pole.
